Hello,

Long term lurker first time poster.

I'm rather new to tabletops(but dedicated computer gamer and writer!). I think I have a decent grasp of the rules and am looking to start a weekday(or Sunday) game.

I'm looking for three to five players.

Setting?

I'll probably use a short level one adventure book to start us off, until a get a feel for the D&D map creator I'm using. It's probably going to be set in the Forgotten Realms.

Race/Class restrictions? You may use any composition found in the WotC 4e Character Creator.

Or just post here. But I'd prefer to be able to use some messenger program.

By the way I'm EST(New York time). We'll work on hours once I start communicating with people.

This site offers up a reliable digital table top:

Makes loading maps and digital miniatures extremely easy. The chat system is rather annoying and we'll probably end up using Vent or some other live voice chat(or even an aim chat room).

The best advice I can offer is that if you want a great experience you should try to set up a game IRL and find a group with a campaign already running, eventually the campaign will end and you could just DM the next one. This is generally how the tabletop RP community works.

All digital right off the bat might work too, I haven't really tried.
