Any particular recommendations from anyone? I've listened to In the Court of the Crimson King and In the Wake of Poseidon already as far as albums go.

Definitely give Red a listen, it's arguably the best album from the early period of King Crimson

This.

Also, check out other progressive rock bands who are not Dream Theater.

And Ghengis Tron. Because the world needs more thrashy-techno.

Dream Theater is not progressive.

Dream Theater is kinda math-y and wank-y but they aren't really progressing anything.

I'm a big fan of Three of a Perfect Pair, its really the perfect combination of typical song structure and weird-as-hell song composition that KC does. There needs to be more of that! XD

Alright I'll listen to Red then.

And does anybody know what the hell is up with Lizard? I guess that's what happens when only two people remain in the band from album to album...

EDIT: Not that I can stop listening to Lizard...

It's an album that people either love or hate. Personally, I only enjoyed 2 tracks off of that album, Cirkus and the title track.

They fix up their act at Larks Tongues in Aspic.
