Square Enix Teams With V Jump Magazine For "Blockbuster" Project
Project will reportedly involve participation from magazine readers.
By Nick Des Barres, 04/21/2009
The existence of a mysterious Square Enix collaboration with Weekly Shonen Jump subsidiary magazine V Jump was revealed today via a preview page for the magazine's next issue.
Although we won't know the particulars until next month, the short blurb states "Square Enix [and V Jump] begin 'Project V', which will create a next-generation blockbuster! Perhaps your ideas will become reality?!".
A "next-gen blockbuster" with participation from the magazine's readers? It's conceivable the project might even feature characters from Shueisha properties, perhaps along the lines of Jump Superstars -- though the term "next-gen" would seem to preclude the DS. Stay tuned for info when the magazine is released.
Watch how this never gets localised because of licencing issues.
