There's the software. Let's see what we all can come up with. ;)

my magic nerdery must tell you that the above card is oh so wrong in oh so many ways.

Ill contain the rage to GREEN DOES NOT DEAL NONCOMBAT DAMAGE

also, Ive used MSE to create a block once. it was awful when looked at together, but the individual cards were ok.

If you're talking about the inverted side, that's colorless. You may weep now. ;)

you use green mana to cast it, and green to flip it. thats a green card, the same way Ghostfire is a red one.

I know green doesn't do direct damage. That's red's job. Or it used to be when I still played. Keep in mind this was thrown together out of boredom sometime last year just to play with the system.

Oh, and POST MOAR CARDS!

Maybe if I actually knew Magic I could come up with something decent, but hey, the thing can do Yu-Gi-Oh Cards as well!
Sorry, I know, TMI.

Both made by Mammothtank.

Both "Indiscrimination" and "The Goggles" sound like they'd "work" in an Un- set. (Think Unglued and Unhinged)

EDIT: Also, as far as I remember, there weren't any flippable cards that could flip back at will. (Re; "Toshi" card from the first post.) Though this may have changed, since I stopped playing after the release of the Ravnica block.

It was done that way on purpose to help prevent memorisation issues. It easier to remember if you have a card that's gone off or not than one that goes back and forth.

Indiscrimination is a blatant rip off of a unglued card.

So, you are right! It'd be great in an unglued set! XD

Edit: It's worth mentioning: Chaos Confetti is based off of a card Chaos Orb, which legend has it, someone played in a tournament the exact way Chaos Confetti is "supposed" to. Chaos orb says to toss it into the air, and whatever it lands on, destroy. The dude took Chaos Orb, ripped it up, and threw it at everything his opponent had. XD

Yeah, that's where I nicked the ripping it up part from. Chaos Orb, that is. Didn't know about the other one. The thing is very old and super rare, but I had the experience of seeing one in mint condition once. It was from, what, first, second edition? It was at a con being sold for in excess of $100, but I don't recall the price. Could be WAY in excess at this point.

Really, I just wanted an excuse to put that lightning storm on a card.

In all honesty, my first experience with the flippers was in the Kamigawa block where they changed into heroes.
And once you go "hero", you can't change back into obscurity, so to speak. [EDIT: Which was actually the whole explanation, if I remember correctly.]

I have no idea if there were actual flippers back in Ye Olden Days, so... Kinda reversed of what Blues has. He's only got until 6th, I ain't got a single card from before 6th. (and after Ravnica)

they were only in Kamigawa, it was one of the blocks gimmicks.

Alright!
So, what I said is still true, except for exactly the wrong reason (unless Blues had Kamigawa in mind, which he didn't.)
