View Full Version : Pokémon Umbral ~ Ruinous Origins: Signups, Q&A, Nekkid Pillow Fights...

Armored Bishoujo: "Sorry about the lateness. There was a four-hour power outage and I took much too long a nap to wait it out."

Things used to be so simple, y'know? Some kid from a backwater town turns ten years old, tries to leave town, runs into the local Pokémon professor who gifts them with their first Pokémon and Pokédex with a mission to gather data on all the world's Pokémon that they possibly can, and the kid goes off on his or her wild adventure, acquiring gym badges, continuously defeating an evil organization of ne'er-do-wells, and becomes one of the top Pokémon trainers ever.

I miss those days, don't you? But they're gone and we have to face our broad new future, for good or for ill, but usually for ill. Now there is widespread use of personal weapons designed to kill Pokémon and armor that protects from their attack types. Then you've got gene recombination procedures which allows fusion between human and Pokémon, creating "Pokébrids" that possess much of their human form, some physical features of the Pokémon they fused with, and all of the powers the Pokémon possessed or could possess. To top it all off, Pokémon-based crime is on the rise. Pokémon thieves used to be laughably incompetent. Now they're coordinated, powerful, and merciless.

Seriously, it's so bad that we've run out of Officer Jennys to throw at it. And that's why we need people like you. Those of you who love justice and Pokémon enough to fight against the wrongdoings of these criminals. We're the elites among countering crime and terrorism here in the Honmyr region, and we welcome you with open arms. Please sign up to fight injustice in Honmyr. Just note that we will require you to do an actual mission to test both your tactical forethought and your raw potential in battle. Don't worry, you'll have fun!

-----

As you've no doubt read, there are no nekkid pillow fights goin' on. I'm terribly sorry about that. But hey, you read the story, right? Interesting, eh? Setting up a profile will take some thinkey time on your behalf, so let me try to help you along with this simple Pokémon Umbral character sheet tutorial.

First and most important is your class. There are four awesome classes to choose from that require varying levels of thinkey time.

Pokémon Slayers have almost nothing to do with Pokémon except for the fact that they use personal weapons to defeat them while wearing special armor that protects themselves from Pokémon type attacks. All Slayers have reinforced armor that protects them against Normal-type Pokémon and can choose from a broad and exciting line of equipment that will give them the versatility and lethality they'll need to keep up with the other classes. Slayers are also gifted in that they can change their loadouts between missions depending on tactical data. Slayers can choose three weapons and four armor types. However, note that you can only equip one heavy weapon, one medium weapon, and one light weapon.

Pokémon Trainers use powerful Pokémon in battle to duel their enemy's Pokémon (or the enemy themselves). Trainers can have four Pokémon in their lineup which includes a Leader Pokémon that can know six different moves at one time including any HMs, while his or her other Pokémon will only know the traditional four (plus HMs). Between missions, Trainers can consider the tactical data and decide which moves their Pokémon should know before deployment.

Pokémon Hybrids, or Pokébrids, are humans that have undergone gene recombination to come out with all of a certain Pokémon's powers (including all TMs!) and some of their physical features (like ears, tail(s), etc.). Pokébrids have the power to achieve absolute synchronicity with their newfound powers and actually transform into a were-version of that Pokémon with greatly increased power and none of the type weaknesses (called a Paradigm Shift [which is usually shouted anime-style just before transformation]) for a temporary amount of time.

Pokémon Snaggers are something like Trainers, except for the following differences. A Snagger only has two Pokémon, and no Leader Pokémon. However, they can use special Pokéballs to subjugate desired Pokémon and bring them under the Snagger's complete control for the duration of the mission, including my own original type of Pokémon. In order to snag the target Pokémon, the target has to be weakened somewhat and a negative condition couldn't hurt. One thing you Snaggers should know is that your Pokéballs can help with that since throwing one both deals damage and causes Paralysis in the target, making them much easier to capture if you couldn't catch it the first time. A Snagger can only have two subjugated Pokémon at one time (if a Snagger decides to switch Pokémon, the no-longer desired Pokémon will go rogue and fight like an enemy, so be prepared). Additionally, successfully subjugated Pokémon are fully healed and ready for deployment upon capture and are not often targeted by Pokémon used by that same trainer. Cry me a river, enemy trainer, but your Pokémon is mine!

-----

That's it for Class. Honestly, I thought about a support class that used items and other stuff to assist and could even change loadouts, but I thought it would be pretty boring for the player playing that class and delegated it to an NPC that will be tagging along with you on your missions.

Name:

Gender:
Class:
Pokémon Registry:
Appearance:
Backstory / Personality:

Yep, the sheet's that simple in appearance, but once you start filling it out, oh man, You're gonna do some thinkin'!

The biggest part will be Pokémon registry, and it's actually pretty easy. Slayers don't need to put anything, since they can change their loadouts from scratch before deploying. Trainers don't have to do much except list the names and Abilities (like Levitate or Compound Eyes) of their Pokémon since they can decide on actual moves before deployment. Don't worry, I have an Ultimate Pokédex and access to Bulbapedia so I can rapidly check up on what's what. Pokébrids will need only present the name of the Pokémon whose DNA was combined with their own. Snaggers need only list their two Pokémon as they can decide moves before deployment.

Pokébrids should pay attention to Appearance because the gene recombination will affect their physical appearance. For example, expect things like ears, tails, skin discoloration, and other factors. For example, Wizardcat wants to be an Espeon Pokébrid, correct? It's only natural to assume that character would have that gem on the forehead as well.

As for things like Pokémon level and evolutionary form, imagine having Pokémon at around level 70, with unevolved Pokémon having higher levels to cover for the stat boost that comes with evolution. Moves will have more practical, real-world applications to enhance tactics and cleverness on the part of you, the players. Pokémon battles will vary greatly as well, so be prepared for anything.

-----

And now, for the Slayers in the audience. Here's the equipment that you can choose between missions. Remember: one light weapon, one medium weapon, one heavy weapon, and four pieces of armor. Read the tactical data before each mission once the RP gets underway and use that information to determine how best to suit up.

Light Weapons
- Claws of Twilight ~ Gothically-decorated wrist-mounted claws. Deals Dark type damage. Usually super effective against Psychic and Ghost types. Usually not very effective against Fighting, Dark and Steel types. May cause the opponent to flinch, forfeiting its counterattack. Grrr, baby, very grrr!
- Dragon Slave ~ Looks like a common sword and has a name inspired by a certain flatchested anime sorceress's ultimate spell of destruction. Deals Dragon type damage. Usually super effective against Dragon types. Usually not very effective against Steel types. I wonder if anyone would choose to equip this seemingly limited weapon?
- Capacitor Rod ~ An electric rod that charges lethal doses of electricity when not striking the enemy, then discharges it when in close proximity to the target. Deals Electric type damage. Usually super effective against Water and Flying types. Usually not very effective against Electric, Grass and Dragon. Usually ineffective against Ground types. Do not use to torment people you don't like as it is often lethal. Can paralyze the foe.
- Strange Parasite ~ Bizarre parasites that kind of resemble the Pokémon Parasect, these are thrown by hand onto the target where they unleash natural hell. Deals Grass type damage. Usually super effective against Water, Ground and Rock types. Usually not very effective against Fire, Grass, Poison, Flying, Bug, Dragon and Steel types. Please refrain from putting two Strange Parasites inside a little arena for hosting gambling battles.
- Toxin Bombs ~ Bombs that detonate on impact, filling the very near area near the explosion point with toxic gas. Usually very effective against Grass types. Usually not very effective against Poison, Ground, Rock and Ghost. Usually ineffective against Steel. You can poison most Pokémon with these so using them against other Pokémon isn't always a waste. You can use these to fumigate your house, but there are cheaper methods of doing so.

Medium Weapons
- Swarm Bow ~ Has nothing to do with actual swarms. The strange technologies employed in the arrows are under patent never to be tampered with. Somehow manages to deal Bug type damage. Usually super effective against Grass, Psychic and Dark types. Usually not very effective against Fire, Fighting, Poison, Flying, Ghost and Steel types. Seriously, how do the arrows deal Bug type damage, anyways?
- HV Penetrator Rifle ~ The high velocity rounds that are fired from this baby pack a mean bite. Deals Fighting type damage. Usually super effective against Normal, Ice, Rock, Dark and Steel types. Usually not very effective against Poison, Flying, Psychic and Bug types. Usually ineffective against Ghost types. Uh huh huh, huh huh, I said "penetrator."
- Gust Blaster ~ A shiny red weapon that has recently seen mass production as an effective means of generating powerful blasts of wind. Deals Flying type damage. Usually super effective against Grass, Fighting and Bug types. Usually not very effective against Electric, Rock and Steel. Has occasionally forced Flying types to land, rendering them vulnerable to Ground type moves. Should not be used to cool yourself down, unless you like being thrown back several yards.
- Netherworld Sapper ~ A revolutionary weapon employing experimental technologies that allow it to fire a strange coiling beam supposedly powered by trace energies from the netherworld. Deals Ghost type damage. Usually super effective against Psychic and Ghost types. Usually not very effective against Dark and Steel types. Usually ineffective against Normal types. Cannot help you contact your dead wife so she can tell you where the TV remote went. Try underneath your couch cushions.
- Titanic Fist ~ A powerful metal hammer that is used to pound the ground and cause localized tremors. Deals Ground type damage. Usually super effective against Fire, Electric, Poison, Rock and Steel types. Usually not very effective against Grass and Bug types. Usually ineffective against Flying types. A more kickass way to play Whack-A-Mole has never been invented.
- Synapse Disruptor ~ A bizarre new age rifle that can affect the mental coordination of the target. Deals Psychic type damage. Usually super effective against Fighting and Poison types. Usually not very effective against Psychic and Steel types. Usually ineffective against Dark types. May cause confusion in targets. Not to be used to hynotize your friends and make them behave like a chicken.

Heavy Weapons
- Napalm Thrower ~ A heavy weapon that bathes the target in painful jellied gasoline ignited by a gun-mounted pyrotechnic initiator. Deals Fire type damage. Usually super effective against Grass, Ice, Bug and Steel types. Usually not very effective against Fire, Water, Rock and Dragon types. May cause painful burns. Not to be used for getting rid of weeds and pruning trees, you psycho.
- Hydro Cannon ~ A heavy weapon that powerfully ejects blasts of water from a back-mounted tank that can be quickly refilled from various sources. Deals Water type damage. Usually super effective against Fire, Ground and Rock types. Usually not very effective against Water, Grass and Dragon types. Be your own Blastoise!
- LH Launcher ~ A modified Hydro Cannon that now blasts the foe with superchilled liquid helium, which is where the LH part of the name comes from. Deals Ice type damage. Usually super effective against Grass, Ground, Flying and Dragon types. Usually not very effective against Fire, Water, Ice and Steel types. For the last time, stop using these weapons to play pranks! Oh, and enemies may become frozen from application.
- Siege Boomerang ~ A throw and catch weapon of considerable size and weight that hits extremely hard and takes years of training to master the return catch alone. Deals Rock type damage. Usually super effective against Fire, Ice, Flying and Bug types. Usually not very effective against Fighting, Ground and Steel types. Can you smell what The Rock is cookin'?
- Crescent Moon ~ A lean, mean, Pokémon-slaughtering heavy scythe that strikes fear in any foe, even ones with protection against its type. Deals Steel type damage. Usually super effective against Ice and Rock types. Usually not very effective against Fire, Water, Electric and Steel types. Don't fear the Reaper.

Armor
- Reinforced Vest ~ The only exception to the rule of four pieces of armor, you'll always have this equipped and it won't occupy one of your two armor slots. Protects you against Normal type attacks.
- Pesticide Layer ~ An application of this spray that doesn't wash off in water offers great protection from the buzzy, buzzy wrath of Bug types.
- Shadow Suit ~ A ninja suit. How in the hell does this protect from the full force of Dark type attacks? The world may never know. You should note that wearing this makes you feel so cool that you may never flinch.
- Courage Emblem ~ Some kind of bizarre pyramid-shaped artifact, worn around the neck or attached to a belt or something, that discourages Dragon types from delivering the full oomph of their assault.
- Insulated Armor ~ Special armor plating that absorbs and protects your vitals from Electric type attacks. Renders paralysis ineffectual.
- Impact Gear ~ A soft material that reinforces the body's ability to absorb powerful impacts, like Fighting type attacks.
- FR Suit ~ A simple-looking uniform that actually offers great potential against Fire type damage. Renders burns ineffectual.
- Windbreaker ~ Yeah, yeah, out with the flatulence jokes already. This weighted jacket of special material shields you from the punishment of Flying type attacks.
- Holy Talisman ~ A white tablet with ancient scriptures worn around the neck with tough rope, this item protects against Ghost type attacks. Usually worn by people who frequent locations rumored to be haunted.
- Herbicide Layer ~ The application of this spray won't harm you, but it will keep Grass type Pokémon from hitting you as fiercely as they could. Renders health-draining attacks like Leech Seed, Absorb, and Giga Drain ineffectual.
- Jump Boots ~ Special boots with turbo boosters that launch you just as the microcomputers within them detect seismic activity, relieving you of much of the damage from Ground type attacks.
- Counter Injector ~ A quick and relatively painless prick from this waist-mounted device ensures that Poison type attacks won't harm nearly as much as they could. Renders poison (the status, not the attack type) ineffectual.
- Brain Case ~ Invented by wackos with crackpot theories about governments using satellites to take control of their minds, these reinforced skullcaps are actually quite good at protecting you from the full assault of Psychic type attacks. Renders confusion ineffectual.
- Thermal Underwear ~ Not just for old people trying to stay warm in the winter! This hi-tech bodysuit worn underneath your normal clothes protects you from the full wrath of Ice type attacks, and renders freezing ineffectual.
- Sonic Guard ~ A piece of armor for your arm that takes some practice to master, the Sonic Guard hammers away much of the damage from Rock type attacks. A good offense sometimes is the best defense.
- Platemail ~ Not a full suit, but rather enough individual pieces to offer considerable protection from Steel type attacks. Damsels might be impressed by your rescue performance, given that they've had enough to drink beforehand.
- Weather Cloak ~ A cloak with hood that protects you from severe weather, particularly Water type damage. Renders sleep ineffectual.

Gawd, I hope that's it. Took a lot more time that I thought it would've. Anyways, sign up, please offer suggestions, yadda-yadda-yadda. I'm going to go play Darksiders until I get tired of seeing blood...so...might take a few days.

ALSO, will there be items for trainers such as Poke-Flutes or healing potions/revives or berries/hold items? Some moves/tactics are based on those.

Question. Will some super basic moves like scratch and tackle be allowed automatically? I mean really it's just running hard without stopping for tackle and so. :3

"Snorlax, tackle!"
????
"God, it's so easy to do! I'm not a pokemon and neither are the hundreds of linebackers playing football back home, but we know how to tackle!"

I'll go ahead and post now, though it'll need some updates(or maybe a total rework) later on.

Name: Rakald Essertle
Alias: Bone Knight
Age: Mid twenties.
Gender: Male.
Class: Pokébrid
Pokémon Registry:
Marowak: (Details to figure out)
Appearance: His head is fully covered by a bone helmet. The helmet luckily isn't form fit and instead looks like a regular piece of armor(although still creepy in that it's made of bone) in a dinosaur theme. It obviously cannot be removed, but the jawpiece moves along with the actual jaw allowing speaking and other things like eating or drinking. His skin is naturally tan, and his hand fingers except for the tumbs are grown together, allowing little dexterity.
Backstory / Personality: Rakald always wanted to be a knight or some other sort of good-doer, the problem was, he wasn't physically fit for such things. The issue was resolved soon after he managed to collect enough funds to undergo a genetic recombination. At first he tried to be a vigilante, but without much actual know how on who and where is breaking the law, his efforts yielded little success. It was then he decided to join an official crime fighting organization.

---

A question exists though, how many moves and other Pokéstuff dose a Pokébrid get?

---

Will some super basic moves like scratch and tackle be allowed automatically? I mean really it's just running hard without stopping for tackle and so.

Dosen't every Pokémon have a move that is automatically used when it runs out of PP on all other moves (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Struggle_%28move%29)?
I mean, it's exactly the basic improvised attack form you're talking about.

Menarker

Technically, that's Struggle and it hurts the user as well. But I was asking for the sake of roleplaying realism, and no one would seriously choose to choose one of THOSE moves in their limited move-slot.

And according to the opening post, it looks like pokebrids gets all the moves possible by leveling or by TM/HMs. I highly suspect that moves learned by breeding would be barred, or at the very most, you'll be able to only choose one. (Can't have multiple fathers?)

Armored Explains It All! ~ Part I:

Q 1: Will there be items for trainers such as Poke-Flutes or healing potions/revives or berries/hold items?

A 1: "That's what the support NPC that'll be coming with you's responsibility. If there's items you'll always want her to have (of course the NPC's a girl, what'd you expect?), go ahead and let me know here. However, she can only hold thirty items. Choose wisely and give the other players a chance to ask for stuff. If spaces are left over, she'll fill those with powerful items like Full Restores and other much needed goodies."

Q 2: Will some super basic moves like Scratch and Tackle be allowed automatically?

A 2: "Expletive deleted, no. Besides, I'm not making it possible to run out of PP on your moves. That'd take the creation of a lot of data I'll never want to do. And you should just note that there are HMs like Cut and Strength that do Normal type damage and will always be available, if that's what you want. Jus' pretend they're like Scratch and Tackle. Come to think of it, are there really differences? Besides Power, I mean? Eh, whatevs."

Q 3: How many moves and other Pokéstuff dose a Pokébrid get?

A 3: "Pokébrids have complete access to all moves they could learn by level, TM, and HM all at once. And if they still don't have the edge, don't forget the Paradigm Shift."

Q 4: "You're not going to make the Kimonos be in this, are you?"

A 4: "M-...maybe. And why'm I asking myself questions?"

I'll be going slayer.

Though I admit, I'm mildly disappointed. I had been hoping to use M16s and RPGs against Dragonites... Alas, it was not to be...
Would it be possible to get one or two "standard" weapons (like, say, hanguns, M16s, RPGs, Anti-Air rockets (stingers)) and then fewer elemental weapons?

Also, regarding pokemon's moves...
I actually would recommend that each pokemon has a free "natural" move. Said move would let the pokemon in question use whatever powers it has in a very basic manner. Like Alakazam using telekinesis to, say, influence the flight path of a pokeball or charmander setting a piece of wood alight. The attack itself wouldn't be powerful or do much damage, but it'd simply be utilitarian.

I'll edit this with my profile once it's done.

I'm thinking about this, but I really only know the 151 originals and a few others, so I don't know how good I'd be for this rp. My pokemon knowledge is many years old.

Armored Explains It All! ~ Part 2:

Q 1: Would it be possible to get one or two "standard" weapons (like, say, handguns, M16s, RPGs, Anti-Air rockets (stingers)) and then fewer elemental weapons?

A 1: "Okay there, Rambo. I thought about military-grade weaponry, but decided that if someone wanted to just deal Normal type damage (as those weapons you just mentioned would), then they might as well strike the enemy with the butt of their equipment or punch 'em or something. Besides, it's not really part of the plot or anything, but thanks to the raw combat potential of Pokémon (not to mention their deployability in many environments where guns just wouldn't help at all), there hasn't been a whole lot of call for standard guns anywhere you look. Additionally, you can expect to see the guys armed with those weapons occasionally dying left and right from Pokémon they were not prepared to face down, which would add to the atmosphere. Just imagine the kinds of havoc a Salamence can wreak on a squad of dumbasses with M-16s. Then you'll wish you had your Liquid Helium Launcher."

Q 2: I actually would recommend that each pokemon has a free "natural" move.

A 2: "Menarker and I discussed this in the threads already (twice, I think) and I said okay. The difference between what I said and what you're asking is that I'm not going to make it a free move, just a free modification of the Pokémon's moves in its moveset. Additionally, if I'm thinking what you're thinking, then it's all a matter of balance in the end. Pokémon have a lot of things that Slayers and Pokébrids lack, and I had to do a lot of thinking just to create a balance. If I give Pokémon any more (like allowing a Misdreavus to possess and levitate a coffee table, then throw it at someone), I'll probably have to give the Slayers an Instant Kill Katana and the Pokébrids the ability to communicate with Pokémon or something just to keep those two classes appealing. Which I could, but I really don't want to. You're all powerful enough as is."

"Besides, I'm reserving all the really cool powers for my Pokémon."

Q 3: My pokemon knowledge is many years old.

A 3: "That's perfectly fine. Much of the information you'll need to play here will only need to be learned piece by piece. Aside from the moves and the Dark and Steel types, I don't think Pokémon has drifted from its basic roots. And there's various sources of information throughout the net that provide exactly what you're asking at any given time."

Appearance: Charlotte is about 6 feet tall, and is rather pale. Her hair is dark brown, and hangs loose to about her shoulders, and her eyes are a dark shade of blue. That She wears a very long fur-coat, reaching to about her knees. She likes to claim that she made the coat herself after having Buck kill an Ursurang. There has yet to be any confirmation on this, but no one entirely doubts it. Her story is also supported by the Ursurang crescent on the back of the coat. Aside from the coat, she also wears black leather pants. Is she attractive? That's subject to opinion. As in, it depends on your view of the sadistic.

Backstory: Charlotte used to be one of the bad guys. She was an enforcer gang who ran a city far up North. In fact, she was a part of this gang for quite awhile, and she did some pretty mean things while working for them. She beat people up, smashed things apart, and would occasionally sick the hounds on them. Her bosses saw her ruthlessness as a good trait in an employee. Unfortunately, he failed to realize it could be a bad trait in an employee to. Eventually, an investigation team offered to make a deal with Charlotte; a decent amount of money and an opportunity to work with an investigation team if she helped them take down the gang. She decided that she was better off on the side of the law in the situation, and agreed right then and there. Her former co-workers were dead the next day, and her boss had a suspiciously large bite wound. To be expounded upon.

Personality: Charlotte is rather laid back and sarcastic most of the time. Although there are moments, particularly in battle, where Charlotte can show herself to be very malicious and bloodthirsty. It is during these moments that she can reveal herself to be rather unstable Huge Bitch Bluh Bluh

Name: Revenard
Type: Steel/Ghost
Ability: Rough Skin- inflicts damage equal to 1/8 of the opponents health upon contact.

Renard is an eerie and unsettling figure. It bears a resemblance towards a silver fox, although is much larger. Upon further inspection, its fur seems to be made of metal and and also stands out like spikes, and they can be cut upon very easily. On his forehead however, his hair forms a completely black crescent moon. Revenard's eyes take a steely blue color, and always seem alert. It also seems to be incapable of making sound, and has no verbal cry. Its breathing is peculiar to, as it shows no outward signs of taking in air.

Co-op Technique (Hammond and Pike)
Future Shock: Hammond circles the nearby skies and repeated uses stone edge, forming a ring around the foes in battle. Using the metals within the stones, Pike unleashed a discharge into them, leaving the entire ring a cage of scattered and jumping electricity, which then finds its way towards foes.
Effect: Moderate electric damage is done to all foes from the Discharge. Allies are unharmed. An electric version of Fire Spin (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Fire_Spin_(move)) effects enemies for 2-5 turns. 50% chance of paralysis upon initial attack.
Rage Points: 70/100

Eye-Patch of Power

He presses on though, nothing gets him down, he's just to tough. His determination is terrifying, and strikes fear into his enemies. Its as though he is something unnatural, something to be avoided. This eye-patch, a badge of what he has gone through, only testifies to this, and amplifies the effect on foes.

Damage doesn't seem terrible at first, but the foe will shortly after feel a sharp drop in vitality, despite the wound being rather ignorable. In addition, Revenard seems to be more energized, and some of his wounds begin to fade away.
Effects: The foe takes physical ghost damage, and 1/3 of the damage done is added to Revenard's HP.

Trainer Action: Kick the Dog

Exactly what the name implies. Charlotte physically attacks her own pokemon to encourage them to do better or else. Once it is in effect, there are three stat boosts to attribute to either Speed, Attack, or Special Attack, but 1/4 of that pokemon's HP is lost.

Trainer Action: CAUGHT ON TAPE!

Little known fact: Evidence helps give you a worse sentence, not that we even arrest people anymore. Using her camera, Charlotte can get all of your crimes committed in just one match on tape. Maybe major enemies won't care, but it would be disconcerting for your face to be caught on tape for future reference if your just aa henchman. For 5 turns, any drop in enemy morale is increased by 20%.

MANETRIC'S EVOLUTION!

Name: Teslahound (Pike)

Question!

How long do the effects of buffs last? I could imagine someone with a Scizor using Double Team and Sword Dance to the max before encountering a foe/being deployed, making it a potential monster. (Not that it bugs me either way. I would probably pre-buff too if the situation allowed me to do so favorably.)

Placeholder for a Pokébrid, probably a Houndoom, but I want to do some reading first. Need to bone up on my Pokéknowledge.

[/COLOR]

Point taken... though sadly, disappointment also growing. This feels like something that's based too strongly on the game, with rules and movesets and stats and strengths and weaknesses. It's taking the pokemon world and adding some neat new ideas, as opposed to taking our world, bending the rules of physics a little and treating pokemon as actual animals, not as manifestations of stats and number. Water shouldn't deal extra damage against charizard because Charizard's fire type, but because it can extinguish the flame on its tail. And why should bullets do any less damage to Chari, as long as you hit it in the eyes or face?

To say it a different way:

I was hoping for:

"Geminex rounded the corner, gun in hand, moving quickly. The mansion around him burned, but that had been expected, what with all the fire pokemon around. What had been unexpected was the Electrode pokebrid that used explosion as soon as their team burst into the room. And it had all gone to hell from there. One minute he was firing off high-pressure blasts of water at Flareons, the next his head was ringing, vision was unfocused, radio was dead and the only weapon he had at his disposal was his M-16. And to make things worse, he had come across a Charizard, which had not been pleased at all. The only things that had saved him from its fire blast had been non-incendiary armor and hitting it in the chest with his gun-mounted grenade laucher. It had been stunned for a second, he had turned tail, and was now searching for the rest of his team. Of course, he could hear that bloody great dragon behind him, and while he had survived the fire blast his right leg has suffered burns, probably second degree. He stumbled as he ran/limped along the corridor, fell, and let out a yell of pain as a piece of burning ceiling fell right next to his already burnt leg. He hadn't known how accurate Charizard's hearing was, but apparently it was quite good, since as he was getting up a whitish-yellow beam sliced though the wall and kept on going, piercing the area where his chest would have been, had he not fallen.

What I'm afraid I'd be getting:
"Charizard used fire Blast! It's not very effective..."
"Geminex used grenade launcher! Critical hit!"
"Charizard used hyper beam! But it missed!"

...
Ok, that's vastly simplified, but do you sort of get my point? One has real-world rules, applied to pokemon, while the other transports our characters into the game world...

That having been said, while I'd prefer the former over the latter, I'd be entirely willing to play either, and really am not trying to criticize you personally, only your ideas.

You have found this informative.
That will be all.

Out of curiousity, is there any rule against using Smergle, the pokemon that can practically learn any move via sketching? (If allowed to use it, I'll keep in mind not to select moves that only can be found on legendary pokemon, thus keeping with the rule of no legendary pokemon use.)

I'm also assuming that Mind-Reader + Sheer Cold would probably be rejected. :3

Name: Matthias Sona
Alias: Oberon
Age:22
Gender:Male
Class: Pokebrid
Pokémon Registry: Venomoth (Shield Dust)
Appearance: He has gained a somewhat faerie appearance, with the large purple/pink wings growing out of his back. (Would flying be allowed or would that be reserved for his paradigm shift if at all?)He also has the 3 horn-like antennae and somewhat creepily the fangs just barely showing from his upper lip. (more to be added here but that's the majority of his appearance change. Might be a slight discoloration as well)

Gained a castform form. All 4 of those appearances are editted in here.

Matthias: Castform appearance (All 4 of its forms)

Normal: His eyes have widened and become large, beady and black. The skin on his body has turned gray except around his eyes which have a sunglasses effect (the skin being a pale white). As he walks occasionally a small cloud forms from the top of his head before dissipating.

Sun (Fire): His skin turns orange/red and a series of orange orbs encircle his head. No longer leaves clouds in his wake though his eyes stay the same.

Hail (Ice): Skin turns purple and a windstorm kicks up around him. Doesn't have any real affect other then making it slightly awkward to stand near him due to debris.

Rain (Water): Head changes to a teardrop shape and appears to be a solidified drop of water.

Porygon-Z form gained: Ability: Download

Appearance: Matthias's arms and legs have all turned light blue, but as of this point color changes are practically second nature. However his entire body has become smoothed out and is now somewhat reflective, almost as if he was completely wrapped in plastic. His eyes have also changed into the appearance of bulls-eyes.

Synch Techs:
Venomoth (Matthias) [Powder Punishment] ~ Uses Disable, Toxic, Supersonic, Stun Spore, and Sleep Powder on the target with 100% effectiveness. Need to rid yourself of a threat but couldn't possibly do so by killing it? Try this move and see if you don't fuck 'em up royally.
- Castform (Matthias) [Forecast Shift] ~ Takes control of the weather and allows it to be whatever Matthias wants it to be. Got a sandstorm you don't want and wish Sunny Day was in effect? This is your move. Oh, and you can still use a move in that turn! Turn the tables on the environment and on your opponent.
- Porygon Z Synchronization Technique: ZOMGH4X!!1! - Transforms into digital information and hacks into the target mechanical unit for 3 turns. Able to use their moves like he has always been that unit. This extends to Engineer devices (exempting Evoliths), mechanical Pokemon like an enemy Magnezone, and various vehicles and powered armors. Against mechanical bosses, he can disable certain moves (like Cerulean Wildfire's plasmathrowers) but otherwise cannot control them directly.

Backstory / Personality: Matthias was almost always the quiet one. He preferred to listen, watch, learn and when the moment came to mislead to be the one to do the misleading. That isn't to say that he didn't have a strong sense of what he believed to be right or wrong, he just preferred more subtle ways to turn the tide. Hence why he chose Venomoth to cross his DNA. Psychic and Poison attacks were the perfect thing to enhance his tactics. He joined with law enforcement for the simple fact that it's much easier to be subtle when you have others to do the brunt of the manual labor.

Armored Explains It All! ~ Part 3:

Well, before I explain it all, lemme go ahead and say that Naqel is approved.

BardTheFifthLightWarrior is approved, but watch out for Ground types. Three of your Pokémon share that weakness. Fortunately, your Manetric has that Ice Fang to save your skin.

And DanteFalcon is in.

Now on to the questions!

Q1: How long do the effects of buffs last? ~ Menarker

A1: "Battles, while freeform, will still be relatively separated. Buffs and debuffs will fall after each battle is decided. Additionally, if you happen to get the drop on your opponent, your Pokémon will buff itself once for every buff it has and debuff the target(s) for every debuff it has. The reverse is possible as well."

Q2: Geminex says a lot of stuff. ~ Geminex

A2: "I definitely see where you're coming from, and, since nobody has set up a Slayer profile yet, why don't we just do that?"

"Okay, here's the changes: all Slayers have been granted a free sidearm. A simple handgun. Other weapons you mentioned or could mention are now available, but you will need to sacrifice room for the weapons already listed to use them. It should be simple enough that I won't have to create a list. Basically, guns that can be used with one hand are Light weapons, weapons that aren't heavy but require two hands to establish firm control, like assault rifles and heavy machineguns, will be Medium weapons. Everything that requires some strength just to wield, like a rocket launcher or anti-air missile rack, will be Heavy weapons. In the story, just tell where you're aiming and I'll see if you get that lucky shot in the eyes. I hope we're all happy with this. I'd hate to hafta settle this over a Pokémon battle."

Q3: Is there any rule against using Smergle, the pokemon that can practically learn any move via sketching? ~ Menarker

A3: "Sure, that'll work. But just know that I'm resisting a strong urge to have you fight a Smergle before you learn any moves that way. Then what're you gonna do? Sketch his Sketch?"

Q4: I'm also assuming that Mind-Reader + Sheer Cold would probably be rejected. :3 ~ Menarker...urge to kill rising...

A4: "Wow, I didn't know about instant kill moves in Pokémon until I looked those moves up. Tell ya what, Menarker. If the target Pokémon is weak against Ice, then fine, you can instant kill that bastard in two turns."

(looks in her book)

"...And that's how I singlehandedly damned all Grass, Ground, Flying and Dragon types ever."

Q5: Would flying be allowed or would that be reserved for his paradigm shift if at all? ~ DanteFalcon

A5: "Man, this book (Official Pokémon Platinum Strategy Guide) is weird. Did you know that a pissant little flier like Zubat can use the HM Fly and a flightless bird like Dodrio can also learn it, but a Venomoth can't? Where's the justice in these games, people!? The goddamn Dodrio ain't even got wings for crying out friggin' loud! It's a freakin' three-headed ostrichy-flamingoey thing! Makes no effin' sense!"

...

"But I digress. Let's meet at the halfway point. A Pokébrid would have too heavy a body to use them effectively so let's just say you can glide. You can fly when you Paradigm Shift, however."

*Laughing* Oh, the way you eloquently phrase your responses always makes me laugh. ^^

Anyhow, I'm sorry about asking so many questions, but I had so much ideas in my head and I just wanted to get them off my chest. No need to kill me!
And while technically Sheer Cold works on all types of pokemon in game (It's unique for being the only Instant-Kill move that doesn't have an opposing immunity like Fissure's unable to effect flying or Horn Drill against Ghost) even what you listed sounds awesome. (Although I might not be using it...)

Anyhow, I'm making my bio...

EDIT: One more question that just came to my mind... are there any accomodations or special traits enabling the use of water pokemon in areas that don't exactly have an abundant source of water? Seakings lovers would be awfully sad!

Water Pokémon will swim through the air (like fish swim through the air in all RPGs these days) and we're going to pretend that makes sense somehow. If the Gamecube Pokémon games and Final Fantasy games can do it without it making sense and offer no reasons for it, I'm sure as hell going to! If you want an explanation, then what the hell're you doing in a fantasy world in the first place?

Name: Renny Tresserhorn
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Class: Breeder 1 (Trainer 6) / Pokebrid 1 / Slayer 1
Pokmon Registry:

Pokemon Leader 1: Togekiss (Serene Grace / Super Luck)

Pokemon Leader 2: Mollesk (Simple / Sturdy)

Pokemon 3: Shaymin (Nature Cure in Form1. Serene Grace in Form2.) Grass type normally and during night-time. Grass/Flying when triggered by Gracidea flower during daytime. Shifts back to Pure Grass during nighttime, triggered again or when Frozen.

Pokemon 4: Swampert (Defiant) *Veteran Status*

Pokemon 5: Magnezone (Analytic)

Pokemon 6: Umbreon (Synchronize)

Appearance: Charmingly cute/handsome boy with short vaguely messy blond hair. About half a foot shorter than most of his peers. His slim small cute appearance occasionally make him look more like a child than a young adult.

Backstory / Personality: Renny's childhood has been happily marked with a well-off family with a very affectionate father and mother. This affection being genetically inherent to their good nature and the way their culture had raised them. For every simple greeting of "Good Morning" or "Good Night", there was an inherent understanding that a kiss on both cheeks and the forehead was customary. Hugs frequents and playtime galores. His family delighted in such an wholesome child and frequently took him on trips to far off places.

This upbringing left him an innocent and uplifting child... with one drawback. Having not interacted with others his age, his over-exhuberance at greeting new companions bordered strongly on "personal space invader" and intolerably loud, making getting new companions a difficult task. His parents noticed this trait a little late, but ultimately came up with a solution. On the mother's latest trip, she brought back a pokemon egg, promising it to the lad if he was able to make it hatch and raise it properly. They gambled that learning how to control his overly friendly impulses around infants and the young would help build awareness. For a while, it seemed to work, for the lad was unseemingly calm and delicate with the egg, holding it daintly and with reverent care. But when that egg hatched into a healthy Togepi, the newborn pokemon imprinted Renny and instantly took a liking to him, with Renny's excessive hugs and kisses only making the baby fonder and reinforcing the habit.

When the lad grew old enough to journey for a pokemon adventure, he applied for the pokemon trainer application, and easily exceled due to experience raising the Togepi and due to the many trips with his mother and father. Once he "offically" got a Mudkip as his "Starter Pokemon", he race back to snag his companion to go with him on his journey. Along the way, he entered a pokemon gym, but saw that the leader was already engrossed in a match. The challenger was a trainer who strove only for victory at all cost and it showed. His pokemon were showing signs of weariness and their expressions hollowed out. Renny would have protested, but he needn't have. The match ended abruptly and the gym leader announced that under the full sanctions and authority of the Pokemon League, the trainer's license was offically revoked. Renny was shocked by this rarely enforced rule, but in his soul he agreed deep down that trainers were called to uphold a standard, that a captured pokemon would still be entitled to the rights and care that living creatures needed. Years passed and Renny applied for a job. His mission: to search out trainers both legal and criminal who violate the terms of the trainer license and end their selfish reign over the pokemon which they capture, while he himself promotes the ideal healthy relationship between pokemon and humans.

(Somewhat got the idea from the Cinnabar episode in the pokemon anime. Ash was warned/praised by Blaine for forfeiting his gym match in the nick of time when his pokemon were at risk of dying. The issue that if he had persisted in trying to fight for the Fire badge when his pokemon's life were in danger, his license as a pokemon trainer would have been revoked.)

Armor: Normal, Ghost, Water, Electric. (Immunity to death, sleep and paralysis effects)
Carried Items: 2 Rage Rocket, 4 Max Revive.

Move List: All moves available to Gallade and his pre-evolutions Ralts and Kirlia.
Also has access to the following: Flame Charge, Foresight, Miracle Eye, Soul Sabres and Spirit Strike.

Soul Sabres: (ICT move) Psychic Type, Melee. Foes hit by this move are treated as if Renny ignores their effect immunities ala via Mold Breaker (although it can bypass such immunities from other sources like items) for the rest of the turn. (Most obvious purpose is to bypass crit immunity in foes with abilities like Battle/Shell Armor or Flying armor.)

Spirit Strike: (ICT move) Psychic Type, Melee. Attack is done with PATK modifier but acts as if it was Sp.ATK in terms for resistance against physical attacks and defense stats. Further attacks on the target by Renny on the same turn may hit either defense.

A. Bishoujo: Just to be sure, can we pokébrids can take advantage of the pokémon's innate ability? Synchronize for Espeon, and so on?

Gonna be incredibly distrustful of Bard's character... Not only does she sound like a lovely person, but she uses four canine pokemon, two of which are dark-types. Hate those things!

Name: Javier Sonnen
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Class: Pokébrid
Pokémon Registry: Espeon
Appearance: The most prominent feature of the hybridization process is either the fine coat of lavender fur or the rather large feline ears. Less noticible, but no less odd, are the pupiless eyes with white irises and purple scleras, and the red gem set in his forehead. Oh, and the forked tail. Can't forget that.

Backstory / Personality: Espeon... His pokémon partner since childhood, who he'd known since Espeon had been an Eevee, was dead. It was a criminal organization that had done the deed, and for no apparent reason, either. He vowed vengance, and the organization is long gone. That doesn't mean anything to him, though. All of them are the same to him, and he will take them down one by one. He doesn't use other pokémon, seeing such an action as an afront to Espeon's memory. Instead, he has taken the DNA of his fallen partner in order to complete his mission, allowing, in his mind, his Espeon some form of the revenge, too.

Pre-Post Edit: And now there's an Umbreon. Perfect. :(

Whatever happened to Kingdra?

If "all happy" means me, then, yes, I am happy, verily so.

One more question, though: Is attacking trainers directly a valid strategy? I'm going to assume it's not, so have you thought about ways to prevent it? Because when you're looking at a team of 4 supernatural monsters capable of wiping out city blocks with cataclysmic attacks, commanded by a weak, fleshy bag of watery protein, there's really not much of a question as to which is the weakest link, particularly if there's guys with guns about.

Profile time!

Name: Ray Green
Alias: Impact
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Class: Slayer
Pokémon Registry:-
Appearance: Plain. Unimpressive. A hair over 6 feet tall, with fairly short brown hair, brown eyes and mildly tanned skin. His features are fairly unremarkable, and he usually dresses in jeans and a shirt. He's lean, but not particularly muscular and his expression is usually neutral, bordering on disinterested. This usually changes when there's pokemon in the room, at which point his stance becomes tense, his eyes restless, scanning the area and his expression seemingly torn between caution and anger. His facial features become far more prominent, also.

Backstory / Personality:

Honmyr Central Military command, Special Forces division, Anti-crime branch
Psychological department
Profile & Evaluation of candidate "Ray Green".
This document is intended for authorized personnel ONLY. Breach of privacy may lead to punishments up to an including imprisonment for an indefinite term.

Summary:
Ray Green is a pensive, solitary individual. He originates from the town of Raindale, one of the first areas to which the Pokemafia syndicates expanded. In the time before federal or regional authorities could effectively act, the town became not only entirely oppressed by mafiosi and enforcers, but also the scene of vicious pokemon battles between various syndicates fighting for control of the new territory. This was the first time syndicates used the tactics of "pokemon monopoly", using snaggers, blackmail or simple murder to make sure all pokemon were under their own control, leaving citizens defenseless. As such, the primary casualties from these battles were civillians, which had no way to escape or defend themselves. At 14, after the war for control over the town and outlying area had gone on for 3 years, his mother was killed during an aerial battle between Pidgeot and Dragonite, which ended with Dragonite being Body-Slammed and crashing into a crowded neighborhood, onto the Green residence. Friends and school reports describe a drastic change of behavior that occurred shortly after the death. Having previously been a simple child, trying to cope with the chaos and get on with life, he now became increasingly withdrawn. While he did not sever social connections entirely, he ceased any efforts to actively pursue them, instead focusing on something he only described as "projects". These projects are believed to have been research on the syndicates themselves, as well as on individual pokemon (their weaknesses, moves, common strategies) and on weapon technologies. This stage in his development lasted two years, until, several days after the anniversary of his mother's death, he disappeared from home, leaving at night, taking with him a car battery, several knives and other items for wilderness survival. In the morning after his departure, a non-registered trainer (likely a mob enforcer) was found dead with a cut throat, the pidgeot she had been about to fly off on next to her with an electrified noose around its neck. After this event he disappeared from observation for 5 years, likely travelling from city to city, sleeping and eating in pokemon centres. It is thought that he would occasionally save money to attend several terms' of university lectures, mostly on social sciences and pokemon biology, though if this was the case, he did not sign up under his own name.
Preliminary tests and evaluations show that, while still introverted, Green seems to have not retained the instability that would lead him to assassinate a mob enforcer. He appears to have significant dislike, and mistrust for pokemon, but a very good understanding of how to fight them (as was to be expected). He explains his silence with the words "I'm constantly planning the next battle, the next encounter. You know? What'd I do if that officer went rogue and sicked its Growlith on me. What if a Fearow came through the ceiling and tried to drill peck me. What're the most likely places for Mob bases in this city? How could I take those out? Where'd I get the help, resources? What needs to change to make this all end? Always planning. Stops me from thinking about other things, I suppose."
While he may have difficulties working with team members, it is likely that he would be excellent in the position (Slayer) for which he is applying.
See further report for more details.

Edit:
Because otherwise I'll apparently have some sort of revolt on my hands and that'd just be inconvenient.

Weapon 1: Weather Spire: Gives access to the "Weatherman" TA.
Weapon 2: yyy: Gives access to the "Dust Stream" TA
Weapon 3: Assault amplifier: Lets Impact attack with one of his standard weapons, and boosts the relevant attack stat by two stages. Attacking this way is more effective, but distracts him, costing him 2 tactions.
Weapon 4: Banshee Emitter: Gives access to the "Doom Howl" TA.

Armor 1: Survival Field Generator: Covers Impact and two allies to either side of him. Can be charged with up to 3 charges, at the cost of 1 taction per charge. Whenever an enemy attack would crit against a covered ally, the field uses one charge, and the crit is downgraded to a normal attack.
Armor 2: Variable Immunity Armor A: When RDPA is first deployed, this armor gives no immunity. Impact can initially pay 1 taction to have it grant immunity against a certain element, and from then on, another two tactions to change the immunity it provides. (E.g.: Impact goes initiates RDPA while in battle agains several fire tanks. He pays a taction to set the immunity to 'fire', to protect himself against their attacks. Once those are destroyed, they get reinforced by water tanks, so Impact pays 2 tactions to make himself immune to water instead.)
Armor 3: Variable Immunity Armor B: See above
Armor 4: Processing unit: Generates an extra taction per turn

---------------------

Impact's (preliminarily, I know, I know) Finalized Upgrade Sheet
Signature Break:
Cost: 1 Taction
Effect: Impact mentally assaults the target's aura, disrupting the target and preventing them from focusing enough to bring their strongest abilities to bear. One Sig-tech, Sync-tech, love-tech or Co-op technique (or anything else of that nature) cannot be used until the end of next turn (effect counts as a debuff).
Conditions: Can be used 2 times per turn at most, the same technique cannot be disabled twice per turn

Analyst:
Cost: Passive
Effect: In combat, Impact's especially aware of his surroundings and may draw conclusions that seem inexplicable, or even supernatural in their accuracy. Basically, in combat, when we get info about enemies or our situation, AB gives us a little extra. What is up to him, as long as it's useful.

Formation shift:
Cost: 2 Tactions
Effect: Impact coordinates rapid maneuvers to modify either an allied formation, or force the enemy to modify theirs. Select one member of a formation somewhere on the battlefield and replace this member somewhere else within the same formation.
Conditions: Use twice per turn at most. Foes can switch back in exchange for 10 rage during the turn after this was used.

Despecialize:
Cost: 3 Tactions
Effect: Select 1 enemy specialist. This specialist loses all 'priveleges' and counts as an ordinary unit for 2 turns. For the first turn only, this removes any protective effects on this specialist.
Conditions: Use once per turn only. Cannot be used on the same target twice in the space of 4 turns.
Example: Enemy medic is pissing us off. Use despecialize to take away his ability to use items.
Shock Troopers can only use one pokemon when despecialized, Snipers are attackable, Engineers cannot construct. And so on.

Fire at will:
Cost: 1 Taction to activate, plus up to 6 optional tactions
Effect: Impact helps coordinate the team's Destroyer to unleash a rain of destruction upon their hapless foes. For every two optional Tactions payed, the destroyer gains 100 aditional rage, for this turn only. Rage generated by this technique can raise the destroyer's gague above maximum.
Conditions: 6 optional tactions (working out to 300 rage max), can be used only every second turn

Deathly Calm:
Cost: 5 Tactions
Effect: Impact invades the minds of up to 3 foes, and bestows upon them a cold, deathly sense of calm and indifference. For one turn, they will lose rage whenever they would gain it while attacking, and rage generated from being attacked is nullified. Techniques or abilities that cost rage have their cost increased by 10.
When used on a pokemon, their trainer will lose rage for the pokemon's actions (but only for the affected pokemon's), and techniques used specifically by the pokemon (such as divide or focus) will have their cost increased by 10. When used on a trainer, the trainer will lose rage only for his own actions (if he's capable of actions), and will pay an increased rage cost for sigtechs, love-techs and any techinque or ability he participates in directly.
Conditions: Use once every two turns at most

Massive feedback:
Cost: 25 rage and 1 taction to activate, 1 taction per attack
Effect: Impact gathers his strength and responds to every enemy attack with a massive wave of Aura-shock. The enemies take no damage, but they're so shaken that the attack or weapon they last used is now disabled.
Conditions: Once ever two turns only.

Superanalysis
Cost: 40 rage to activate, 2 Tactions per target
Effect: Impact rapidly analyzes the condition and vulnerabilities of various foes and feeds that info to his allies. For the duration of next turn, all affected foes become extremely vulnerable to secondary attack effects such as status effects, debuffs, stat reductions, flinch, etc... Attack with these effects are 2 times as likely to successfully inflict them. If a target is immune to an effect, it becomes normally vulnerable under the effect of this ability. Foes also suffer -2 stages to defense and special defense for the duration of this ability.
Coniditions: 6 targets max, once every two turns only

Ability drain
Cost: 2 tactions
Effect: Select one enemy ability. This ability is nullified for two turns.
Conditions: 2 times per turn at most.

"Ultimate Warlord":
Effect: Gains an extra Taction per turn, and makes his tactions much harder to resist (enemies with immunity now just have a 50% chance to resist his TAs). Also gains ability to switch to the 'tactician' position. As 'tactician', the same limiations that would apply to snipers apply to him (meaning that FOW or the weather limit the degree to which he can affect the battle), and he gains no actions other than tactical actions, but he gets an extra taction per turn and his tactions become even harder to resist (50% chance drops down to 33%). Additionally, he can designate one ally to 'Cover Him'. As long as this ally is in-combat, Impact gains the defensive properties of a Sniper, reverting back to normal vulnerability once the Ally in question leaves combat for any reason. Impact can switch Covering Allies at the cost of 3 tactions.

Switching between 'active combatant' and 'tactician' costs him half his tactions for the turn, rounded up, he begins battles in 'combatant' mode. While the switch to tactician may be impossible during very hectic, close-in fighting, it will be available even in situations where Snipers and Destroyers aren't present.

Weatherman:
Cost: 2 tactions per change
Effect: Impact channels power through the RPDA to change the weather. He can remove and add different weather effects at will.

Dust Stream:
Cost: 5 tactions:
Effect: Impact eliminates FOW on the enemy side by 30 and increases FOW on the allied side by as much.

"Haunting"
Cost: 6 tactions initially, 2 per turn afterwards
Effect: Impact pierces the target's mental defenses, to strike directly at its aura and mind. Instead of just attacking, however, he does something more subtle. He leaves a fragment of his mind in the foe's, then withdraws. This fragment disrupts the foe, haunts them, causes them to become utterly exhausted. It cannot be dispelled. When the foe in question faints or dies, Impact partakes in its agony and rage, gaining half of what the foe had left. The fragment then jumps to a random adjacent foe, to do the same to it, unless Impact recalls it, at the cost of another 6 tactions. Doesn't affect pokemon.
Conditions: Can use only once per battle.

Doom Howl:
Cost: 4 Tactions
Effect: Deals no direct morale damage. However, enemies become subtly, but powerfully unsettled by the unearthly sounds of this device, and become 1.5 times more vulnerable to negative morale effects for three turns.

Pre-Post Edit: And now there's an Umbreon. Perfect. :(

Whatever happened to Kingdra?

Well, my mind has switched pokemon around so many times due to changing aspirations, research of move pool and stats, and other factors. My original idea was Electrode, Butterfree and Snorlax. Then I started considering Kangkaskhan, Blissey, Genger, Kingdra among others.

Armored Explains It All! ~ Part 4: Guest Starring the Kimonos!

Kirie: "Awww yeah, bitches! Kirie's in da hizzouuuuuuuse! After god knows how long living in RPG obscurity, the Kimonos are back!"
Armored: "Before we get started, I'm going to announce that Menarker, Wizardcat, and Geminex are hereby enlisted."
Takano: "That makes six, a decent enough squad to go ahead and get started soon."
Armored: "Indeed it does. I'll start soon, everyone, don't worry."
Chizuru: "By the way, why do we call ourselves the Kimonos?"
Rio: "Why not? We're wearing kimonos, aren't we?"
Chizuru: "Actually, these are mini-yukatas. Kimonos would cover much more leg than these do."
Kiyomi: "And grant much less accidental panty shots."
Rio: "Those were accidents?"
Tsubasa: "Enough, you all. We've got a job to do here. Mika, go ahead and read the first one for us, please."
Kirie: "Always the workaholic."

Mika: "The first question is, ahem, 'Just to be sure, can we Pokébrids take advantage of the pokémon's innate ability? Synchronize for Espeon, and so on?' by Wizardcat."

Armored: "Yes, of course you can."
Tsubasa: "Then onto the next question."
Kirie: "Wait, what!? That's it? C'mon, we're guest starring here! There's gotta be more to these questions."
Takano: "It's a yes or no question, Kirie. Seriously, how much discussion can we get out of a yes or no question?"
Kirie: "Ugh, fine. There are more questions, right?"

Takano: "I'll read the next one. It says-"
Kirie: "Asks."
Takano: "Ahem...asks 'And now there's an Umbreon. Perfect.' Also by Wizardcat."

Mika: "That's technically not a question. In fact, it isn't exactly demanding an answer of any kind."
Kirie: "Yeah, what gives? I thought I was so smart when I tried to correct Takano, too."
Armored: "I made this a question because I'm going to break Wizardcat's poor little heart by exposing the first mission."
Tsubasa: "That could be helpful, actually. The players may want a heads up so they can prepare for it in advance. So what's the first mission?"
Rio: "The script reads that they'll halt a bank robbery in progress and the enemy is this group of professional thieves called the Evil Eevee Eight."
Kirie: "Wow, Rio can actually read."
Rio: "Hey, I may be a natural blonde but I'm not a stereotypical blonde."
Mika: "Then how're you a genuine Japanese woman?"
Rio: "I'm a genuine anime Japanese woman."
Mika: "What's the difference?"
Rio: "A Japanese woman is just a Japanese woman. But an anime Japanese woman can have ridiculous curves and any color of hair she wants and still be a purebred Japanese."
Mika: "...And now my whole universe is fucked."
Armored: "At any rate, the leader of that group has an Eevee, while the other seven will have one of its evolved forms. And they'll all use Pokémon of that same type."
Mika: "So the Eevee trainer will have five other Normal types and the Leafeon trainer will have five other Grass types and the Vaporeon trainer will have five other Water types and so on and so forth."
Armored: "There will also be some Rogue Pokémon thrown in to shake things up."
Tsubasa: "Rogue Pokémon? What're those?"
Armored: "They're masterless Pokémon that offer their strength to the highest bidder. Basically, they're Pokémon mercenaries."
Rio: "Pokémercs! Gotta hire 'em all!"
Kiyomi: "Powerful independant Pokémon, eh? That could certainly present a threat."
Armored: "Anyways, I think I've revealed enough for now. C'mon, whip out the next question."

Chizuru: "This question comes from Geminex. It reads, 'Is attacking trainers directly a valid strategy?'"

Kirie: "Geminex fights dirty. I like it."
Rio: "Me, too. Can't wait to see him in the story."
Kiyomi: (jealous stare)
Rio: "I'm jus' messin', Kiyomi. You know I'll always be your girl!"
Kiyomi: "Sometimes I wonder."
Armored: "Attacking trainers intentionally could result in a court martial and jail time. After all, they themselves are defenseless. His or her Pokémon are your targets. Besides, killing a trainer won't exactly rid you of the threat his or her Pokémon represent. They'll just go Rogue and try to avenge their slain master."
Kirie: "That could lead to an exciting fight. You know, kill the trainer and then have a helluva lotta fun facing all of his Pokémon at once instead of one or two at a time."
Armored: "An exception is made to this rule should the trainer try to have his Pokémon kill innocents. Then you'd better damn well kill them, after removing the threat of their Pokémon, of course."
Tsubasa: "Are there anymore questions? No? Then that concludes Armored Explains It All! ~ Part 4, guest starring the sexiest strike force of skantily clad and highly lethal female ninjas ever, the Kimonos."
Chizuru: "We should probably change our group name to the Mini-Yukatas."
Takano: "But we've been named the Kimonos for much too long. I doubt they'll ever get used to that change."

-----

Armored: "Oh, hey! I just remembered something! DanteFalcon posted this very early in the thread. It says, 'Also, 5 bucks says no one plays a Magikarp Pokebrid.' Well, allow me to present this video of a (turn your speakers low as it is kinda loud) A Magikarp Defeating Champion Cynthia In Pokémon Platinum (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryC0hmZOEfc). All I could say was 'daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.'"

"And again with (still pretty loud) That Same Magikarp Defeating Red in Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x66rjlZzr2w)

"Oh, and watch this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNVZU4aHhbI&feature=related), too. I think this is what Geminex wants. Go 'head, fuck with that Pikachu, I dare ya!"

Wizardcat stole my story from my mind before I wrote it down! Seriously though, that was what I was thinking about doing except with an Alakazam.

How would a bird Pokebrid work? Although I am tempted to do a Magikarp hybrid just because. I'll have mine up later today if such a spot is still available. And for Pokebrids, would there be an opportunity to evolve?

Appearance: Pierce is white, 6'0'', with short spiky brown hair and blue eyes. He has a long scar over his right eye, which he got from Skarmory while he was trying to catch it. He wears a black leather jacket over a white t-shirt, torn jeans, and sneakers. He wears a belt where he keeps his pokeballs, and he keeps a knife hidden in his jacket.
Backstory: Pierce worked the top criminal organization in Wintervale City, acquiring things the bosses wanted through illegal and violent means. He didn’t enjoy it, but it paid the bills, and he never killed anyone. Plus he got some good fights every now and then. And since he worked for the guys in charge, he didn’t have to worry about getting in trouble with criminals since, well, he was a criminal. Eventually, he grew disillusioned with his profession and secretly looked for crime-fighting organizations to work with. He eventually found one that offered better pay, better battles, and put him on the good side of the law.
Personality: Pierce is the quiet guy. He just stays silent and waits for things to happen. He enjoys battling, perhaps a little too much.

Name: Adamantitar

Ability: Typhon

Type: Rock/Dark

Stats

HP: 110
Attack: 145
Defense: 130
Special Attack: 95
Special Defense: 100
Speed: 60
Total: 640

Appearance: Height: 7'05"; Weight: 534.4 lbs
Tyranitar, bigger and badder. Aside from the increase in size, Adamantitar's hide becomes a darker shade of green and absorbs sand to grown tougher, becoming seemingly indestructible. It's tail grows longer and the spikes at the tip, as well as the ones running down it's back, sharpen. The three claws on it's hands and feet sharpen as well. The rhombus on it's chest turns from blue to dark red. The triangular holes on it's chest, knees and back are joined by two on each of it's arms.

Personality: Adamantitars in general would for the most part stay secluded. They will fight if challenged, and are unstoppable if enraged. One would usually gather it's own pack of Tyranitars, Pupitars and Larvitars to rule. They are quite protective of their herd.

Of course, that would be their behavior if Adamantitar were widespread. Since Pierce's Adamantitar is the first in history, that doesn't actually happen. Pierce's Adamantitar is actually quite docile, as long as it's not enraged. Adamantitar has become far less reckless since it's Tyranitar days, actually stopping to consider a situation before charging in. It is now downright friendly, even to people that aren't Pierce.

HMs: Same as Tyranitar's.

Typhon (Ability)
Adamantitar is bad motherfucker that eats mountains for breakfast and routinely makes Thunder Gods shit in their pants. Typhon functions exactly like Sand Stream, with the added bonus that Adamantistorm also causes Rock-type pokemon's Defense to increase by 50%.

[Held Item] Terra Hammer (Pierce's Adamantitar only): Adamantitar's Sandstorm does double damage to enemies and doesn't damage allies. Also allows ally Snipers to shoot through the Sandstorm without any accuracy penalty.

Co-op Technique (Tyranitar & Blaziken)
Hellfire: Tyranitar launches three enemies into the sky with a powerful Earthquake, while Blaziken leaps into the air and delivers a powerful aerial beatdown to the enemies. Then Tyranitar pummels them with large rocks using Stone Edge, and Blaziken fires a powerful Overheat until finally the unlucky targets come crashing to the ground in a large fireball.
Effect: Critical damage dealt to three targets. 50% chance to inflict burn status on targets, 50% chance to inflict Internal Bleeding.
Consumes 100/100 Rage Points.

Pokemon Co-Op (Dialga) NOT AVAILABLE
Time Distortion: Dialga makes Time go all FUBAR for five turns.
Effect: Enemy Paradigm Shifts last for 1 turn, ally Paradigm Shifts are unaffected. If an enemy uses a move that lasts a set number of turns (buff move, Signature Technique, Synchronization Technique), the duration is halved. Allies no longer have cooldown or charge-up periods for moves. Enemy cooldown and charge-up periods are doubled. Enemy status effects apply twice in one turn. Ally status effects apply every two turns. Time Distortion lasts for five turns.
Consumes 70/100 Rage Points.

Signature Sequence (Chizuru)
Solidarity Counter: Chizuru taunts six enemies (regardless of type) and Pierce skillfully parries all of their attakcs. Then she and Pierce counterattack.
Effect: Six adjacent enemies' turns nullified. Small damage dealt to enemies.
Consumes 50/100 Rage Points.

Signature Sequence (Pierce and Shizuka)
Apple Season: Apples rain from the sky in front of three unsuspecting enemies and Pierce and Shizuka split them all in a flurry of strikes and impressive acrobatics, damaging the targets.
Effect: Severe damage dealt to three enemies, 50% chance of Internal Bleeding, 50% chance of Instant Death.
Consumes 80/100 Rage Points.

AB said he might come up with some more accessories that work like pokemon abilities, but these are going to be the accessories available to Pierce. Basically, I shaved off some of them to make room for more cool shit in this upgrade.

-----
Demon Half (Level 1)

2. Focus Ray - 200 Power, 100% Accuracy, Almighty Type, Special Attribute. The long range version of Aura Blade. Costs 25 Rage.

-----
Demon Half (Level 2)

- Armor Guardian Globe (Ruin type Defense) is available.

-----
Pokemon Breeder (Level 1)

- 2nd custom move availability.
- Pierce gains 15 points in both Defense and Special Defense.
- PC Slayers can now equip two small, two medium, and two large weapons in addition to the Normal type assault rifle that is always on hand.

-----
Slayer (Level 4)

- The skill Inspiration is improved. Whichever pokemon is with Pierce in the field gains 10 points in all stats. This stacks with the previous upgrade.
- All Slayers also gain Armor Affinity. What this means is that if a weapon they use deals the same type of damage as a piece of armor they have equipped protects against, they get a STAB modifier. This STAB modifier is double as opposed the 1.5 used by Trainers and Snaggers.

-----
Demon Half (Level 3)

- Pierce gains 10 points in all stats.
- Pierce gains Shock Trooper Configuration (see conditional upgrades).
- One of Pierce's leader pokemon gains a second ability.

-----
Demon Half (Level 4)

- Pierce gains 15 points in both Defense and Special Defense.
- When using the skill Cover, the damage Pierce recieves is reduced by 20%.
- Rage Point cost for all skills is decreased by 5.

-----
Demon Half (Level 5)

- Pierce gains 15 points in all stats.
- The skill Inspiration is improved. Whichever pokemon is with Pierce in the field gains 10 points in all stats. This stacks with the previous upgrades. The bonus applies to both pokemon out in the field with Pierce.
- Pierce's other leader pokemon gains a second ability.

Conditional Upgrades:

1) At Trainer 5 and Slayer 2, Pierce and his pokemon gain Defiance, whenever one reaches 1/3 of their HP, that one's damage increases by 25%. This boost is negated when their HP rises above 1/3.

2) At Breeder 1 and Slayer 3, Pierce gains Shock Trooper Configuration, allowing him to fight alongside his pokemon. Pierce and both his pokemon can take action on the same turn with no penalty.

Pierce's stats:

HP: 100
Attack: 120
Defense: 80
Special Attack: 105
Special Defense: 75
Speed: 120

Total: 600

Combined Attack: Pick one of Pierce's pokemon from the field. That pokemon's attack move gains the same type as Pierce's other pokemon's primary type, but the power stays the same.

Okay, this one's crappily worded. Basically, say Tyranitar and Blaziken are out. Tyranitar uses Earthquake and Pierce uses Combined Attack. Tyranitar's Earthquake is now Ground/Fire, and the move's power stays the same.

1) The main attacker attack gets divided into two like Double Hit (dividing power in half respectively for each hit).
2) The first hit being the type of the move the attacking pokemon (Tyranitar in this case) uses. The second hit being the primary type of the second pokemon (Blaziken in this case). Thus, the first hit would be ground and the second one would be fire with your example.
3) The total base power is equal to the move that it is based on.
4) All bonuses such as STAB that apply to the first hit also apply to the second even if it wouldn't normally. Both hits use the attack or special attack stat of the main attacker. (Technically, Tyranitar is a rock/dark type so no STAB with your previous example.)

Five-Star Deluxe Special: Chizuru cooks up a meal for one of Pierce's pokemon, even if they aren't on the field. The pokemon recovers 20% of their maximum HP per turn until they recieve damage. Can only affect one target a time.

Mock: Pierce taunts one enemy. One enemy's attack is redirected at one of Pierce's pokemon. Multi-target attacks would be centered on Pierce's pokemon. The pokemon targetted does not take an action for the turn.

I know for some of you, it's a little late, but in the interest of helping you guys out (and for bragging rights), I submit this element type calculator that tells you the total number of weaknesses, resistances and immunities in your chosen group. Just input the elements of the pokemons you're using and there ya go. Keep in mind that some of these may be subject to change if the pokemon you're using has a move or ability that grants immunity or resistance or if a foe uses a move to remove your resistance, such as Foresight to make normal moves and fighting moves hit ghost types. I guess if you want to make any changes to your teams after you use this thing, it might not be too late.

http://www.psypokes.com/dex/typeanalysis.php

As an example, I'll use my pokemon team so you guys can follow along with the example if you're stuck.

1: Normal/Flying (Togekiss)
2: Water/Ground (Swampert)
3: Electric/Steel (Magnezone)
4: Dark/None (Umbreon only has one element)

After calculating this team, it told me that I got two pokemons with quad weakpoints (moves with both types weak against the same move type used), pointing at grass and ground. This would be Swampert and Magnezone respectively. Keeping that in mind, I note that water types learn ice type moves pretty easily. So in a pinch if I got no one else, I can use that as a counter. Similarly for Magnezone who can use Magnet Rise making him immune to Ground. So in essence, I got 2 quad weaknesses, one if I use Magnet Rise, but both I got measures to deal with.

For basic weakpoints, I got the following weakpoints... 1 Rock, 1 Ice, 1 Fire, 2 Fighting, 1 Electric. The most potentially worrisome aspect is that the rock, ice and electric one all belong to Togekiss, meaning some protective/defensive measure must be taken in account. Fortunate that he has a pretty good defence to help deal with 3 weak points. Magnezone got two weaknesses as well with fighting and fire. And lastly, Umbreon has a fighting weakpoint as well.

^^ Now for the bragging part.

For basic resists (pokemon who has one type resisting the offending move when it either has no other type or another type neutral to the same move), my team has 18 resists. To complicate the matter, 10 of those belong to Magnezone.

For quad resists (pokemon with 2 types which both the same move type), Magnezone has the team's two quad resists, flying and steel.

As for Immunities (a type that renders the offending move UTTERLY USELESS, even if its other type would be weak to it), each team member has at least one immunity. Togekiss whom had the most weaknesses also has the most immunities with immaculate protection against ground (due to flying) and ghost types (due to normal). Swampert ground type makes it immune to electric attacks even though water types normally die to them. Magnezone, not content with his 12 other resists, is also immune to poison due to the steel type. If he uses Magnet Rise, he also gains Ground immunity. Umbreon rounds this group up with a nifty protection against the wily psychic types thanks to the dark typing. So a total of 5 or 6 immunities.

So yeah... My pokemon team is a more defense specialized team complete with status afflictions to screw the foes over, so if the squad needs to buy time for a teammate to do some buffings or wear a foe down, I am your dude. ^.~

So yeah, even if you don't choose to change your pokemon, knowing your weakpoints can help determine what moves to teach your pokemon to cover their defences.

Oh, and as an interesting little bit of info, the only currently existing pokemon without a weakness at all is Sableye, the Ghost/Dark type (although he isn't that powerful and Foresight would basically turn him into a dark type with all their weakpoints.) EDIT: Apparently, Spiritomb is also a Ghost/Dark type too although Sableye was first.

QUESTION! In the event of multi battles, team-battles or free for all, can a pokemon defend someone, like if someone try to use flamethrower on my Magnezone or *Shudder* on me, can Swampert jump in and take the damage?

Name: Isaac Lucius

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Class: Pokebird

Pokémon Registry: Rhyperior with Solid Rock

Appearance: Due to gene recombination Isaac is a tall, large man who has stones protruding out of his skin. His skin has a dark grey hue to it and the stones are a dark redish orange. Horns grow out of his head and he has a hole on each hand. Isaac also now has a large tail that ends in a stone ball.

Backstory / Personality: Nothing of note happened to Isaac as a child but things started to get interesting when he became a trainer. On his 10th birthday he received a Rhyhorn that just hatched from his parents who were breeders. At first the Rhyhorn was difficult to control and cause a lot of trouble for Isaac but as time went on it grew to trust Isaac.

With a powerful Pokémon like Rhyhorn with him Isaac was able to catch and train many other Pokémon. Through time and many battles that Rhyhorn became a Rhydon, and it was Isaac’s only mainstay Pokémon. In combat it was a monster in battle, able to take as well as it gave. After a few years (5 year) as a Pokémon trainer all 8 gym badges were collected, all that was left was to beat the elite four, but Isaac never got to that point.

On a trip back home Isaac’s parents surprised him with a poke farm of his own in which he could join the family business, and to his parents approval he decided to stay. Over the next few years his Pokémon became stronger and Rhydon became a Rhyperior when Isaac traded is father and then quickly traded back. Isaacs Rhyperior became the father to many Rhyhorn, and his farm became distinct because of the amount of Rhyhorn and Rhydon that live in it all originating from the same Rhyperior. But a good thing couldn’t last forever.

10 years after receiving the farm Rhyhorn started to disappear left and right, they were dimwitted and easily tricked into being captured by snaggers and just general pokethieves. This angered Isaac and his Rhyperior, pushing them to action. Together they tracked down each and every criminal administrating justice to each and every single one of them. This took 3 years, and after each and every one of Rhyperior’s offspring were found Isaac decided to let his farm go free into the wild as a herd, with Rhyperior as their leader. Isaac knew that Rhyperior would be able to handle the job well enough. He also knew what he had to do with is life now.

After living the life of a vigilante for 3 years Isaac decided to go official but not before recombining his genes with that of a Rhyperior (specifically his own one, using a sample that was given to him as a gift from his Rhyperior after telling him his plans.) He will now work under official jurisdiction, dispensing justice to the criminals of Honmyr.

EDIT-- Added my bio and alias.

I figured I might as well throw this up here before it's too late, despite it being a little incomplete. I dunno if I'll finish up my backstory by tonight or if it will have to wait for tomorrow. Also, I was originally gonna go as a Trainer, but my determination to only use pokemon from the original 151, as well as using pokemon that I personally liked, as well as ones that had moves that I liked turned out to be a little harder than I thought. Also I figure that being the only Snagger will mean I get the pick of the litter when it comes to stealing pokemon.

Oh and my pokemons' "Standard Move-set" is the moves they'll have unless I decide to change them around before a mission.

----------

Name: Mike Kenno
Alias: Dragon Thief (or DT for short)
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Class: Snagger

Pokémon Registry:
Dragonite
Ability: Inner Focus
Standard Move-set:
Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Hyper Beam, Thunder

Charizard
Ability: Blaze
Standard Move-set:
Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Heat Wave, Flare Blitz

Appearance: Mike stands at 5’10” with a lean body. His dark brown hair is cut short, almost buzzed but not quite. His eyes brown are slightly lighter than his hair, but not by much. His wardrobe usually consists of blue jeans and t-shirt, and possibly his tan jacket depending on the weather. His pokeballs containing Charizard and Dragonite are kept on his right hip, while his snagger balls are kept in a pouch on his left.

Backstory: Mike grew up as an orphan on the streets in a big city filled with crime. There was everything, from small gangs to big time mafias and everything in between. Him and a few other orphans managed to survive by pick pocketing and stealing whatever they could. When Mike was twelve years old he managed to steal an empty pokeball, and after a few days of searching the outskirts of the city he caught his own Dratini. Unfortunately one of the small pokemon gangs was watching him, and they made him an offer. Either he joined their gang or they took his Dratini and he’d be stuck scavenging for scraps again. Not left with much of a choice, Mike joined the gang and over the next few years he worked his way up the ranks.

When he was sixteen he had landed himself a nice job stealing other trainers’ pokemon and selling them off to wannabe trainers or other gang members. By this time his Dratini had evolved to a Dragonair, and he had managed to catch his own Charmander in the wild. He kept this up for two years before the local law enforcement cracked down on his gang and arrested nearly everyone involved. Many of the gang members were given their due punishment, while others were allowed to go free after giving information about other gangs. When they came to Mike, however, they gave him the choice between jail time, or a real job on the right side of the law. When he asked why they were offering him a job he was told “You’re skilled, you have good pokemon, and we know you aren’t like the rest of the kids who do this because they like it.” Mike took the job and after a year of mundane police work he was given a position on the Task Force that was “better suited for someone with your skills.”

Personality: Despite his history Mike tends to have a friendly disposition. He's determined to show that the person he was in the past is not the person he is today. He will occasionally seek to lighten the mood with a sarcastic comment or two, and he's always willing to share his thoughts when it comes to making a plan.

Armored: "Half of 'em won't post past the first thread, I damn near guarantee. Now let's get to the questions, Chizuru."
Chizuru: "Bishoujo-sama, I can't do this!"
Armored: "Y'know, it's this shyness of getting around a lot of people that makes it so damn difficult for you to achieve your dream of being happily married and raising a huge family."
Chizuru: "But that's-"
Armored: "Just fuckin' do it before I have Rio grope you."
Rio: "You think I'd wait for an order to grope her?"
Chizuru: "Okay, okay, I'll do it!"

Chizuru: "Ummm...gosh, let's see. The first one goes, 'How would a bird Pokebrid work?' by CABAL49. Ummm, Bishoujo-sama?"
Armored: "I assume he's talking about flying. Like when DanteFalcon asked, let's say you can glide as a Pokébrid and can fly when you Paradigm Shift. But you can use HMs like Fly to move about and attack. It'll just be kinda different, like jumping and gliding from rooftop to rooftop and kickjumping off a wall and then gliding into the enemy."
Chizuru: "So wings somehow turn people into ninjas?"
Armored: "...Yes, yes they do."

Chizuru: "CABAL49 also asks this. 'And for Pokebrids, would there be an opportunity to evolve?'"
Armored: "Nope."
Chizuru: "..."
Armored: "..."
Chizuru: "...So uhhh...would that be it for this question, Bishoujo-sama?"
Armored: "Yeah, next question."

Chizuru: "This one from Dauntasa says, 'Why does the Rifle do Fighting type damage?'"
Armored: "Because it fuckin' does."
Chizuru: "I think he wants a logical answer."
Armored: "He's not gonna fuckin' get one."
Chizuru: "But-"
Armored: "There are a lot of things that cannot be explained in the world of Pokémon, like how a spherical object you can hold in your hand can act as a vessel to contain a fantasy creature many times the trainer's own size. Or why capturing a Pokémon as such somehow brings it under the trainer's control. Considering all the impossibilities in Pokémon that exist now, I didn't think that a High Velocity Penetrator rifle dealing Fighting type damage would raise an eyebrow."
Chizuru: "It raised Dauntasa's."
Armored: "That's because Dauntasa hates me. Next question."

Chizuru: "Oh, I think this is the last one, thank goodness! This one says, 'In the event of multi battles, team-battles or free for all, can a pokemon defend someone, like if someone try to use flamethrower on my Magnezone or *Shudder* on me, can Swampert jump in and take the damage?'"
Armored: "Damn, who asked that?"
Chizuru: "Menarker."
Armored: "Big effin' surprise. I'm about to send a Sharpedo right up his-ah, anyways, an enemy will never attack a trainer directly. And no, you can't have one Pokémon protect the other. Trying to negate weaknesses, you crafty bastard? That's it, you are so getting Sharpedowned."
Chizuru: "That concludes Part 5 of this Q&A session. If you all would please excuse me, I need to stop Bishoujo-sama from killing her players before they can even get in a fight."
Armored: "Hmmmm...'Sharpedowned'. Totally writing that one down."

I got some hold items to request. Since they are held by the pokemon, it seems "logical" that they won't count against the total for our friendly supply NPC unless we remove it and have her hold it.

Bright Powder: Raises the holder's Evasion by 10%.

Metronome: Boosts power of moves used repeatedly. Each time a move is used consecutively, its power is boosted by 10%, increasing up to a maximum of 100%. Switching or using another move returns the move's power to normal.

(2) Leftovers: Restores 1/16 of the Pokémon's maximum HP (rounded down) each turn when held.

Also a question/request. I was thinking of hopefully maybe considering Focus Band or Focus Sash, which activates when a pokemon would hit 0 hitpoints by an attack and instead sets it to 1 hitpoint. However, both have extremely limiting requirements. One has only a 10% chance to work, and the other requires your pokemon using it to be at full health and yet be hit so hard that they would lose all their hitpoints in one attack (and it is consumed in the process and thus naturally can only be used once a battle, assuming one had extras to use for future battles). Is there any chance of something to that effect but not nearly as drastic? If not, that's alright, but I figured it would be a neat/useful tool for when/if shit hit the fan.

Otherwise, just a few max revives and Full Restores sound useful.

That... Kimono girls... what?
Is there some sort of history behind this interesting band of... individuals? And can it be explained in musical form?

Other than that, I'm pretty much ready. Juuust a few more questions.

How many pokemon will trainers and snaggers have in battle at any one time? I had assumed it'd be just one, but recent questions have confused me.

Also, would it be feasible for Slayers to have some weapons that decrease enemy stats? Like, say, a shotgun that blinds enemies with flash, or a sonic projector that has the same effect as screech. Just a thought.

Also, there's an awfully high amount of (former) vigilantes on this team. Naquel, Wizardcat, myself, Rapter...
If we end up calling our team "Watchmen", dibs on Rorschach.

Pokémon battles will be two-on-two...uhhh...usually. But considering the size of the group initially, battles may have to be modified. God knows how many Pokémon I'm going to have to throw out all at once to match how many you guys will.

Items are fine, weapons with special shit're fine, it's all fine, fine, fine, fine! Geez! I hate you guys! Question-asking bastards, I should transform you all into Ludicolo and make money of your coordinated but still unimpressive performances! Now I'm going to create the profile for my NPC that'll be tagging along and then I'm going to get started on the RPG thread. Closeups ain't closed and neither are the Q&As but so help me, I'll have Kirie with her Fire Saber ready to flash fry you in your own internal juices.

Name: Rachel McConnelly
Alias: Princess
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Class: Pokébrid (Support NPC)
Pokémon Registry: Pikachu
Appearance: Wears a dark grey tanktop, green jean shorts, a large set of headphones that are probably constantly beaming dance music directly into her head, and black sneakers. Pikachu ears jut out of her wealth of red hair. There are Pikachu stripes on her arms, legs, and back and the rest of her skin has a yellowish hue. She has electrical pouches in her cheeks that resemble blush stickers (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BlushSticker). A Pikachu's tail pokes out of her jeans from behind. She's a pretty enough girl with a fit build and will almost always have a Pocky stick in her mouth.
Backstory / Personality: Rachel comes from a well-to-do family and was raised with warmth and love. She did pretty well for herself in school, and even to this day, she expresses a shiny and carefree attitude even in the chaos of battle. Her parents allowed her to join the force (I never did give it a name, did I?) under the condition that she would give it her all. Rachel became a Pikachu Pokébrid mostly as a cosmetic choice (she thinks the Pikachu parts of her body make her even cuter) and while she can fight, she's not the best Pokébrid ever to see combat, and thus has been reduced to hauling items and providing backup.
As far as her personality goes, people often think she needs to take some kind of drug to regulate her energy. She's a bundle of energy and optimism and she has difficulty shutting the hell up. Oh well, her bright and cheery attitude does have an empowering effect on her friends.

Question: certain moves could be used to hit several pokemon at once, right?

For example, I get Tackle only hitting one pokemon, but what about Earthquake? Or Thunder?

Menarker
02-15-2010, 06:56 PM
Yeah, I got the same question but rather ask if we should be worried about hitting bystanders or causing property damage such as with earthquake or zapping hostages with Thunder, especially after a rain dance (which doesn't quite make sense since trainers never seem to get hurt from either side's Thunder during a rain dance).

Geminex
02-15-2010, 07:26 PM
I'm guessing earthquake would be pretty strongly localized, while thunder... even if we're applying anime physics, I'd assume that all the big attacks, (thunder, blizzard, fire blast, surf etc...) would involve quite a bit of collateral damage.

Yeah, let's put any further writing on hold for the time being until the former two have had their input, and the latter have had the final say over what to do.

I'm thinking that from now on, during briefings, if different individuals have different strategies, we should vote to decide what to do. That'll cut down the amount of discussion necessary.

Also, is Impact being too harsh? Like I said, I'm making him worse to begin with so he can get better later, but I don't want to overdo it.

Well the faster this moves the harder it will be for those who aren't checking in every ten minutes to catch up. I think that we've had enough rapid fire dialogue for today and we should just wait for WC, Daunt, and AB. Impact IS harsh, but I was fairly certain that you as the player meant no ill will. Just don't do something like eat babies or exhibit chronic backstabbing syndrome and I think it'll be ok.

Also, both plans are basically the same thing.

1: Assault front door keeping them occupied.

2: Rooftop assault to keep first group free from sniper support.

3: Diggers enter into reception area and assault there.

4: Front assault team rejoin with digger team after victory (if they win) to press the assault

5: Deal with safe people.

The only difference is what the roof-top people are doing after they finish with the roof. Do they

A: Join up with frontal team, perhaps as snipers for the good guys and thus join up with diggers.

B: Join up with diggers from the start, either assault the front group from behind or dealing with reception foes.

C: Assault rear alley for secure exit and make sure safe is not being blown up or melted from that side. After that, they enter the door and join the diggers on assaulting reception office but from the opposite side, forcing a double sided situation.

Additional complication: Digger team might have to fight a two sided battle because front door team might send their spare pokemon or their rogue pokemon to attack them from behind.

Question! The mentioned scouters that you listed as equipment, are they going to be negatively effected by my Magnezone... who so happens to be 3 giant magnets fused together into one entity?

I guess using Earthquake is ok or you think that's going to cause property damage?

I realized that we all need to desginate our pokemon's gender (unless they are genderless), in regards to moves like attract.

Does Princess know that Renny would want Metronome and Bright Powder too? (I had the following items and stats listed in the thread before.)

Togekiss (Male) *Serene Grace* (Air Slash has 60% chance of flinching hit foe)
[Item: Metronome]
Air Slash/Aura Sphere
Substitute/Endeavor
Extreme Speed/Roost
HMs: Fly, Defog, Rock Smash, Flash

Magnezone (Genderless) *Magnet Pull*
[Item: Bright Powder]
Thunderbolt/Flash Cannon
Magnet Rise/Thunder Wave
HMs: Flash

Swampert (Male) *Torrent*
[Item: Chesto Berry]
Ice Beam/Outrage
Rest/Earth Power (Earthquake instead if that's not going to cause drastic environment damage)
HMs: Strength, Surf, Dive, Waterfall, Whirlpool, Rock Smash, Rock Climb

Umbreon (Female) *Synchronized*
[Item: Leftovers]
Confuse Ray/Protect
Mean Look/Toxic
HMs: Cut, Flash

Astral Harmony

The scouter could be effected that way, yes. Usually trainers stand far enough away from their deployed Pokémon to avoid that effect.

It's not just electric types, either. Depending on environmental temperature, deploying a fire or ice type Pokémon may cause a radical temperature change and fog up the lens temporarily. But you should be okay against all these problems by keeping your distance.

As for Earthquake, yeah it's gonna do some stuff. Because Pokémon are so powerful in Honmyr, a lot of places have been specially reinforced against all kinds of damage, but no place is indestructible.

Just got back from work. Lemme catch up. Also, here's some additional information that I just thought up and decided to immediately implement:

Certain environments and temperatures will have an affect on a Pokémon or Pokébrid's morale, thereby increasing or decreasing their fighting ability or affecting other things, like whether a Pokémon will follow orders or even leave the Pokéball to begin with.

For example, water and flying types won't exactly feel comfortable fighting in a thunderstorm (unless they're also electric types like Lanturn and Zapdos, respectively). Needless to say, this environment/morale connection is based on a Pokémon's individual weaknesses. Probably out of all Pokémon types, you'll want to be careful around Grass types. Weak against fire, weak against ice, and weak against flying type attacks (like wind), that type will need a rather tightly controlled environment. You can affect the environment by using those types of attacks. This is a good way to cripple Shannon the Leafeon trainer. Lowering a Pokémon's morale is a smart way to lower their all-around fighting ability even without using debuffs.

Where this applies immediately is inside that subway tunnel. Heatran is a powerful fire type, and chances are that the immediate area is a sauna by this point. Fire, Water, Rock and Dragon types should feel right at home but your Grass, Ice, Bug and Steel types will be a little nervous about venturing farther to say the least. Rayleen will be assisting the subway team by repeating some of what this post just explained and by offering her Slayer potential.

EDIT: And just to let everyone know how retarded I am, a correction. Dormond is a Mawile Pokébrid, not a Pokémon. Apologies for the stupidity on my behalf.

Geminex

Argh. None of the tunnel team seem to be online. Would it be feasible to continue for now, just write "After the tunnel team had left the van..." and then go on with the other part of the assault? They shouldn't have too much trouble catching up, since I'm guessing the battle out front will take quite a while.

Also, isn't the rule that pokebrids don't have weaknesses? As such, wouldn't the environment be ineffective against them?
This might also prompt whomever plays Isaac to change their character's ability.

Also also, for slayers, are heavy weapons more powerfull than medium weapons, more powerfull than light weapons?

And with that bit of information, I changed Blaziken's moves to give him Sunny Day.

I thought about giving Tyranitar Sandstorm for a while (assuming that would make electric types uncomfortable), but then I remembered he already has Sand Stream.

Menarker

^^ Well, if you use Sand Stream, don't worry about my pokemon. Being Steel and Ground type respectively, Magnezone and Swampert will be just fine. ^^

Pokebrids have no weakness when we paradigm shift. Otherwise we're just normal weakness/resistances. Also I totally call Shannon. She'll be at a major disadvantage against Matthias.

In other news. I felt the need to jump on the bandwagon and make fun of Renny.

Right well here's my pokemon layout for this mission. Now time to snag me a Heatran.

Dragonite (Female)
Item: Expert Belt
Moves: Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Hyper Beam, Thunder
HMs: Fly, Surf, Strength, Defog, Whirlpool, Rock Smash, Waterfall

Charizard (Male)
Item: Bright Powder
Moves: Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Dragon Claw, Dig
HMs: Cut, Fly, Strength, Defog, Rock Smash

Oh and would HM moves like Surf and Waterfall just be the pokemon spitting out water in some way or another to create an attack?

Menarker
02-17-2010, 02:24 AM
Well, if the anime and Super Smash Brother Brawl is of any worth noting, waterfall and surf would be the pokemon spitting the water and then creating waves out of it, riding it like surfboards. (Piplup in SSBB did Surf while Pokemon Trainer's Squirtle did Waterfall). Similar with Whirlpool in that it can either be a vortex formed in a large body of water (like a maelstorm) or a funnel of water spinning like a water tornado.

At least that's how I think of it. Although mind you some pokemon that can learn surf or waterfall are not water type

Astral Harmony
02-17-2010, 02:30 AM
If a Pokémon (or brid) could use the water HMs even though they're not water types (or have any [other] water moves), then they still get those water HMs.

If I got it right, Pokébids can hold special items, right?

If so, my bone-sword is totally a Thick Club.

What is it with you and the innuendos, Naqel?

But yes, Pokébrids can have a hold item just like a Pokémon.

I am purposefully not holding an item!

It most certainly has nothing to do with me knowing Thief. Nope.

How would weather-changing moves like Sunny Day and Sandstorm work in this RP? Would they affect the entire city or just the area around the battle?

EDIT: Gah, I'm a stupid idiot. Ladder, not stairs damnit. Ladder.

... I just realized that I hadn't asked how do we deal with the opposing trainers once they are defeated.
Do they just "Blackout/Whiteout" after defeat like happens to the main characters?
Do we need to attack them and knock them out?
Do we get to take their pokeballs through some device that sends it to the SWAT team version of Bill's PC from the games?
Do we get tasers/rope bindings/hancuffs?

It would be silly to let one get a hold of a weapon or trigger the alarm or use Full Revive on their pokemon or just let them escape.

I'd imagine some of the more sadistic or practical people might interrogate them or use them as hostage of their own.

Those will just affect the area where the fighting is occuring.

Q2: ... I just realized that I hadn't asked how do we deal with the opposing trainers once they are defeated.

Aw c'mon now, the police aren't completely useless. They'll make the actual arrests...once you do all the really hard work and kick all the ass.

My post is slightly delayed because I'm uncertain about how to use the moves I got.

I know you said that AOE moves like earthquake and surf would only effect the battle that they are in, but would they also effect the team-mates fighting alongside you? It just occurred to me that surf (for example) in the recent game also hits your allied pokemon. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue for me as much (magnezone immune/resist most of swampert's moves), but if it also hits Pierce's pokemon as well, then it won't be a pretty sight. Or does it just hit my allied pokemon but leave Pierce's alone? Given how it would seem strange for Mamoswine to have earthquake if he couldn't use it by being partnered with an electric trainer.

I guess what I'm saying is that I'm wondering if the roof-top battle is dealt via two dual pokemon battle or one 4 vs 4 battle and if hit moves like surf that would hit all but the user would affect Pierce's pokemon too.

EDIT: Shouldn't Electrivire, Yamega and Blaziken have taken some damage from Tyranitar's Sandstorm (Due to its Sand-Stream ability)

Astral Harmony

My posts are done in parts. Each part is a battle in itself. Group attacks will affect everything in that battle. Fortunately or unfortunately, things happening in other battles won't spread. For example, the hailstorm at the main entrance isn't hitting the roof and the sandstorm which I forgot to take into account isn't troubling those at the main entrance.

I have the distinct impression AB is going nice on us for our first fight.

What with the Hyper Beam and the using of a grass move instead of an ice one. Wood Hammer will still hurt but since both bug and poison are resistant to grass.....

Dracorion
02-18-2010, 05:09 PM
Hell yeah, definitely. We're screwed for our next mission.

I mean, I'd totally forgotten about Sand Stream, and it's my pokemon. I have a feeling I'm going to have to start assuming that everything we face knows every move, ever, and obsess over how to prepare for it.

Or AB is simply mimicking the poor AI from earlier gens. It's entirely plausible :D

What? I'm allowed some leeway to be retarded. But the mission's just picking up. Things are about to get bad inside the bank. Real bad.

Geminex
02-19-2010, 01:24 AM
Yaaaay!

I'd say that the poke-egg hatches and we get to face something absurdly powerfull, but I have the feeling you're saving that for the follow-up mission. So I'll wait and see.

Oh, and there was an unanswered question that you appear to have overread.
For your convenience:
Also also, for slayers, are heavy weapons more powerfull than medium weapons, more powerfull than light weapons?
Oh, and how strong are slayer weapons in relation to pokemon attacks?

Astral Harmony
02-19-2010, 03:40 AM
All weapons are equal in power. These weapons promise a power level of 100.

And now almost everybody can fight the Heatran now. Too bad nearly everyone's distracted by enemy trainers and Rogue Pokémon.

And please be patient when I miss something like a question. That post I just made took around two hours, thirty minutes to make. I don't regret making this one bit, just help me when I overlook something that a blind Zubat could see.

Nah, it's fine. You write a lot. This is greatly appreciated. However, I am determined to make your job harder. Observe:

In the pokemon games a lot of the appeal in fighting endless battles was that you'd be slightly more powerful after fighting said battle. Could we incorporate said mechanism here? Progression in character's strength, be it through leveling up, fire support, new equipment? That sort of thing?

DanteFalcon
02-19-2010, 05:33 AM
I approve of that idea. I'm just not sure how you'd effectively improve Pokebrids or Snatchers (mainly Snatchers)

Geminex
02-19-2010, 05:53 AM
Perhaps snatchers could get improved balls? Like, your standard does damage and paralyzes. Maybe you could get balls that do different amounts of damage, different status effect. Maybe something that catches with a delay of, say, one turn.

Pokebrids... I'm not sure, actually. Perhaps they could get specialized items to carry into battle. Or the duration of their paradigm shift is just increased. Or they just get stats.

Same for trainers. Maybe their pokemon get stats, maybe an improved movepool. If AB was willing to go through ideas, maybe there could be custom TMs. There shouldn't be too much potential for over-poweredness, since AB controls what each attack does in battle.

And for slayers... weapons, I guess. Maybe stats as well, quicker actions, more accurate fire, stronger attacks. I also asked about weapons that'd have effects like screech and flash, but it's really more profitable using elemental weapons. Perhaps there could instead be items that'd have those secondary effects, and they'd fill up space in the slayer's inventory.

But anyway, just thoughts and suggestions.

Menarker
02-19-2010, 10:25 AM
Oh god... Now Pierce is using Sunny Day, making my Magnezone rather useless according to AB's morale rule. >_< God...

EDIT: It seems that there is a new rule that I didn't know about. That pokemon can use a move upon being summoned until of having to wait a turn like ingame. (Garus sending Jynx and using Perish Song.) Either that or all Jynx did was take Mamoswine's turn.

Dracorion
02-19-2010, 10:41 AM
Man, I am such a dick.

But I dunno, I don't think a little sun should affect Magnezone that much. Lower morale? Sure. Could hesitate, maybe even disobey orders? Okay. But I don't think it'd have to return to the pokeball unless they were, like, fighting in a volcano. Or if Heatran decided to jump on the roof.

Better to have a useless meatshield than none at all, ya know?

EDIT: Also, Mamoswine used Blizzard, remember?

Oh yeah, and should I take out another pokemon to even the odds? He'd have one and I'd have three?

Menarker
02-19-2010, 10:50 AM
Oh, missed that. But I can't send Umbreon because of that fighting move that Electrivre had (and Togekiss would be mostly useless in this situation). If you could switch to Skarmory or return your pokemon (except for Tyranitar who could use Protect), I could use Earth Power when Swampert finishes Outrage and hit all four of his pokemon for hard ground type damage... well, except that sooner or later, Swampert is going to be confused due to Outrage.

And better to return my precious meatshield and send it back at a better time than to have it faint and not be available at the most cruical moment.

EDIT: Anyhow, the best tactic we can do is to kill off all of Garus's pokemon first, so he can't summon anymore. Evananglee's pokemon would be all that's left and I could hit them all for heavy damage. Alternatively, if she feels ignored by that tactic, my character could "negotiate" that she and I take our battle seperate from you guys and thus get rid of all the "Either I accidently kill Pierce's pokemon or he kills my first" thing.

Dracorion
02-19-2010, 10:58 AM
Umbreon would be better than nothing. Tyranitar took two super effective moves and kept going. Umbreon can take a hit.

Also, you're gonna hate me for bringing this to your attention, but have you noticed what Magnezone's Magnet Pull does?

Menarker
02-19-2010, 11:00 AM
Yes, it keeps steel type pokemon from retreating except Magnezone, thus preventing them from switching out at the most cruical moment. Also, the reason why Tyranitar lasted so much was because sandstorm boosts the special defense of rock type pokemon by 50% (on top of being a psuedo legendary) which raised its Spec Def to 150ish, higher than Umbreon. (Of course, now that you got rid of Sandstorm, Tyranitar might eat dirt next round.)

Dracorion
02-19-2010, 11:04 AM
Oh, so it doesn't actually affect the pokemon that has it?

Anyway, hey, I could always edit out Blaziken using Sunny Day, and then we can edit these posts into a conversation about marshmallows before AB notices.

Menarker
02-19-2010, 11:06 AM
It doesn't effect the pokemon that uses it. ^^

Anyhow, we could do that. :3 Magnezone could use Flash Cannon on Jynx then, which is steel type move (which ice is weak against).

Also, I'm noticing that according to the bulbapedia, Stone Edge should be hitting your blaziken and my pokemon too... as well as Eva's pokemon.

EDIT: Overheat also hits all other pokemon (which would faint my Magnezone instead of just anguish). Deleted my post so I/we could think about this...

Dracorion
02-19-2010, 11:18 AM
I've got another turn before Outrage ends, so I had Blaziken use Overheat.

Actually, I think Stone Edge and Overheat are both single-target.

Menarker
02-19-2010, 11:20 AM
Well, you just KOed Magnezone then. >_> (Overheat effects all pokemon on field similar to Earthquake and Surf and Stone Edge.) Not trying to be anal or nit-picky, but it IS hard to build a good group team.

If only we could request AOE moves to have the option of single targetting. :3

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Overheat

On the right side of screen is some of the technical data of moves. One of them include "Target". Anything that is highlighted in red is afflicted by the move. If only the user is blue, then it hits all other pokemon. (I think only moves like Self-Destruct and Explosion are all red.)

Dracorion
02-19-2010, 11:25 AM
Huh. Apparently Fire Blast works like Stone Edge and Overheat and Surf and Earthquake too so I guess I downed your Magnezone two turns ago?

Yeah, I think we're the worst team so far.

Menarker
02-19-2010, 11:28 AM
oooooh, god... I thought Fire Blast was single target too...

Dracorion
02-19-2010, 11:31 AM
I think they already have that option. I mean, Ice beam, fucking Ice beam, also shows the same data as Overheat and Fire Blast and Stone Edge.

EDIT: So does Fire Fang, for that matter.

And Sky Uppercut.

Menarker
02-19-2010, 11:33 AM
Hold on, a moment. The color coding is different!

Moves that have the option of hitting any target of your choice is orangey, while moves that HIT ALL is BOLD RED. No wonder the confusion... (Compared Ice Beam with Explosion)

Yeah, Overheat and Fire Blast and Stone Edge should be fine then. ^^: Glad we got that worked out. (Surf is still hit all though... but I can use Earth Power. I wish I knew about this sooner.)

Dracorion
02-19-2010, 11:42 AM
So we've spent about a page's length determining that Fire Blast and Overheat and Stone Edge and, yes, Earth Power are all single-target. Problem is, so it Outrage. So you really should only be hitting one pokemon at once.

Sooo... How about the option of using single-target moves to hit multiple targets?

Menarker
02-19-2010, 11:49 AM
... *Totally embarressed* I wish I knew about this damn color coding sooner... I feel stupid...

I guess I should "Ret-con edit" so that Outrage focuses on Gliscor. The other pokemon are still in good shape (Electrivere), Fire Blast still did heavy damage on Yanmega in the first place, and Mamoswine still taken a beating (but probably not as much).

I'm so sorry... Guess that's what first missions are about. ^^; Getting used to the kinks.

Dracorion
02-19-2010, 11:55 AM
Should probably just wait for AB.

But yeah, we've established ourselves as the worst team.

EDIT: Hate to break it to you, but Bulbapedia says you can't recall the pokemon that uses Outrage until it's over. By my count, it's only been one turn.

You could keep him out and I'd recall Blaziken next turn.
