Pro-Tip: It's O'reily.

http://ccinsider.comedycentral.com/2010/02/03/did-you-watch-jon-stewart-on-the-oreilly-factor/

2 part video, not very long, not very great either (O'reily won't shut the hell up...) but i put this here mostly because it's about Fox, about the Daily Show, about these 2 guys and what the represent in a greater sense.

So, feel free to comment on the Videos and on the two of them.

For me Jon still seems pretty balanced and centered. O'reily keep on pushing, going all "Crossfire" with the pointing and the loud shouting and the non-point silliness that goes on and on and on...

It's always great to see Jon working outside of his character and his environment, because it's where he is at his most natural. Where you can read the guy best and disagree with him or agree with him in a more natural manner. And really, it just goes to prove that in the end of the day he knows what the hell he is talking about.

O'reily on the other hand, act's like a Clown in this...

I have a hard time watching even this, because O'Arseface just doesn't shut up with the juvenile insults. It's amazing that Jon can keep his composure in front of a guy like that, I'd probably end up breaking his face with my wrench.

I don't watch O'Reilly much. Going into this, if I knew nothing of his reputation, I'd chalk up a lot of his dickery to the fact that he probably doesn't like being the butt of so many of Stewart's jokes. But if what people say about O'Reilly is accurate, he was just behaving entirely as normal, which means that he was acting entirely out of hand.

From skimming the video it seemed like most of O'Reilly's comments were essentially "Hah, try making fun of me when you're on MY show now!" whereas Jon Stewart was trying to have a fair and balanced discussion. One point where I actually laughed out loud was when O'Reilly asked Stewart for his opinion on Fox News, and when Stewart mentioned that "fair and balanced" isn't a great description, O'Reilly basically exploded at the thought that a news station could somehow be biased. And then O'Reilly started throwing out all this circumstantial evidence that Fox wasn't hardcore neocon like how McCain wouldn't go on their show, and Cheney wouldn't go on their show... he was being completely immature.

I applaud Stewart for trying to turn it back into a rational discussion. He was being very honest, conceding points against his "stated" position, and trying to make the interviews more about the stories than about network animosity. I guess that's just not possible with Fox...

Actually i would say that the fact that Cheney and McCain didn't go on O'reily but Vice President Biden DID go on the Daily Show to be further proof that Jon (as a Comedian on Comedy Central) has more jornalistic cred than Most of Fox shows... and certainly O'reily

I wonder how much more these two clips have been streamed compared to the rest of his show. I know the difference was huge for the Crossfire thing years back.

Wow, O'Reilly's a bit psycho in the second clip.

Wait? What? Glenn Beck is an everyman? Hahahaha.... no. No way in hell.

Did that last bit suggest Colbert for president? I think it did.

This is news?

P.S. My uncle Thinks Bill O'reilly is a "Great man"

IF any of you meet him, feel free to kick him in the testicles.

Now that's a silly question, both of them and anyone within their immediate vicinity.

I seem to remember McCain going on the Daily Show as well.

Now that's a silly question, both of them and anyone within their immediate vicinity.

Including myself?

Holy shit. Thats all I can say, is Holy Shit. Lets throw out blatantly false information about something we don't know anything about but must know its evil because computers are of the devil, then invite a speaker onto our show to defend it only to not give him a single chance to talk and end the show before he can make a single counterpoint.

You were surprised? It's Faux News. Old hat insult, but I still find it funny, at least.

Thats still some Ctulhu Fthagn level of holy shit right there. This just reminds me of why I never go outside. The people out there are retarded. They're like NPC's in a Final Fantasy game or the random generic people on Invader Zim.

Definetly NPCs. The kind that stand still all the time and only say 3 or 4 phrases, no matter how often you talk to them.
"God bless america!"
"Burn all homosexuals!"
"Obama is a muslim!"
"Traditional values!"

There's this sandwich shop in my city I went to once. They have a TV on the wall that is constantly on Fox News, and when I went to write an order I saw the slip had "Freedom Fries" and "Freedom Onion Soup."

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Unedited version (http://video.foxnews.com/v/4003531/entire-jon-stewart-interview/?playlist_id=86923), courtesy of Reddit. Spoiler: O'Reilly's still a douche. What's funny is that even when he is out of his elements (Studio audiences, correct joke pacing, control of the video clip button, etc...), Stewart still manages to hold his own, get some solid points across, remain funny, and even manages to get the tech-crew laughing at times.

Some of the reviews I've read on the "interview" said that Stewart wasn't as strong as normal and that his use of big words and complex explanation of his ideas actually lost him points. The normal format for the O' Factor lends itself better to swift, decisive statements and very little explaining.

I think Stewart did a great job all things considered and am not really sure how I feel about being referred to as a “stoned slacker” by O’Reilly just because I happen to like watching the Daily Show.

While I agree that O'Reilly looked like a right wing asshat throughout the entire interview, I think the stoned slacker thing was merely a jest, considering he knew the person he was talking to was more a comedian than an anchorman.

In the end, O'Reilly clearly had no idea what he was talking about and the interview pretty much looked like http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd207/bendlee/TheORlyfactor.jpg
