I kick myself right now for not being able to take a picture of it. But just today, on my way home i passed by a Decoration the City was placing in a local park.
7 Santa's mounted on polar Bears, Zig Zaging between the Trees in a line. 10ft Tall each... that was a bit... disturbing.
Specially since we have no snow over here. It just felt like a small Warcraft legion taking over the highway.
So... local stores, nearby homes... what you guys are seeing around this year?
Also... thanks to instructables.com

Those 3-foot singing snowmen will STEAL YOUR SOUL! The Santas are only marginally better.
Not a decoration, but I saw some fluffy animal toys in the Xmas aisle looking at leftover Halloween items and they seemed to have buttons. There were, like, baby fur seals, baby tigers, and a couple others I don't remember, but I tried it and literally shuddered. Uncanny Valley central. Great articulation, but just terrifyingly creepy.

In my hometown there's a giant Christmas lights display on the side of a building in the middle of town of a snow man. The first year they lit him up, everyone walked downtown to watch it but once they turned him on, his outstretched hand looked like it was flipping everyone off. It was pretty hilarious. Now his fingers are not lit up so it kind of looks like he has a stump for a hand.

If they don't, I get second deps.
I haven't seen any creepy X-mas decoration lately. There was this one blow-up 8-ft snowman but that wasn't as creepy as some of the stuff you guys saw.
EDIT: Oh my god the timing of this post couldn't be more perfect! XD My post count reads 666. lol

Once I saw two of those inflatable lawn ornaments in a yard. One was of Santa. The other was of a noticably larger snowman holding up a candy cane. They way they were positioned, the Snowman looked like it was brandishing the candy cane to give Santa an epic beatdown. It was fantastic.

Haven't really seen anything, but i was thinking about making a composite santa from robot chicken for the yard. make it out of plywood and have it propped up with a 2x4 or something, paint it and let the eggings begin.

I see a bland and uninspired use of lights most of the time, even just 1/100th of that electricity and 1/50th of the light of any xmas display could be used much better in my circles. Guess I'm an art snob.

Where I'm living at the moment, there is next to nothing on the christmas decoration front. Probably because I live in an area with a large number of Muslims.
On the other hand, I'm going back to my mother's for christmas, and I swear that the decorations there get tackier every year.
We're talking giant illuminated inflatable snow-globes, those vomit-inducing light-up snowmen, wireframe trains complete with lights, and of coursepeople the fake Father Christmases hanging from roofs.
Ugh.

Lots of lights. (http://brightnights.org/tour/index.html)
Huge attraction in my area every year. If you click "about lights" at the top it actually goes through how they make the displays.
