Screw all your suggestions, we're nicknaming her Tictac and that's it.
...
Where was I? Oh, yes. I'll get on the post right after I talk about the Kimonos, because I love talking about the Kimonos. What'm I gonna talk about? Well, how about some official profiles, complete with their Signature Techniques. Chizuru's Signature Techniques not mentioned before will be immediately added and able to be commanded during battle.
Name: Shizuka Mizuno the Red Kimono
Weapon: Katana
Species: Demon
Backstory: Leader of the Kimonos and one of the most talented swordfighters in the netherworld she calls home. Shizuka takes it upon herself to right the wrongs wherever she finds them, even ones outside the netherworld. Some people might wish she would just butt out of affairs that are not her own, but when she can kick your ass without drawing her katana, nobody's willing to tell her this to her face.
Signature Techniques
Apple Slicer: Shizuka pulls a lovely apple out from a "hiding place" and lazily tosses it between herself and the target, then inflicts eight too-fast-to-see cuts that split the apple into eight and could do the same to her target. Severe damage is inflicted on the target, 50% chance of instant death, 100% chance of flinching.
Apple Splitter: Shizuka pulls a lovely apple out from a "hiding place" and lazily tosses it between herself and a central point of where she will strike, then splits the apple and severely damages all foes before her with a single cut. Great damage is dealt to all targets.
Applesauce: Like what happens when you shoot a foe up close with a shotgun in F.E.A.R., except it also happens to an apple. Certain instant death on the target, no matter who or what it is.
Name: Tsubasa Hirasaka the White Kimono
Weapon: Wires
Species: Demon
Backstory: Tsubasa is more or less Shizuka's aide. Despite the fact that Shizuka has often preached to Tsubasa about listening to her own heart, Tsubasa just doesn't seem to get it. Always calm and collected, Tsubasa is a great leader and a deadly assassin all rolled up in a form fitting white kimono. She wishes that she can Kirie could become better friends, but the latter ain't having it. Tsubasa is a workaholic to the max, always throwing herself at problems before one of the other Kimonos even realizes that a problem exists in the first place.
Signature Techniques
Wire Web: Hastily yet skillfully creates a protective web of cutting wires between her allies and the enemy. Enemies who attack with melee attacks will end up getting hurt and forfeiting their turn. Only certain attacks that cut will destroy the Wire Web. Special attacks and attacks that subvert the barrier (Like Dig and Fly) will successfully strike without penalty.
Wire Prison: Looks the target down, keeping them from fleeing or using moves of any kind. The prison is tight enough to prevent special moves, but certain moves that cut or subvert the barrier (see Wire Web) will render the prison useless.
Wicked Dance: Tsubasa kicks up the beats, but nobody's amused as her wires swing and sway and slice away at her foe. Severe damage is dealt to the target. 50% chance of instant death.
Name: Kirie the Green Kimono
Weapon: Heavy Blade constructed of shiftable metal
Species: Angel
Backstory: Kirie is solid proof that angels aren't always gentle, lovable beings of light and good. Arrogant, egotistical, homicidal and a bitch describe Kirie's finer points. She's a fierce warrioress (understatement of the century) in battle, and longs to be the strongest fighter ever, setting up obsessive rivalries with those superior in battle to herself. Currently her obsession is Tsubasa and Kirie usually never misses an opportunity to try her strength and luck again. Kirie really didn't change much when she discovered that she was an angel and not a half demon like most of the rest of the Kimonos. I guess she just doesn't care about that kind of thing. Just like she doesn't care about the fact that she's the only Kimono without a last name.
Signature Techniques
Weapon Shift: Kirie quickly and expertly changes her Heavy Blade into something else, from a small dagger to a three-bladed axe to even an assault rifle. Regardless of what she changes the weapon into, she displays a peerless proficiency in its use. Unlike most Signature Techniques, Kirie can use this technique many, many times with ease.
Arsenal Assault: A highly destructive flurry of assaults combined with Weapon Shift, Kirie unleashes all hell on random unworthy opponents, dealing random, but usually good damage to all enemy targets. Let it burn, Kirie. Let it burn.
Endless Waltz: Kirie focuses all of her attention on a single opponent, something that said opponent would never wish for. More like a modification of Tsubasa's Wicked Dance using Weapon Shift, Endless Waltz has pretty much the same effects.
Name: Chizuru Suzuki the Black Kimono
Weapon: Dual Tonfas
Species: Half Demon
Backstory: Is it just me, or did the netherworld get a little hotter since this bombshell hit town? Chizuru is incomparably the most beautiful woman in the netherworld. She's also a superb cook, loves to clean, and has a knack for gardening. She's also the most feminine with a love of roses, stuffed animals, poems, serenades, and romantic dates to beautiful places. She doesn't really like fighting, but admires the strength of Tsubasa and Kirie enough to press on regardless of the dangers. She desires to have a wonderful husband and a large family above all else.
Signature Techniques
Solidarity Guard: Chizuru chooses a Pokémon type (or in the case of Slayers, the type of attack they intend to do) and seductively taunts that type into attacking her. Then her evasive ability comes into play as she easily dodges the enemy's reckless attacks and administers ample punishment for their stupidity. These targets have essentially forfeited their turn and gained nothing from it.
Five Star Flash Feast Frenzy: A long name for Chizuru's amazing emergency cooking talents. Induces good healing and status effect negation in all allies. Also creates a small regenerative effect and renders all allies immune to negative status effects for a few rounds. Bon appetite!
Crippling Beatdown: Chizuru finally decides to go for the offensive, and does so with such precision that the enemy takes good damage and has all statistics reduced by two. A great way to reduce a powerful enemy to a trifling annoyance. Chizuru may not be far behind Tsubasa and Kirie in power, after all.
Name: Rio Ikage the Violet Kimono
Weapon: Twin Claws
Species: Half Demon
Backstory: Blonde and beautiful with unyielding strength, a rampant libido, and an iron stomach and liver that can take all the piping hot chili and ice cold alcohol that even full demons couldn't stomach, Rio seems like a hopeless case. But when it comes to fighting, her physical abilities cannot be overestimated. But despite the shameless flaunting of her beauty and her constantly chasing of guys (and other girls), somewhere deep down inside she truely loves Kiyomi. You just kinda hafta really look.
Signature Techniques
Drill Spike Driver: Rio kicks off the ground and, claws forward, drills into and usually right through her opponent. It creates a bloody mess, but Rio wouldn't have it any other way. Battles should be bloody, that's her motto. Serious damage is dealt to the target. 50% chance of instant death. 100% chance of flinching.
Dodge Brawl: Rio grabs the closest victim and, using her immense strength, literally turns the target into a spherical object, then turns that victim's allies into a pinball machine. If you've played Final Fantasy VIII, it's like when the Wendigo would grab the central character and do the same. Does random damage to at least three targets. The first target cannot act on that turn. They sorta hafta uncurl, y'know.
Berserker Mode: Rio mutates, becoming a four-armed terror more fearsome than those from Mortal Kombat. Using a combo of four oversized claws, Rio can deal unbelieveable damage to her foes for a few turns when her body overheats and she is forced to return to normal.
Name: Kiyomi Matsuraba the Blue Kimono
Weapon: Spear
Species: Half Demon
Backstory: Kiyomi is the mechanical genius of the Kimonos, and has constructed a large number of powerful mecha that use powerful Infernal Drives to power locomotion and weapons. Nobody, Rio included, knows exactly why Kiyomi fell in love with Rio, but she becomes violently jealous whenever Rio flirts with someone else. Kiyomi isn't much of a fighter compared to professional killers like Tsubasa and Kirie, but she gets by with her technical and mechanical smarts.
Signature Techniques
Spear Rain: Kiyomi rapidly and accurately lances the target multiple times, even launching them off the ground to continue the stinging assault. Severe damage is dealt to the target.
Mechanized Cavalry: Kiyomi calls in for support from one of her mechanized land units, a fast and lethal gear-shaped weapon called Geartooth. Geartooth grinds random foes while scattering their entrails further with grenades. Random damage to random targets, but it's usually pretty considerable.
Raging Raider: Kiyomi calls in for support from a powerful unmanned quadraped robot called Lobov. Lobov peppers all enemies with vulcan fire, blasts 'em with missiles, then throws it own body into the enemy formation and self-destructs. Talk about overkill.
Name: Takano Uchimura the Brown Kimono
Weapon: Longbow
Species: Half Demon
Backstory: Takano has only one goal in her unaging life. Absolute perfection. Every arrow must hit a vital point. Every platinum-blonde strand of hair on her head must be in place. Every wrinkle must be non-existent. Takano takes so much care of her own body and manners that it's a wonder she ever sees battle at all. Though if something is out of place and she cannot immediately fix it, she becomes one angry bitch and everybody should just leave her alone at that point.
Signature Techniques
Heatshot: A simple name for a simple technique. Takano puts an arrow solidly between the eyes, killing it instantly. Unfortunately, really strong opponents don't go down as easily, but still take serious damage from the effort.
Bloody Eclipse: Ever seen the movie 300? Takano can blot out the sun by herself. Deals great damage to all enemy targets.
Nightmare Song: Takano starts to sing. No good can come from this. Enemies occasionally flinch or attack themselves as though randomly hit with confusion. And yes, she can make blood run up the walls.
Name: Mika Mutsumi the Yellow Kimono
Weapon: Skateboard (yes, a skateboard)
Species: Half Demon
Backstory: A child prodigy in the making, folks. Mika's magical expertise is supreme and she spends an unhealthy amount of time studying magic. If she doesn't have her face burried in this or that grimoire, she's applying all that knowledge and showing that small frames can carry untold power as well. She's often reclusive, even during battle, although she isn't mean or anything. She just likes solitude. And candy. She fuckin' loves candy.
Signature Techniques
Tentacle Scourging: Mika gets a little too kinky and opens a gateway to a world one must never open a gateway to. The result is that Mika's enemies get beat the fuck up by countless tentacles belonging to a mercifully hidden apparition. Deals impressive damage to random targets.
Paradigm Break: Mika's not a Pokébrid, but this ability is truely mysterious to the same extent. Mika transforms incoming damage into healing magic. How in the hell? Mika'll never tell. Hey, that rhymes.
Super Switcheroo: Mika mentally dominates the target, making them fight for the other side. Mika can no longer take action until the domination ends. Under most circumstances, the enemy won't very easily attack the target Mika controls, given how they were probably friends 'n' stuff.
Name: Fujiko Kazusaki the Grey Kimono
Weapon: Spider Claws (shuriken during rare occasions when she can assume a humanoid form)
Species: Full Demon
Backstory: Fujiko was obsessed by the power she gained from the ritual that made her into a half demon. So she went further when told not to do so. Sucks to be what she's become now. Now as a mutant spider thing, Fujiko is obsessed with regaining her original beauty, which can be seen in reflections from mirrors and water and when midnight strikes until the sun rises. And damn, she is fine. Not as hot as Chizuru but still, damn. Fujiko is so desperate to return to her original form that she will even backstab the other Kimonos for a small chance of achieving her goal.
Signature Techniques
Reaping Frenzy: When Fujiko is in spider form, she is usually very pissed. Reaping Frenzy demonstrates this fairly well. A series of violent claw rakes literally shred her opponent to ribbons. Does critical damage to the target, if it doesn't kill it.
Cannibalize: Fujiko's demonic hunger sometimes goes out of control and she needs to feast on her enemy. She can only successfully cannibalize seriously damaged enemies. Doing so removes the threat of the target and heals Fujiko.
Storm of Stars: When Fujiko is human and has the dexterity she needs to wield her shuriken, she may decide to throw 'em all at once. Or try, anyways. Hundreds and hundreds of throwing stars slice and dice the enemy, dealing impressive damage to random targets.
Name: Nyoka the Orange Kimono
Weapon: Big Honkin' Laser Cannon (and when I say "big honkin'", I fucking mean it)
Species: Android (catgirl android, but android nonetheless)
Backstory: Built as a joint project between a few of the Kimonos, Kiyomi and Mika especially. Nyoka is hyper, cheerful, optimistic, and more or less bouncing off the walls energetic. And she's a catgirl. Really, I can't think of much else to say about her.
Signature Techniques
Meow Meow Missiles: Nyoka fires missiles. A lot of missiles. No, I'm serious, she fires lots and lots of missiles. Where the fuck did she store all those missiles!? Deals impressive damage to random targets. This technique is unique in that it seems to hit warmer targets (fire and electric types) more than cooler targets (water and ice types).
Feline Flurry: Nyoka ditches the cannon and releases her limiters. Then boom goes the dynamite. Instantly kills the target and may frighten other targets, forcing them to flee.
Nya Nya Nuke: Nyoka engages the laser beam. The laser beam is big and bright and hurts all enemy targets for serious damage. Like a Hyper Beam on angel dust.
I'll go ahead and get on the post now.
EDIT 1: By the way, Impact now knows in-character about all of Chizuru's Signature Techniques and can call on them when he really needs them. I won't have her mention them in the RP because I'm trying to cut back on one of the things that I think made my RPs fail before, which is ridiculous amounts of NPC dialogue. I think the RP should focus on one thing primarily, and that's battles. After all, pretty women are nice 'n' all, but I know you all came for the fightin', and that's where I intend to deliver.
EDIT 2: I think Deviantart are like, the only people who do Gardevoir art, like this picture of the luckiest sonuvabitch ever...

Nice. Very nice indeed.
I particularly like the bit where you give us information on all the Kimonos and that in turn means that we will fight with (or against) every Kimono on that list. I look forward to having the anime equivalent of airstrikes at my disposal.
Also, will Chiruzu hang around, or will she disappear rather suddenly as well? Because Impact totally has some questions to ask.

She'll hightail it after the boss is defeated, but just like this time, you'll meet yet another of those Kimono-clad cuties in the next mission.
And then you can fight 'em in the arena. I don't intend to make the third mission very long. Just one large scale brawl.

Some people might wish she would just butt out of affairs that are not her own, but when she can kick your ass without drawing her katana, nobody's willing to tell her this to her face.
That a fact?
Well I know a guy who just happens to be an untouchable badass.
EDIT: Where's Aria the Nagarai when you need her? She could get some Draco Meteor all up in this shit.
Would an Omnisroth even fit in the hallway? I think not. Back at the vault it was big enough to block access to the Gendom, and I doubt the hallway's that big.
And I just thought up a kickass weather effect for Ruin-types.
Blood Dance: Blood and organs literally rain down on the battlefield, driving Ruin pokemon into a blood frenzy and boosting their damage by 50%, also doubling the effectiveness of their status effects, stat decreases and support moves. All types other than Ruin have 20% chance of flinching, 20% chance of running away out of goddamn fear.

^__^ That picture doesn't quite have the same fanservice notion as the other, but it's SO ADORABLE. ^___^
Infomation on the Kimonos are interesting for sure. One thing bugs me though... Almost all the Kimono girls are half demons, except for the android Nyoka and Fujika the full demon. However, Shizuka and Tsubasa are both classified as Demon instead of either "Full Demon" or "Half Demon". Typo or intentionally different classification?
... Is it bad that I with all of these ladies around, Lola, Rachel, Shannon and Rayleen included, that I thought of a beach episode complete with swimsuits, water and ground pokemon galore, Renny wearing an inner tube whenever he's not surfing on Swampert and all that sort of thing?
EDIT: And of course, Moon making an appearance being the water type trainer, perhaps under strict "observation" by Shannon as part of his recovery regime.

Swimsuit contest after the arena?
Fuck yeah.
EDIT: And I'm rather surprised that Impact is okay with the Kimonos' demon origins and might even pursue that. Using pokemon is corrupting the human race but relying on satanic powers is dandy?

Renny: Pokemon = Equals and treated with respect regardless of their uses or power levels. His own pokemons treated like best friends.
Pierce: Pokemon are cool and deserve respect but in a manner similar to pets. Does prefer useful or powerful pokemons.
Impact: Relying on those other than yourself that can harness the various powers of nature is a no-no. Getting power which you can control yourself? Ok. (That's how I'm seeing Impact at least)
Charlotte: Power is Power, regardless of how or where it came from.
That's my take on it. :3

Pierce: Pokemon are cool and deserve respect but in a manner similar to pets. Does prefer useful or powerful pokemons.
That's not exactly true. Yes, Pierce likes his powerhouses, but his pokemon are his friends and he treats them as such. Tyranitar is probably his best friend.
But that speaks more about Pierce's treatment of others in general rather than just pokemon.
Impact: Relying on those other than yourself that can harness the various powers of nature is a no-no. Getting power which you can control yourself? Ok. (That's how I'm seeing Impact at least)
I don't think that's it. Pokemon can be considered as power that trainers control, after all.
And just because it's you extending your palm and blasting a city to smithereens doesn't mean it's your power.

Yeah, but if I do a beach mission soon, then I'll have to wait a lot of missions to do the hot springs mission and then even longer to do the love hotel mission.
Wait, do we even want to fight battles anymore or should we all just go have wacky misadventures at the beach? I have this vision of Charlotte in a bikini running in the shallow water with her Pokémon running alongside her and it just won't go away.
As for the post just above this one...
Pierce: "Oh, Tyranitar. Sometimes I think you're the only one who truely understands me. Um, freakin' shot in the dark but do you wanna maybe go do something sometime?"
Put that in your fanfics and smoke it.

Well, no. More like Tyranitar's been with Pierce since he was a Larvitar. AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP IS TOTALLY PLATONIC.
But thanks for ruining my sleep tonight.
So I guess now we have to decided if we want to have beach mission, hot springs mission or love hotel mission first?
I vote springs. Pierce won't wanna spend time with the guys and won't have anything else to do but spy on the girls.

I was just thinking on a tangent. ^^;
PvP idea was totally natural given that's what pokemon trainers do.
A beach episode where everyone is hanging out and Fayoc interrupts or we're investigating pokemon related incidents near the beach is neat, but I'm not trying to make it only fanservice. (And at least it can make sense since water and ground type pokemons make sense). Maybe a hot spring episode would make sense if we went mountain trekking and we encountered fire and rock types along the way to fight. The hot water spring can be a slight diversion/reward near the end or during a resting point. We could have an episode dedicated to the variety of pokemon types to encounter in the environment and how Faynoc and any other big-bads are trying to wreck it or so.
As much as all the fan-service stuff is interesting, I wasn't intending to turn this RP into another cliche Shonen manga.
Wait, do we even want to fight battles anymore or should we all just go have wacky misadventures at the beach? I have this vision of Charlotte in a bikini running in the shallow water with her Pokémon running alongside her and it just won't go away.
*Insert Charlotte's bikini being tugged on by one of her dog pokemons at the beach in a manner similar to any of those Coppertone Sunscreen logos.* (http://images.google.ca/images?hl=en&source=hp&q=Coppertone&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi[/url])
But yeah, don't want to lose the battles and still want a plot involved with stopping bad guys and saving the world somewhere down the line. :3 But no reason we can't play around with the idea. :3

AB wouldn't have the Kimonos if he wasn't already playing around with the idea.
Though I imagine love hotel would be pretty difficult to justify besides an illusion or trap, perhaps combined with some mind control.
But that might be stepping too much into lame manga/anime territory.

A love hotel specifically would be tricky, but those places are usually found in cities and urban areas, which we could justify as a suitable location for electric and steel types.
Normal: Just about anywhere where environment isn't extreme.
Fire: Mountains/Volcanos and generally dry places.
Water: Lakes, Oceans, Rivers and other water places. Easy.
Grass: Forest, grassy area, nature sort of places with bits of green.
Electric: City locations as well as places with magnetic energy such as the magnet mountain Mt.Coronet (where Probopass and Magnezone evolves)
Ice: Tundra, REALLY high mountain areas and the far reaches of desolate places especially during winter. Those areas are rare, hence why ice tends to be paired with water typing which is much more common.
Ground: Underground, mountain areas as well as most other earthy locations such as outdoors in forests with rich nutrients or cities if there are underground locations or so.
Flying: Just about anywhere, although preference being someplace where there is a place to perch (so not in the middle of the ocean) and not someplace terribly harsh. (So not in a volcano or tundra).
Rock: Mountains and most places with ground types.
Fighting: May tend to hang in natural area for more aggressive/natural fighters or urban areas if they are disiplined fighters, although they may live in slightly harsher conditions to train themselves.
Dark: Dark and mysterious places typically.
Ghost: Dark mysterious places. Places with powerful spiritual essence or presence of souls.
Psychic: Generally scattered but might flock to more peaceful locations with fewer aggressive pokemons and calmer environment for peace of mind.
Bug: Just about anywhere where anything can critter and crawl. Cities, natural areas, but tends to prefer less harsher climates.
Steel: Cities/urban environment. Also rocky locations like mountains for metal/minerals.
Poison: Nature for natural poisons such as snakes and bugs, heavily polluted urban areas and volcanos for sludge and muck and smog, and ghostly area for overall spooky unpleasant atmosphere.
Dragons: Rare all around. Mythical hotspots?
(Exceptions to be expected due to type combination and other factors)
But yeah, Love hotel seems too much on the wrong side of the scale. At this point at least.

Well, the demonic thing would be less ideological and more pragmatic. Impact wants the power, and he wants it simply for the purpose of obtaining his ideological goal. He probably wouldn't go near the demonic stuff if he didn't have a very good use indeed for the power.
And anyway, his becoming-demonic wouldn't necessarily be a good thing. I'm thinking of something along the lines of corruption, though perhaps more subtle.
Anyway...
Oh, yeah, Pierce is giving Impact orders now. Nicely done. Nicely done.
...
Pierce is so fucking dead.
Not right now, mind you, in fact, Impact's gonna be following the orders given to him, simply for the sake of the mission. But I would remind Draconion that my character has a fully loaded revolver, and his character's most vital organ is a chunk of watery protein encased in what might as well be crunchy candy coating for all the protection it'll give against bullets.
Dracorion
03-22-2010, 04:47 PM
Hey, by your own admission Pierce is an untouchable badass.
And Pierce isn't scared of Impact because he assumes Impact is smart enough to know that Pierce's pokemon would tear him apart and pee on the remains if he killed him.
And I just couldn't resist seeing Impact's reaction. His head might explode.
Menarker
03-22-2010, 04:49 PM
... Hardly reassuring in that the fact is that Pierce and Impact would both be dead and Pierce's pokemon gone rogue.
The game would go on with only Charlotte, Renny, Matthias and AB's NPC.

If it comes down to it, Pierce will call Impact's bluff. The guy will have to decide if killing Pierce will be worth dying himself and never realizing his goals.
If it's not a bluff, Pierce figures what the hell.

*Insert Charlotte's bikini being tugged on by one of her dog pokemons at the beach in a manner similar to any of those Coppertone Sunscreen logos.*
Thats a good way for them to get kicked in the face. Most of them are too intelligent to to do it anyways. Here's how I would describe Charlotte's hounds, in terms of Renny hugging them:
Buck (Arcanine): Hyperactive good dog, if a bit dumb. Would happily accept
a hug from Renny.
Pike(Manetric): Stoic and indifferent. Would not fight off a hugging Renny, but would not be enthusiastic about the hug.
Sol-leks(Houndoom): He seems like a snarling hell-beast, but thats a bit of a facade to seem intimidating. Sort of like a jerk with a heart of gold pokemon.
If hugged by Renny, he would push Renny away and growl at him.
Spitz(Mightyena): Hostile and mean. Resentful towards just about everyone, including Charlotte. Would bite Renny with next to no warning if hugged.

He won't be holding a gun to Pierce's head anytime soon. But he's been rather badly insulted, and he'll probably get revenge somehow. Perhaps demonically.

I might as well list my pokemon's traits and personalities as well. :3
Togekiss: Near impossible for Togekiss to think of a nasty or naughty thought, making this one nearly as naive and innocent as Renny himself, but given how he was imprinted since birth, that's hardly a surprise. Love, peace and compassion is its creed although it is rather defensive of Renny although it does express a sense of regret for harming others during the course of this job.
Swampert: "I'M GRRRR, baby! VERY GRRR!"
Basically, Swampert is like the big-brother and homie and very proud to show off his overall strength. Reliable supporter who is eager to reassure Renny that he is ready for more although he does get exasperated when Renny goes into his more naive phases.
Magnezone: "Insert Personality."
Easily the most neutral of the group, it also one of the most reliable because fear, worry and most negative emotions seem to rarely plague it while still being happy with the simple stuff. Pretty lazy about expressing its "emotions" or "thoughts", it pretty much is willing to hover around doing nothing in particular until told to do something. As long accepted that Renny, despite being a knowledgeable trainer, is an eccentric young lad and thus is trying to learn to adapt.
Umbreon: Heart-warming but no-nonsense matron of the group. Doesn't believe in cuddling all the time and is slightly aloof, but is always there and most affectionate when the situation is at its worst. Straight forward and dislike meaningless delays or belaboring of a tedious matter.
Shaymin: In land form, she's affectionate but shy with a tendency to refer to herself only as part of the group. However, in sky form she totally "in your face" just to get Renny's attention. "LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT MEEEEEEE!" The fact that Shaymins have telepathy and that Renny pays his pokemon plenty of attention makes this a relatively easy task most of the time.
EDIT: Omake!
Renny is with his family in a faintly rural environment with a few trees not too far from town. His pokemon are scattered on the grass, relaxing lazily. Renny and Togekiss decided to look for berries to pick in some of the bushes in the area. A few minutes later of walking...
"Hmmm, ugh, hmmm, that's so good."
"You get me so hot and wild when you're like this."
Renny couldn't tell what was going on, but he heard the voices coming a short distance away. The rustle of bushes and suddenly a leg stuck out and suddenly a naked guy fell out of the bushes and jumped back in as the poor innocent ones ran for their sanity. Renny ran back to his parents totally shocked and dismayed while Togekiss rejoined the other pokemons.
Swampert: "Oh god, what is going on with Renny NOW!?"
Togekiss: *Struggles to find not so naughty words...* "It was... It was... a dance in the bushes!"
Shaymin: *Eyes arch* "What?"
Togekiss: "Snake... in the grass!"
Swampert: "What are you going on about now?"
Togekiss: "Buh... buh... Beast with two backs!"
Swampert: *Wisen up* "Oh, watering the lawn?"
Magnezone: "1 + 1 = 3?"
Shaymin: "Planting seeds?"
Umbreon interjected, feeling cranky from the ruckus.
Umbreon: "Oh for crying out loud, it's just SEX, that's all! NOW SHUT UP!"
*Everyone quieted down as Umbreon returned to her nap, having ended the whole thing in an instant.
Swampert: *Whispering* "You know that she has been acting weird since Renny taught her Nasty Plot yesturday... Just so you know."

Posted. That worked out quite well I think.
Is this going to have a negative effect on Pierce's career? Insubordination in the middle of a battle cannot possibly look good on his resume, particularly since Impact got hurt as a result of his actions. (Or so he's going to claim).
Oh, and I've been thinking. Perhaps we should limit the use of helping hand in some way. It offers quite a lot of potential for abuse. Besides, it's removing too much strategy from the game.
I'd add a rule that there can be a maximum of 1 helping hand on a target.
If that's too extreme, then I'd make it so that helping hand doesn't multiply (that is to say, two helping hands'll give a 200% bonus to the base value of an attack, three helping hands'll give 250% and so on). Also, Trainer pokemon should be limited to using it on pokemon owned by the same trainer.

Well, there is little point in Lola having it then, plus some battles in the games are two trainers fighting against two trainers.
But if AB wishes, limiting how they stack is ok. But limiting who gets it strikes me as a poor plan.

Awww, whatever. You just want all the Helping Hands to yourself, Impact. Putting it bluntly, Helping Hand may boost an attack, but the Pokémon using Helping Hand can't do anything else that turn. I'm having trouble seeing where they gain a truely serious advantage. Besides, if they do gain an unfair advantage, Moera will make them hurt for it. Her last two Pokémon are doozies.
And no, there isn't going to be a love hotel mission. I can't see a scenario where it isn't like that boss fight in Persona 3 (where they did have a love hotel mission and the main character did see one of the girl characters in a towel because of the mind control. He sorta got slapped when they both came to) and I think a beach and hot springs mission set is enough. At least there, I can easily introduce the Water and Fire Ruin Generals, respectively. The hell'm I gonna introduce at the love hotel mission? The Psychic Ruin General? But that one's gonna be at...eh, I'll keep it hidden. There's a lot of Ruin Generals, though. Most of them are relatively human-sized like Phantomere and Marion, but some of them are really fuckin' big.

Well, see it this way. In the original pokemon games, you could have two pokemon at most. Thus, the most you could do with a pokemon that knew helping hand, was have one pokemon increase its partner's attack by 50%. This could be useful if the attacking pokemon had a quadruple effective attack, or it it was using an attack like hyper beam, but it was rather limited.
But if it's possible to stack them, or even just use multiple helping hands on one pokemon, using the attack becomes routine since, with large enough movepool, you'll almost always have a pokemon with a 2x or 4x effective attack, which'll then get powered up to OHKO territory. Kills the strategy a bit, I think.
But yeah, AB's choice.
Edit: In that case, never mind.
The unfair advantage would be what I explained above, and that's assuming that they don't compound.

Like he cares.
His counter-argument is that he's getting shit for disobeying orders once because Impact was too slow, but Charlotte gets away with a slap on the wrist for trying to kill a goddamn trainer.
However, if you're lucky, Pierce will realize that he shouldn't be giving orders and maaaaaybe apologize. Though it would be easier if it weren't obvious that Impact is barely containing himself from commiting murder.

Well, Metagross just survived a Fire Blast delivered by an Arcanine (STAB, Super effective) while it had 2 Helping Hands. Then it survived X-Scissor attack as well which is neutral damage. And Special Defence is Metagross's weakpoint as compared to its awesome phsyical defence.
Normally, I would think it would be knocked out just from the Fire Blast... but it also took up the turns of Renny's pokemons, Charlotte's Arcanine AND Shannon's Eeveelution. So yeah. ^^;
So yeah, Helping Hand hardly needs nerfing since AB has all the power to do that already. :3
Also might be worth noting that Renny doesn't actually know that Charlotte is aiming to kill. She only said she was going to attack Moera. Nothing was said about killing. ^^;

And no! Nobody gets to become half demons! Believe me, you won't like it. InuYasha was a half demon and guess what he gets for it. Some old bitch puts some magical prayer beads or something around his neck and now a schoolgirl can make him faceplant just by telling him to sit. Is that what you want? A schoolgirl who can make you faceplant with just one word? Everybody sees badasses like Dante and they're all like "I wanna be a half demon!" Being a half demon is just like being anything else. He dyes his mustache black because the genes turned his hair black, and wears gloves to hide the fact that his hands are black as well.

Backstory / Personality: Lola has been working as a trainee nurse for about five years, and as a registered nurse for less, but she's damn good at the job of healing others. One of the small disappointments in her life is that far too many people come to see her just to see her. Seriously, a stomacheache? Your leg fell asleep, that's all. Well, you guys are the players and I should always think hard about everything you request.
So fine, the Kimonos will eventually come to trust you enough to give you demonic powers (greatly increased stats across the board and your own Signature Techniques). Slayers and Pokébrids will gain the full benefit from this. You Trainers and Snaggers will need to dual class into something else like a Battle Master (Trainer 'n' Slayer) or Battle Mage (Trainer 'n' Pokébrid) because I'm drawing the line at demonizing your Pokémon. That upgrade will come a couple to a few missions after the dual class upgrade becomes available, so it won't take forever but don't hold your breath. Ultimately, we'll want to hold out on becoming half demons until shit is so ridiculous that there's no other way you'd survive.
With Mike gone, I imagine a Snagger will have to be added to the force just like requested. And I have a great candidate in mind. What, another beautiful woman? Yes, another beautiful woman!
Come to think of it, with this many beautiful women, I wouldn't be surprised if Brock found permanent residence in Honmyr just so he could hit up on girls and get Poison Jab'd by Croagunk for his out-of-control libido.

Oh goddammit. Why the hell would you guys get demonic powers? Your characters don't need them. They don't want them either, nothing so far indicates that any of them lust for power. They seem to have little to no agenda that would necessitate it. And, more to the point, you're powerful enough already!
Well, except for Matt. I wouldn't mind him getting the upgrade.
But the rest of you, get off my turf! My idea! Mine!
What I'd have proposed is that when all of you get to dual-class, Impact gets to go half-demon. That'd be appropriate, no? We'd all be getting upgrades at the same time, anyway.
Also, I'll have something to convince you to give up your pokemon with.

Getting to go half-demon might not be on par with dual-classing.
First of all, Pierce was pondering about the netherworld first, and demonic powers are only a stone's throw away from that. Second of all, Pierce's agenda of "do the right thing" could use some demonic goodness in it. Third of all, he would totally accept half-demon powers if offered.
As for your bit at the end there, Pierce would still say fuck you and then kick Impact's ass, superpowers or no.
Not to mention if Impact is the only one that gets to go half-demon Pierce will throw a hissy fit like you would not believe. He's already going to fight against Impact and Charlotte getting it even if it's available for everyone.

Actually, my post in which Impact mused on demonic power came before yours. Also, I think it was myself who first mentioned the possibility of going semi-demonic. My fucking idea. Get your own way of becoming overpowered.
Secondly, since when does Pierce have an agenda? He hasn't ever mentioned doing the right thing, the only motivation you've given for him joining the Watchmen was "better pay and better battles". And while I'll admit that "better battles" could possibly include the acquisition of more power, it's fucking vague.
And why wouldn't it be on par with dual-classing? If you were to go battle master you'd benefit from all the weapons and upgrades I have at my disposal, as well as all the trainer upgrades. If there's balancing issues, AB can tackle those, by making semi-demonic classes more or less powerful accordingly.
And how on earth would Pierce stop them? D'you think Impact's gonna put this to a vote? He'll talk to the Kimonos himself.

Actually, never mind. I suddenly realize why I'm so possessive of this. When I suggested this, I never intended it to be purely a combat upgrade. I want this to be character development.
If this were just combat, I'd probably be annoyed that I'm not the only one doing this, but I'd just claim credit and act smug, so that'd be fine.
But really, I've been linking this to Impact's personality, and his quest. He wants power over society. He tries this politically. He'll try it demonically.
And that's the reason, really. He won't want the demon powers to be badass and better at combat. He'd ask primarily for the power to influence people's minds, to gain their hearts and minds, to grasp them by their emotions, to persuade and manipulate, he'd want them, all of them, to recognize the problem they live with and refuse to deal with, he'd ask for the power, not to kill them all, but to make them realize, and make them march in the streets, the sound of their lockstep echoing the heartbeat of a unified society, a society fighting against the plague that's been festering in its heart.
Or something along those lines.
Anyway, character development. Not combat.
Also, as Renny mentioned, there'd be quite a bit of hypocrisy inherent in his gaining power from another source, considering his agenda. So there's even more potential for development and conflict there.
And when character development's involved, what I really crave is originality. Having everyone else do exactly what I'm doing wouldn't really make this development unique at all. Which, in turn, takes all the fun out of it.
So please? See if you can find another way to make yourselves badass?

Meh, Pierce doesn't have anything to sacrifice except a pokemon or a limb.
And pokemon can't die while their trainer is conscious. I suppose Pierce could get knocked out and Tyranitar dies, but then we'd have to do the whole "friend dies, character goes emo" cliche and who wants that?
And if he loses a limb, eh, big deal.
What I'm trying to come up with is something that throws Pierce waaay off his base but doesn't involve him going emo depressed.
As for the battle, I was actually planning on deploying Kingdra, but if Chizuru's food cures stat decreases I'll keep Metagross.
So I guess I'm waiting until tomorrow for AB's answer.
EDIT: As for Pierce joining Impact, it depends.
If Impact's plan is to force people to give up on pokemon, Pierce will be actively fighting against him.

Pierce has a criminal history, doesn't he? But he's never actually hurt (or, at the very least, not killed) anyone.
Why not have him find out that he was contributing to some really horrible plan by a crime organization? That he's partially responsible for some terrible crime?

I was thinking Pierce could die. The Kimonos, or at least Chizuru, had to die in order to get into Shizuka's service. Now, the team probably won't have to die to get their demon powers, but for Pierce, dying combined with the fact that he'd have to sacrifice visits to the world of the living (except for business, I.E.: kicking Ruin ass), would force him to sneak out once to visit his sister and get some closure on the past. He'd move on and finally open up.
But now that I'm writing it, sounds like it'd be a little complicated. Or not, I dunno.
One thought I have is:

Yeah, Pierce has a strict "no-killing" rule. Which includes pokemon as well. You'll notice he didn't actually kill the Yanmega way back when on the rooftop, and AB gave no indication that the rogues the team faced with the tutu-wearing male trainer were dead.
He's fine with killing Ruin-types because he doesn't really consider them pokemon. Like Rio said, normal pokemon eat, sleep, drink, crap and breed. Ruin-types don't.
Why not have him find out that he was contributing to some really horrible plan by a crime organization? That he's partially responsible for some terrible crime?
That might work. He wouldn't get all depressed, he'd run off on his own subquest and kick ass to set things right. And in the end he could realize he's way in over his head and call in the rest of the team.
He'd end up opening up partially rather than completely as the whole dying thing would do.

Sounds quite excellent actually. Particularly since the team doesn't yet know that he used to be a criminal. Calling them in will require explanation. Explanation will lead to interesting reactions.
Charlotte'll see you as one of her own, fellow criminal. Or at least she'll pretend to, just to taunt you.
Renny'll be shocked.
I'm not sure about Impact. Unless the crime involved both humans and pokemon (which it might have, I'm thinking that he facilitated the construction of an illegal pokebrid creation facility, where hundreds of both humans and pokemon died horribly in experiments, which attempted to turn mob leaders into super-powered pokebrids. We could even involve Faynoc in this, have him either support us to destroy the pokebrid facility (monopoly. ^^), or try to get control over it and fight us.) he'll be indifferent, though of course he'll look upon you with disdain.
Getting ostracized and having to at the very least reveal more of himself to the group to trust him again would be a good way to get him to open up.

Now we just need to yell at AB to allow a vaguely plot related sidequest.
Piece of cake.
Though I wonder if other characters should get similar sidequests. Impact is probably the best candidate, anyway.
And I hope you realize Pierce and I still want demon powers.

Now we just need to yell at AB to allow a vaguely plot related sidequest.
Piece of cake.
Or we could just give him the cake.
As for other character's sidequests...
Sounds quite awesome, actually.
I'm not quite sure what their objectives would be, though...
Renny could
a) have problems with one of his pokemon at home. (As in, Snorlax gets sick, we need to find a cure)
a) be on a quest to woo Chizuru, and have to prove himself to the other Kimonos first, with our help. (I'd prefer if he took the former)
I don't know about Matt...
Charlotte...
There's a lot Charlotte could be doing in her spare time, but nothing that she'd enlist the help of the Watchmen for, since it'll probably certainly be illegal.
Maybe her criminal past could also catch up to her, she betrayed her associates when she joined the watchmen, didn't she? Yeah, perhaps she gets recognized during a mission, and has to ask the rest of us for help. The important bit here would be less the revelation of her criminal past, and more the fact that she has to admit that she needs help. This'll either make her humble, or make her more resentful.
Impact's main objective is the PHS (Pokemon-Human Separation, I'll be using that more often from now on) agenda. His sidequest would probably involve something along those lines...
But really, the only thing you could make a quest out of (involving that, anyway) is demonic ambitions. Which, I guess, would also involve proving himself to the kimonos. Perhaps they get transported to the netherworld, so Impact can see what it's like, see if he could survive there. Though why'd the rest of the team come along?
Needs more thinking.
Dracorion
03-24-2010, 12:57 AM
Renny only has one option for sidequest, and that's the first one. There is no second option.
Would it be an acceptable compromise if Impact got to go full on Demon, rather than half-demon, with obscenely buffed up stats and perhaps special abilities like some weak mind control (basically, he could make a decently convincing argument and mind control would do the rest, except it wouldn't work on the particularly stubborn)? Or other passive kind of special abilities. And everyone else has the option of going half-demon.
Or perhaps the super-suit that AB suggested and half-demon. Or super-suit and full demon.
Impact's sidequest could involve getting said supersuit. It'd be some kind of experimental technology. Perhaps being developed by Faynoc. Or not.
Geminex
03-24-2010, 01:10 AM
I'd prefer if his quest involved the demon thing.
And yeah, no need for supersuits. That'd be dependence, again.
Though I like the option of everyone going half-demon and Impact going full demon. That'd work quite well. He could get the combat upgrades and the Voice of Power (+200 to all persuasion rolls).
In fact, why not do it this way:
Every character's side mission will end with them getting their class upgrade.
Pierce can get all his pokemon knocked out while he's still alone, and have to defend them himself, using... I dunno, improvised weaponry? That sort of thing. Thus, the seeds of becoming a master of battle are sown. After the mission's over, he decides to take up the arts of a slayer as well, gets instructions from Rayleen (or Impact) and voila, battle master.
And everything else could happen in the same vein. Depending who wants which extra class, the sidequests can plunge them into situations where they'll have to improvise a dual-class, and after the mission they'll use the dual-class for good.
Impact's mission could come last. It'd involve the Kimonos extending the offer of becoming half-demon to the entire party, this involves visiting the Netherworld. Halfway through the mission, they'll all be half-demons with the appropriate stats boosts and signature moves. But in the end, Impact wants more, talks to... probably Mika. Tells her about his desire for power over minds, somehow persuades her to let him go full-demon.
He still has to quest, though, either, again, to prove himself worthy (I'm using that phrase a lot, aren't I?), perhaps to find some ingredient, maybe a combination. I'm thinking that during the first part, when they're all obtaining Semidemon status, they just dick around in the Netherworld, get used to it, fight random encounters, or perhaps just get shown around by various Kimonos.
In the second part, the party accompanies Impact to the throne/alter/temple of the demon god, whose approval the Kimonos need to turn Impact into a full demon. It'll involve combat, of course, and in the end Impact returns with some token of worth, they use that token to turn him full demon.

^^; Hey hey, don't think that Renny is sidelined only to one sidequest. Like I said, I'm dealing with everything on a step by step basis. :3 Plus, AB might open up some additional options.
Beside, I never said I wanted the demon blood thingie!
I'll deal with those things when the time comes. :3 It's all fun and good that you're looking forward to all this, but this is still AB's RP and you're already suggesting how it should or likely should be done. :3
Dracorion

And yeah, no need for supersuits. That'd be dependence, again.
Oh come on. If Impact doesn't like being dependent on a badass-powered mech suit, why is he willing to depend on Slayer weapons and armor? He should just run around buttnekkid punching pokemon.
... I'd watch that.
Anyway, there's really no difference between the suit and Slayer equipment.
EDIT: this is still AB's RP and you're already suggesting how it should or likely should be done. :3
I like to think of it as brainstorming. It's still AB's call if he wants to use our suggestions or not.
And he fucking better shoot down must of the crap we've said, or I'll fucking punch him in the balls.
Geminex
03-24-2010, 01:19 AM
Exactly, we're suggesting. Suggesting stuff that might be fun. AB can do with that what he will, but there's gotta be some good ideas in there somewhere?
And if everyone gets a sidequest focused on them, wouldn't that be fair? The entire team'd participate, of course, but the source of the sidequest would be one character's personal reasons, which would then result in that character getting an upgrade.
Nobody'd be sidelined, since everybody'd be participating.
Though if you wanted more than one sidequest focused on Renny, that'd work, I guess.
And if Renny doesn't like the demon thing, couldn't he go angelic? Or get some other additional upgrade?
Edit:
Anyway, there's really no difference between the suit and Slayer equipment.
I invite you to compare.
Currently, Impact is using a piece of pointy metal.
You are saying that there is no difference between hitting you enemy with a piece of pointy metal, and being strapped into a device that vastly improves your fighting capabilities by strengthening your movements, your senses, and putting a vastly increased amount of weapons at your disposal?
...
Never mind. I get your point, though. He probably wouldn't object too much to a mechsuit. I'd still prefer going full-demon, though.

His goals are secret. Partially because I'm a jerk. Partially because its hard to explain. And partially because I haven't figured them all out yet

Like has already been pointed out, it is unlikely that this stuff is gonna be used. AB has plans of his own, I'm sure. Though punching him in the balls for listening to us seems a bit harsh. I'm sure, if he does listen to our ramblings he'll regret it, testicular trauma or no.
So take your time thinking up stuff. Or wait for AB to outline what's gonna happen.
And I realize that we really don't know that much about Matt. When's he gonna start talking about himself?
I know he's not the type to, but hey, I need to know how to manipulate him.
DanteFalcon

You put the idea in his head. Me? I only have a mild dislike that will certainly end within the half hour. In fact I chuckled at the initial comment. But in terms for Charlotte, that will last a bit longer and be a bit more intense. Rescind the hatred, and change it to a bitter dislike. She will help Impact get revenge Pierce though.

But Charlotte doesn't know about this!
And besides, I was just stating a universal thruth. I had no intention of letting it get out of hand.
Still, revenge on Pierce is revenge on Pierce. Good enough, for now.

Gentlemen, and I use that term with caustic sarcasm, I believe we should actually focus our attention and violence towards Matt. We have all completely failed to ascertain what his goals or temperament are at all.
The only logical action is to pin him against a wall beat him up and interrogate him the moment we are given the slightest provocation. And then set him on fire once thats over. That stoic bastard will talk!
Geminex
03-24-2010, 10:25 PM
Eh. Impact can listen in. As for your brass pair, I'd remind you of all the things that're super-effective against steel types. Among them fire. Impact has a flamethrower. Were you saying anything?
And how was Impact making the wrong choices? Pierce has no way of knowing that the Narcham he killed wouldn't be replaced. They know now, but Pierce was risking their getting swamped by Pulverot.
Edit:

That would be more threatening if you had already shown yourself to be manipulative. The most Matt's done so far is mention that "some team members are less trustworthy than others", or something along those lines, which seems to be old news.

Y'know, I think I'll take the title of "killjoy". Because it seems like I'm the only one who takes offense to balancing issues.
Like, you know, when blizzard strikes 7 targets. Like the last time Lola used it.
Hadn't we set up a rule where an multi-target attacks only hit two enemy targets? It's bullshit otherwise.
And yes, I know that it's technically impossible to be overpowered, because AB'll nerf anything that he doesn't like, but humor me. Please.
DanteFalcon
03-25-2010, 02:43 AM
It doesn't overly bother me that you bring up balance issues. It shows you care about the RP which is hardly something I can fault you for.
My issue with Blizzard is that it doesn't make much sense that I can say "Oh yeah I create a raging ice storm that hits all of you while my ally and I are warm and cozy."

Geez, I really can't read all that...except until tomorrow night. But I will post about what I think I read and will mention some things that will occur in the not-too-distant future. Anyways, what I put in this post is probably subject to change, but I can't currently see a reason for it to change.
Honestly, if you'll stay with the RP, I've no current problems with player character sidequests. Because there's enough players and certainly enough NPCs, there's the easy possibility of multiple sidequests at once, at least two but possibly even three. But I intend to keep it at two since that'd increase my workload, which usually doubles when I leave you guys to think about the RP and where it can go in the future.
The powered mech armor, which is now officially named Rapid Deployable Powered Hardsuit or RDPH, is a lot like a Pokébrid's Paradigm Shift. You get it for several turns, it's more awesome than a Slayers normal loadout, and when the internal battery runs low, the Slayer will be safely autoejected (he or she will be warned of this) and the suit will retreat to recharge, rearm, and return when the Slayer needs it next.
If you go full demon, which will require you having some fun with Fujiko (a huge demonic boss monster fight should be expected), that's like half demon plus another Paradigm Shift, giving the Demonic Slayer two different Paradigm Shifts without even having Pokémon DNA. If you truely intend to go full demon, I may need an idea of where you want your powers centered. Actually, that should go for all people who truely want demonic powers of any level. You want fire? You want ice? You want scythes? Lamp oil? Rope? Bombs? You want it? It's yours, my friend, as long as you have enough Rupees.
...Eh, sorry about that Link CDi thing. I couldn't resist. Anywho...
There're are other possible major upgrades besides demonic rituals, like legendary Pokémon. Feel like you'd rather do something different? Run it by me.
Faynoc is a mad scientist turned religious hysteric. He won't work with anyone because he believes he's some kind of chosen one given a holy crusade to resurrect the era of Ruin Pokémon, which he believes to be divine creatures. Think you'll get him to help you any? Your next mission will involve you fighting him and a lot of his Pokébrid cultists. He's pretty much beyond deal-making and bribery. Religious loons usually are.
In fact, about the only NPCs you could make deals with for some kind of common goal are some of the Kimonos. Tsubasa and Shizuka are above it, but you could convince the naive Chizuru, the easy-to-please Mika, the lusty Rio, the backstabbing Fujiko, the machine nut Kiyomi, and the battle-loving Kirie to work with you. Let's just hope you've brushed up on your diplomacy.
Becoming an angel is unfortunately beyond possibility. Kirie doesn't know why she is one, and she's very likely the only angel in the crossover netherworld.
-----
To put it bluntly, it's difficult to remember all I've skimmed through on your posts. A good summary from one of you kind souls couldn't hurt, but otherwise I'll need tomorrow night to read it all and consider your ideas and requests.
Anyways, I'll get to posting now while watching hentai. Because I'm a multitasker!
EDIT 1: Here's a general rundown of what I have planned for the future. It's not everything as I'll try not to spoil too much.
Mission 3: Calm Down the Riot! ~ An unauthorizied religious gathering of a large scale has turned violent in Gregmore Square. Lots of Pokébrids and non-trainer rioters.
Mission 4: Show Your Stuff In the Arena! ~ Time for some R&R after all the heavy fighting...naw, scratch that! Time for some PvP!
Mission 5: Life's a Beach! ~ Okay, now it's really time for some R&R. Some old friends return and you gain a new Snagger! Mayhem ensues before you can really enjoy the views, though.
Mission 6: Fainas In Lockdown! ~ A situation occurs that has the whole metropolis running and hiding. How can we defeat the enemy when we can't even leave the agency?
Mission 7: Finally! The Origin of Pokémon! ~ It's a tense situation at some very big ruins. Your enemies? The Kimonos. And they won't let their comraderie with you get between them and keeping you out.

Summary man! To the rescue!
You seem to have a pretty good idea of what's happened.
Each character should get a sidequest, tied in to their back-story or personality, which'll be of personal importance to them, develop them as a character and result in them getting a dual-class (or some other, equal) upgrade.
Characters can choose the general scheme and goals of their sidequests, with some limitations (like no Chiruzu for Renny), though you'll be responsible for planning everything, what enemies they'll fight, and so on.
This is still in the suggestion phase, up till now only me and Drac have had serious input. If anyone else has problems, speak within the next 72 hours, or forever hold your silence! Or don't, whichever you prefer.
We've already worked out the initial plan for both Pierce's and my sidequest. (Note that I'm not sure if this is what Pierce wants, I think he's ok with it, but you should definetly get his input)
For Pierce's, he'll find out that all the criminal work he's done has indirectly harmed hundreds of both humans and pokemon (I suggested that he'd have contributed to the construction of an illegal pokebrid lab, which tortured hundreds in an attempt to create more powerful pokebrids, this could be run by Faynoc), he gets pissed, tries to kick ass and make things right, fails miserably, calls us in, we save the day.
Mine'd be the last sidequest we do, cause it'd involve everyone getting getting a second upgrade (people could either go semi-demonic, or perhaps get some other, again, equally powerful upgrade, maybe a certain super-powered pokemon found only in the netherworld). What I'm imagining is that, after a series of adventures and battles against evil, the kimonos trust us enough to invite us to the Netherworld and offer all of us the chance to become semi-demonic. Everyone gets an upgrade of some kind (for everyone except Impact this'll be a second upgrade, I wasn't planning to have Impact get an updgrade before that), then, when we're done, Impact wants more, so it's at this point that the Impact-focused part of the sidequest really starts, everything up to that quest (that is, exploring the Netherworld, growing more powerful, and so on) would have been more a general sidequest. Anyway, they go on a quest to help Impact get full demonic power, Impact outlines his ideas about PHS to justify his desire to go full-demon, they fight the grey Kimono, Impact gets his full demon upgrade, everybody's happy.
If you think Impact can't survive until then without an upgrade, Impact could use the RDPH until he gets the demonic stuff, and then abstains from it.
Anyway, that's pretty much what we spent several pages discussing.
That, and we discussed how Charlotte could possibly get laid. It involved Narcham.
And we plotted to torture Matt, until he reveals his backstory.
Anyways, I'll get to posting now while watching hentai. Because I'm a multitasker!
