So, I just saw the first episode of Heroman, created by Stan Lee and produced by Bones. You've got your standard Stan Lee cameo, lots of perfectly executed cheesiness, and some straight up awesome to boot. The art and animation is gorgeous, too.

We have a thread about Heorman? Man, all I can contribute is the question "Why is Joey so moe?" Seriously, it's confusing. Stop messing with me, Japan.

"Why is Joey so moe?"

Because apparently I didn't have enough male anime characters to crush on yet.

Didn't even know male characters could be moe. This entire pop Japanese attraction hierarchy numbs and confuses me.

Anyway, I'll have to check this out, though "Heroman" smacks of smug parodical cheesiness, as purposeful Engrish often does.

Try Crunchyroll. If your a member you're good but if not you might be a week behind.

Now how do I describe this. Well its definitely Stan Lee work from the alliterative main character name. Its got its own special blend of Marvel and traditional Anime that manages to work on so many levels. Like the ridiculous hair and all the little tropes you always see in an anime. But then there are American flags everywhere and the animation itself is drawn more like it was ripped from the pages of a Marvel comic. I have no idea how they did it but they blended the two styles seamlessly and I couldn't stop laughing at the hilarity of it. It's like if you took everything that is funny about Engrish and translated it into a visual format. This is the anime American's have been bitching they wanted since geeks started fansubbing in their basements. If this doesn't make it onto American TV it will be the greatest crime against humanity since the last greatest crime against humanity.
