Edit: I have no idea why uploading it adds those bars to the top and bottom. Probably something to do with resolution the pic doesn't normally show for some reason. Just the original pic by the way. My actual desktop is a HYOOJ mess of icons and sidebar sticky notes.

This beautiful piece of fanart for some game I never played is my desktop since... well a really long time. I think I had it even the last time we had a thread for this. I should really change it.

I've had this here in queue for a long time now. I made it myself but it's not made for widescreen. I think I'll use it anyway some time soon.

If I get tired of blue I can always change the hue!Have it any bigger (>=1440x900)? It's exactly as needlessly overcomplicated as it should be.
Mine, just changed yesterday:

My computer sits on a DVD player box on a shoe box on an over-turned plastic crate. It's right next to my bed. I can go from sleeping to being on NPF in less than ten seconds.

I REALLY like this one in contrast to my usual gigantic kick-ass desktops. It's very... simple.
Also, because I still LOVE Final Fantasy Tatcis.

4chan is surprisingly good at maintaining a great wallpaper board.
I spent like 10 mins on one post saving all the replies to a MOAR LIEK THIS type post-- this is one of them.

There's actually a nifty program that allows you to make your own, but it's hard to find. Thad pointed me to it and I don't think I had the sense to bookmark the page, but I might be able to dig it up.
Edit: Or it might be the first result. Whichevs. http://magicseteditor.sourceforge.net/

lol?
Shoot. Three of mine are not current. I will have to update these later when I am at home and not printing out exams.

This currently serves as the background for both my monitors. By the way, any of you fine chaps know how to stretch an image across two monitors or make it so that they both display different images? Is that even possible? I am aware of one method by which you make another image a web item (or some such thing) and place it on the other monitor, but that displeases me. Other methods? Suck it up?

Try the hack of just sort of stapling two images together, making one big wide one?
Otherwise, maybe this program (http://lifehacker.com/software/featured-windows-download/customize-your-dual-monitor-wallpaper-with-displayfusion-298111.php)?

It's not particularly good because it's self made, and I don't pretend to be awesome or anything.

It was done by our very own Mammothtank, about 3ish years ago.

UltraMon (http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/) It is the Best Thing for dual monitors. Also includes a second task bar and buttons on each window for switching screens or stretching a window across two screens. Can also run separate screen savers for each monitor.
It sometimes crashes a lot, but it takes all of two seconds to reboot.
Also it is subscription software, but the you can simply reinstall it at the end of the 30 day trial period and it will start the 30 days over. Seemingly indefinitely.

I just changed to this;
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii87/Hawk_of_Battle/Desk.jpg
It replaces my previous AvP background, which featured a Predator stabbing a Xeno while throttling a marine. Badass, but not quite up to Kratos levels of epicness.
