Final Fantasy XI?

Does anyone here play Final Fantasy XI Online,and if they do,would they recommend it ? The reason I'm asking,is because I'm interested in getting my computer set up with it,so I can play it.


Isnt playing a FF mmorpg better than playing a FF video game?

I'm biased towards the video games myself. My biggest problems with FFXI are the retarded control scheme and the whole PlayOnline deal where you have to have about a half dozen usernames and passwords written down to play the damn thing. Other than that, it isn't bad, but I wouldn't even consider getting into it unless you have someone to play it with.

If I were you I'd pass on XI and just wait the year for XIV to come out. It is supposed to be a lot better and more player friendly than XI ever was. Plus the graphics look amazing.

I have to admit, though, FF14 looks totally sexy in every way. If it weren't a pay-to-play, I'd be on it like white on rice. :D
