So, hey, Lost has a new Season. Heroes too! And a bunch of shows and new shows too.
So, this is our overall chat room for the crap we're watching on TV now!
What you guys passing on and what are you following? I'm tempted at giving heroes a new chance this time around...

I'm watching Castle and...anime. And that's it.
Oh wait! SGU as well, when it comes back, and Supernatural.
Not touching Heroes past season 1 with a 10-foot pole. I'm good with that, thanks.

Is it odd I am most excited about new Aqua Teen?

Still waiting on the return of Lost and Stargate; Universe (and being forced to watch them online because I don't have access to the channel that they air on over here).
Other than that there's Sanctuary season 3, but that'll be a while yet.
Currently, I am watching Fringe, Dollhouse, Lost, Burn Notice, and Modern Family.
Fringe is quality sci fi. It's like, one part CSI, two parts X-Files, and a mad scientist. A mad scientist and his son consult with an FBI taskforce charged with investigating harmful fringe pseudo-science experiments.
Lost is... Lost. I still have a love-hate relationship with it. Love: the show. Hate: the love triangle.
Burn Notice is the reincarnation of every eighties action show ever.
And Modern Family is the best new comedy on television. There, I said it.

Lost, House, How I met your mother, Big Bang Theory, Scrubs, Better off Ted, Supernatural...
Yeah, I think that's it. I'd also be watching Glee, Flashforward and V but they don't return for a while. Waiting for Breaking Bad to return too since it's awesome.

NCIS's new season has proven to be quite gripping for me.

I watch far too much tv, but I get to watch it on Hulu, while playing with CAD models at work, so I guess it's alright.
House, Heroes (probably will never give up on it entirely), 24, Chuck, Castle, Lost, Better off Ted, Scrubs, NCIS, NCIS:LA, Leverage, White Collar, Psych, SG:U, Modern Family, Mythbusters, Bones, Fringe, The Office, Community, 30 Rock, Glee, V, Burn Notice, Dr. Who.
Maybe Caprica, haven't decided yet.

I'm satisfied by my policy of not even giving Caprica a chance based on the bad parts of Battlestar Galactica, including the goddamn finale. It looks whiny.
Lost's final season premiere kind of suggests that there was a point to most (but not all, that ship has sailed and the crew went insane and died) of what came before, so I'm going to stick with it. I'm impressed that it seems like the whole Egyptian motif wasn't just thrown in for cool points, like it usually is. Dead people really seem to conform to some ancient-Egyptian format. There's the physical remains, "ghosts" and shadows.
Also yay, real Locke.

Human Target makes no sense but I've been watching that one, along with a lot of the other ones you guys have mentioned...Human Target seriously makes no sense. Even the first episode had ten plot holes, and don't get me started on the passenger jet in the second episode...

Human Target feels retro to me in that it's just a plain, unapologetic action series. It's been fun so far, and it might have successfully distracted me from those plot holes. One thing about the first episode, though, is how Chance starts the episode saying "nobody deserves to die" while foiling a disgruntled employee, but then kills two people in the course of the episode and doesn't even try to prevent an innocent bystander getting poisoned. He lives, but that's just luck.
I still think the original, comic book premise was more interesting than this diluted version.

I can't even figure out how the guy didn't know Chance was under the hood since I'm assuming that the guy tied him up and put the hood on him. It's kind of like MacGyver, Chance can make the plot do anything he wants with just a few rubber bands and some bubble gum, except with Chance it's that he can fly passenger jets upside down for twenty minutes and nothing happens.
Yeah, I should probably read the comic book, I'm sure this is not following it too faithfully...when a passenger jet flies upside down for twenty minutes in a comic book it seems more believable, somehow...

I... I didn't- what?
What the hell? That's not a plot hole, that's a plot canyon... that's a plotonic fault! I mean, right after that situation that's in dire need of an explanation you find out that the guy's a lone nut: there's no explanation possible! I don't know why I let that one slide.
Maybe it's an artefact of the a previous version of the script where they were more closely following the comic book's premise, with Chance taking the place of the target every time, and not just posing as some random guy.

Yeah, I haven't read the comic, I assumed that he took the place of the target using like, prosthetics or something so he looked like him, but then the show didn't follow through on anything like that and just made him into a bodyguard.
But yeah, that was a plot canyon and I'm pretty sure that is also why the pilot was aired as a "preview" instead of the first episode. But then the "first" episode had the plane flying upside down.

Lost.
I'll also watch Archer when it reaches Hulu.
Aqua Teen you say? I'll check it out if I remember to. There haven't really been eight seasons of it, have there?

It's been on for at least 8 years, seems like. Whether or not there were 8 full seasons is probably up for debate, though.
Did anybody watch that Smallville 2-hour episode with the JSA in it? Talk about hilarious! Also, Hawkman had a Batman voice for some reason. You know, where it's all fake-gravelly but in a bad way. Really, the continued exploits of Smallville make me wonder if anything could ever save that show. AND YET IT WILL PROBABLY HAVE LIKE THREE MORE SEASONS FOR SOME REASON. Also, they introduced Amanda Waller and Cadmus (though called Checkmate for some reason), which should add added hilarity to future episodes.

I'm pretty sure you aren't supposed to bring your real-life hatred of wacky off-the-wall stoners into your enjoyment of fictional wacky off-the-wall stoners. In any case it's a funnier "sitcom" than any of the crap on the big networks.
