I went diving in this book with basically no expectations. There isn't really any way it was going to be as good as the first 5 books, becuase there isn't any way to present it in a manner that is indiscernible from Douglas' writing. That said, I'm glad it didn't come across like an attempt to do that.
Anyway, it was worth reading. Really, really, funny. But don't go in and expect to be satisfied in any way whatsoever with what happens to Arthur at any point in the book, unless you are a sadist.
