On new threads: in the interest of keeping this section relatively organized, we've decided that discussion threads will be made on a chapter-by-chapter basis rather than starting new threads for every update. HIKYM is likely to run a hundred, maybe even hundreds of pages, and realistically every page isn't going to warrant its own full-length thread. Mods and/or the artists involved with the project will decide when a new chapter thread is called for. Do not start chapter threads on your own or threads for individual pages.
(Of course it could happen that a single page might be or become significant enough to deserve a thread of its own, but even in that case we would still strongly prefer that a mod or a member of Team HIKYM should be the one to start a thread for it. If in doubt, ask a mod.)
On spoilers: for now we're thinking our policy here is basically going to be caveat lector -- read the forum at your own risk. If you discover HIKYM halfway through the story, it's up to you to avoid spoiling yourself for things regular readers have known about for ages. The courteous regular can use spoiler tags at his or her discretion, but it's not necessary to do so and anyone who finds out that a time-travelling Atomic Robo killed the Master or whatever before they were ready to is advised to suck it up and stop reading the forum until caught up with the backstory.
On the title: no, it's not an intentional reference to How I Met Your Mother. No, you're not the first person to notice this. It is, as the ancient Chinese might have said, old meme.
