So is this movie anything other than a documentary of Megan Fox's private life?

Sorta.... (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/JennifersBody)

It's written by the the same person who did Juno, so apparently it's also evidence that even an award winning writer can't make Megan Fox look good.

I don't understand why somone would write it. Did he just want the personal challenge?

I'd say she does it pretty damn well on her own.

I think you all are either missing the point or haven't been dragged to see the movie, but the worst part by far isn't how Fox looks but the deranged verbal diarrhea (or, Cody-speak) she and the rest of the movie's world spew throughout the entire thing, as opposed to just the first unbearably long ten minutes of Juno.

I thought the entire flick was just a Megan Fox porno with an Amanda Seyfried lesbian scene. Note - this lady right here:

Plays the nerdy chick. ...So yeah.

I don't understand why somone would write it. Did he just want the personal challenge? She. And from what I've heard from interviews with other actors/directors/producers it pretty much boils down to this: There's movies you make because you want to, movies you make because you need to, and movies you make because you owe someone a favor. I'm pretty sure this was either the latter or Cody just woke up one day and on a lark went "You know what? I've got some fame under my belt.....this'll be fun!" And penned out a pseudo-lesbian horror film.

Pseudo?

Needy Lesnicky: I thought you only murdered boys.
Jennifer Check: I go both ways.

I don't think Cody was like "Imma make an arty-indy film about teenage pregnancy which will play out exactly the opposite way real life teenage pregnancies work out." She was more like "Megan Fox is a ______ to budding teen men and curious teen women the world over, and I bet I could make a lot of money if I put her in a movie that deliberately has her naked/sexing/lesbian for two hours."

Oh, and hey, whaddaya know, according to Wikipedia:

Budget $16 million
Gross revenue $33,062,980

Look at the internet. If you went anywhere on the internet and showed a picture of these two girls:

And said "'I'm making a movie that has both of these girls that has a one minute lesbian scene." That would sell like hotcakes. Sexy, sexy hotcakes.

Acting wise?

I mean physically, your mileage may vary, and I find her decently attractive, but she's not a great actress.

or it shows that being good in one type of genre doesn't make you good in another. This is like expecting Stephen King to write a good buddy-cop comedy

I thought this movie was supposed to be moderately funny and/or humorous, a bit tongue-in-cheek as opposed to a straight-up horror movie. Haven't seen it, though, but that's what others have told me.

What if it was a dead baby buddy cop comedy? He might not be great at the straight up odd couple comedy but he could probably do some decent dark comedy.

I watched this last night and I'm wondering if those death tribunals were a bad idea. I would rather be euthanized than watch this crap.

The entire time I felt like Megan Fox was punching me in the crotch for wanting to see a movie with her in it.

What was up with that "witty" "dialogue?" I'm now convinced that Juno was just a fluke and that Ms. Cody should return her Oscar to the Academy.

same that, if this was a tongue-in-cheek horror movie it would work. But they didn't do that

From what I've heard it was quite self aware that it was a horror film to exploit Megan Fox body and ambiguous sexuality, so at the very least it wasn't trying to be entirely serious. I can't actually say though because I haven't seen the film. I'm just going by trailers, reviews and word of mouth.

The movie just blows. For every scene where she is hot there is one where she does something horrible. Hence the crotch punching.

BloodyMage

Yes, but is it aware that it's as bad as a punch to the crotch?

It doesn't appear to know how bad it is because its high off its own ass. Best scene in the film, the band sacrificing her sings Jenny (867-5309) while getting stab happy, was only bearable because Fox didn't get to talk much.
