The Wolf Man - God Dammit somebody shoot that dog

I just got back from seeing The Wolf Man (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0780653/). It was an alright movie, pretty good action wise, but most of its horror elements come from really loud sound effects. It actually hurt to listen to some scenes because the volume was raised up to 11.

The transformation scene is also pretty nauseating, and I wouldn't suggest watching it for too long if your squeamish.

Other than some of those problems, and the occasional passing of the idiot ball, I think it was an OK film, if slightly ant-climactic at some points. Like the Werewolf fight in particular.

Anyways, what were any of your thoughts about the film?

Got free tickets for one of the previews. I doubt I would actually pay to see it.

Foreshadowing is not subtle. Examples

You know exactly who the wolfman is 10-20 minutes in

You know exactly who is going to save the wolfman when he appears.

You know exactly who is gonna die. I.e. someone says something along the lines of, that is not possible.

And that's just what I got from the movie between making out. Note: I make-out in movies when the movie isn't as interesting as the girl beside me. This one made me stop and pay attention to the movie just enough to get the basic story.
