View Full Version : Pokemon Umbral Discussion 17: Renny Will Be the Antagonist In the Sequel

There. Now Geminex won't miss the new discussion thread.

Anyways, if you're craving Gardevoir, here's something...

It's a Gardevoir comic. (http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n196/GardevoirDefender/comic/005.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.psypokes.com/forums/viewtopic.php%3Ff%3D16%26t%3D22612&usg=__O6FfsxhlH3jo9lX3Yfpw6MDbQHQ=&h=600&w=800&sz=110&hl=en&start=1&itbs=1&tbnid=HX0P59M5OVz5_M:&tbnh=107&tbnw=143&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dtranslated%2BGardevoir%2Bcomic%26hl%3 Den%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1)

The translation of it isn't the best, but I still like it.

Anyways, now on to the mountain of questions you fuckers have...

-----

@ Geminex: No. No unique moves for legendaries that don't have them. I've got enough to figure out and I don't have a lot of time for even considering it.

-----

@ Geminex: Unfortunately, Kimonos and Pokebrids cannot use their special shit when they have their Pokemon out. It's for the best, actually. Lexhur is going to be really difficult to hurt at first and you'll just waste their best abilities if you use 'em now.

-----

@ Menarker: All opponents of a Pokemon with Intimidate will be affected.

Wobbuffet is almost dead. Just leave 'em be. He's taking up a slot that could have had a tough Pokemon in it.

Yes, those're all of the opponents...wait, that is twelve foes, right?

And yes, Legendaries and Pseudo-Legendaries are force deployed on the Front Lawn as well. Sorry about forgetting to mention that. When a Legendary Pokemon is defeated there, you can designate The Dark, The Light, or any four of their Pokemon as the recipient of the Testament Drive. The Testament Drive will always have the same type as the Pokemon itself.

Putting a foe to sleep doesn't make their Pokemon go rogue. Hell, if that happened, Pokemon trainers would be super insomniacs, trying to stay awake forever so their Pokemon don't go rogue and start robbing liquor stores.

Although I imagine that's what Charlotte has her Pokemon do at night anyways. "Buck! Spitz! Mommy needs her dizzy water!"

Anyways, just beward that status effects and debuffs may not work on those two assholes. They are bosses, after all.

-----

@ Dracorian: I created my own version of Time Slip.

-----

@ Dracorian: Dormond can do damage to Lexhur with Snap Trap, but won't contain him. Hell, a Wailord won't be able to contain Lexhur. But Dormond can subdue Absorbers.

Dormond still has that Belly Drum stuff.

That's a good idea for Pressure. See? We can work this shit out!

I plan of having dual-classes be accessible after Mission 4 (At the Arena).

-----

@ Dracorian: Ruin Generals are cheaters, indeed. Don't worry, Lexhur's got an assload of attacks with various attack types. Ground, fire, dark, steel, ruin...lotsa shit.

Dracorion

... What?

So, that's it? It just fucks up enemy Paradigm Shifts?

You suck.

Aw, man, the "all pokemon are effected by Intimidate" thing is going to cause a bit of trouble, I imagine.

Also, I'll have to switch Dominic and Renny's pokemon because Dominic has Latios and Renny revived Shaymin.

Ah well. Might as well see what my new plan is going to be...

... I'm going to be the antagonist of the sequel?
I better get lots of sexy women for that. >_>

Astral Harmony

I'll add more to Time Slip. Don't worry about it, you won't get Dialga from Discord for a looooong ass time. Be happy when you get Enmekki during your sidequest 'cause you won't get a chance to take Dialga for a long time.

Anyways, here's an actual picture.

It's the truth, ain't it? Well, it's the truth except in Pokemon Umbral.

-----

And of course the antagonist gets lotsa bitches. He's the goddamned antagonist. What would he settle for if didn't have bitches? Sharpedos with laser beams attached to their heads?

Don't worry about splitting stat chances with Blizzard. It already hits two Pokemon, y'know?

And here's something I think I already told you but bears repeating since I think nobody remembers: when a move is super-effective, the chance of it inflicting a given status effect is doubled. Ultra-effective moves have a quadrupled chance. This is the same for Slayer weapons.

Dracorian, everything I say is a lie...except that...and that...and that...

Armored Bishoujo: "Don't start."

I thought I had. There's been so many discussion threads.

Anyways, that's another looney post typed up mostly on the fly. The action on the front lawn is getting pretty intense, and I'm not even talking about the Sexy Party...

...Okay, the Sexy Party is a good chunk of it.

Geminex
05-05-2010, 06:56 AM
AAARGH!
Exposition... OVERLOAD.

Ok, not really. Very interesting, though.
And, y'know, half of the questions Impact asked Mika were related to that. Did you ignore them for that reason, or did you just miss them?

Dracorion
05-05-2010, 07:10 AM
Okay, Renny has been spending far too much time with the bitches. We need to cut that shit out.

And seriously, Pierce is getting tired of being ignored. I mean, first no one attacking him during the Phantomere battle, now Lexhur won't deign to talk to him?

Yeah, he might go full-on world domination evil just to spite you jerks.

I mean, here I was worried that I was actually making Pierce's sidequest too much about Pierce. But y'know what? Not anymore.

Anyway. I think we should drop Magnet Crush this turn. The only Absorber we really care about is Dragon, and we can take it out of the equation for as many as five turns with Allegion's Thunder Crush and Dormond's Snap Trap.

Plus, if Registeel goes down we can just have Rachel use Magnet Crush again, because Lexhur will have revealed it's parts by then.

Geminex
05-05-2010, 07:36 AM
Dude. Read the post.
Order for Rachel to end Magnet Crush early in order to have Lexhur reveal his more vulnerable parts at the end of this turn's Enemy Phase so you can attack them on the next turn.

We'll pretty much be hitting only the absorbers this turn. Still, I agree with ending magnet crush early. Our legendaries have taken a bit of damage already, and if there's one thing I don't want, it's for a testament drive to go to waste. And I'm actually ok with Renny getting Kirie. For now.

Oh, and:
Yeah, he might go full-on world domination evil just to spite you jerks

Okay.

So what the hell are we supposed to do this turn?

I'm not jealous. I'm with Renny next mission, remember? And Lola's with Renny. I'm with Lola. Sexy Party fun time.

Still, have fun with Charlotte, you hear? If you get her drunk enough, she might strip.

So what the hell are we supposed to do this turn?
Hit the dragon and steel absorbers. Maybe throw in a few psychic attacks, to confuse Lexhur, make him produce a wrong absorber.

But Pierce is going to get his own evil mastermind advisor soon that'll try to lead him down the path of world domination.

No. We're definitely splitting Renny and Lola up.

It needs to happen, and you know I'm right, my selfish reasons aside.

Hit the dragon and steel absorbers. Maybe throw in a few psychic attacks, to confuse Lexhur, make him produce a wrong absorber.

Preeeeeetty sure Lexhur is immune to confusion.

I added clarification. "Confuse him, make him produce a wrong absorber". I'm saying we hit him with psychic, he produces a psychic absorber, we laugh at him and call him stupid.

No. We're definitely splitting Renny and Lola up.
Maybe.

Allow me to point you at a certain cloud of darkness that is an extremely powerful telepath.
I approve wholeheartedly. Niiiice.
Mind you, you will become and obstacle and will be removed eventually, but until then? I both condone and support your decision. http://i947.photobucket.com/albums/ad317/geminex/Umbral.jpg

Just a quick attempt of mine to make the various parties involved in this more comprehensible. Feel free to correct stuff, make your own additions, and update it as we go along.

Okay. We have a limited amount of psychics. There's Mewthree, Rachel's Metagross and Pierce's Metagross.

And Pierce isn't spending a Max Revive on Metagross, so if you want it up you'll have to make Rachel revive it.

Maybe.

Definitely.

I approve wholeheartedly. Niiiice.

Enmakki isn't going to let anything stand in the way of Pierce and world domination. Try to remove him? Prepare to be mindraped.

Just lemme quote somethin' here.

Ah.

Ahahaha.
AhahahahahHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahehehe!

...

AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!
There we go.
I have mapped out every detail, planned every step, justified every action. I have carefully considered each and every way anyone could stop me and have plans and backup plans in place to eliminate each and every vulnerability that I may still possess. Action and reaction, everything's been mapped out, pinned down, identified and analyzed. I have put more thought into this in the 6 weeks I've been considering it that you could ever muster in a 10-year span, even if you had your Enmakki and an Alakazam to whisper the thoughts in your ear while your inferior brain wandered off to think about sleep or sex. I have motivation, I have means, I hold key positions, hold key alliances. You cannot stand against me, Enmakki or no. Because see, I'm no mere villain. I'm a mastermind, my friend. I think about things. I can actually concentrate. I've set my sights on this. And I will let no-one, no-one take it from me. And I'll see that you burn if you try. You'll burn, my pretty, and your pokemon too.

...

In-game, obviously. I wouldn't plan world domination IRL! Nope. Not at all.

Dracorion
05-05-2010, 08:31 AM
Yeah, sure. Except Pierce. Never. Gives. Up.

And anyway, Pierce isn't going to shoot for world domination, even after he gets Enmakki.

Yet.

I may get frustrated at being ignored somewhere along the line and turn him evil, though.

EDIT: I feel like clarifying, His little sister?

Sam is Pierce's older sister, actually.

EDIT: Yeah, I'm against using psychic attacks on Lexhur. They won't do anything, and two psychics probably won't be enough to convince it to make a Psychic Absorber. Let's just blow up some Absorbers.

Menarker

Well, I feel conflicted now.

If I had just saved Sexy Party for just one turn, I could have used it when Kirie came by. =P

Then again, being the battle hungry and ever easily furious Kimono, that probably saved Renny's life. ^^;

Then again, it would have been another powerful pokemon to boost with Sexy Party...

And as for the two of you, I don't make a very nice enemy, especially when trying to split Renny and Lola up. >_> You test my diminishing patience once too often and I'll just snap one day. <_<

EDIT: I'm kinda curious under what context Kirie meant when "Renny wouldn't even make a decent meal".

EDIT: QUESTIONS FOR AB!

Lunatone was defeated by Kirie, but it was only the 5th pokemon of Claydol. You never posted what was the 6th pokemon that got sent out in its place. Also, in total, there are only 9 enemies. The Arbok pokebrid only has one pokemon, so is he sent out too to fight? Same with the Claydol Pokebrid since he only has that 6th pokemon left.

Below is what I think is the current set up.
Muk (Poison) [Arbok Pokebrid Pokemon 6 of 6]
Moves: Gunk Shot / Toxic / Mud Bomb / Giga Drain
Ability: Stench

Arbok Pokebrid

Houndoom (Dark/Fire) [Sableye Pokebrid Pokemon 4 of 6]
Moves: Flamethrower / Crunch / Sunny Day / Solarbeam
Ability: Flash Fire

Absol (Dark) [Sableye Pokebrid Pokemon 5 of 6]
Moves: Psycho Cut / Me First / Razor Wind / Night Slash
Ability: Super Luck

Claydol 6th Pokemon

Claydol Pokebrid

Masquerain (Bug/Flying) [The Dark Pokemon 1 of 6]
Moves: Bug Buzz / Air Slash / Silver Wind / Stun Spore
Ability: Intimidate

Ninjask (Bug/Flying) [The Dark Pokemon 2 of 6]
Moves: X-Scissor / Toxic / Shadow Ball / Aerial Ace
Ability: Speed Boost

Wailord (Water) [The Light Pokemon 1 of 6]
Moves: Hydro Pump / Bounce / Dive / Water Spout
Ability: Water Veil

Milotic (Water) [The Light Pokemon 2 of 6]
Moves: Hydro Pump / Rain Dance / Blizzard / Dragon Pulse
Ability: Marvel Scale

Darkrai

Cresselia

Solrock's explosion is supposed to hit everyone on both side, so is Houndoom knocked out or woken up by the damage? (Hardly matters since I'm thinking of taking it out this turn anyhow)

AB, you said that status affliction like paralysis and freeze get boosted when they hit a foe they are super effective against. What about attacks like Seed Flare or Air Slash that have a high chance to flinch or reduce a pokemon's stat. Same thing or no?

Also, Maria seem to have not done any sort of healing. Maybe she could have revived one of the group's pokemon? Leafeon preferably.

EDIT: Anyhow, current plan, only using the info that I know at this point

Lola uses Heal Bell to restore all status conditions such as sleep. (Darkrai's ability would hurt sleeping pokemon). Shaymin and Latias are back in action
Harriette use water bullet on Houndoom again, this time boosted by the Rain Dance.
Evangaleen uses Magnezone's Zap Cannon on Milotic for 100% paralysis, STAB super effective damage with very high Special Attack. (And it's still weakened)
Matthias use Sunny Day. Water moves are weaken (Sucks for Cresselia's water attacks), some grass moves pumped and all fire move damage boosted.
Kirie's Entei use Eruption on both bug pokemon for 150 attack that get STAB and Sunny Day boosted. One of them is already weakened and they SHOULD have crappy defensive stats. ^^;
Shannon sends Roserade to use one turn Solarbeam on Claydol pokebrid for Super Effective STAB damage and very high special attack.
Moon sends Poliwrath. Uses Focus Blast on Absol who got low special def and health compared to Poliwrath's 120 power STAB super effective move.
Whitney to use Psychic on Muk
Dominic's Latias to use Mist Ball on Arbok Pokebrid for STAB Super effective damage and 50% chance of lowering his attack. Latias holding Soul Dew to make its Special Attack and Special Defence 50% higher, for a total of 165 Special Attack.
Renny's Shaymin to use Seed Flare on Wailord for Super Effective STAB damage. 40% chance of reducing it's special defence by 2 stages and 10% chance of flinching it. (Double that if AB says that those chances are doubled due to Wailord's weakness)

And I was just thinking how STUPID that Claydol trainer was. He could have used Wobbuffet's Safeguard ability to repeatably buff pokemon against status effects. But no!!!! :3:

:aaa:

Calling your GM (or his actions) stupid is typically a stupid move. :D

I hope Dante didn't mind that the post went ahead before he got the chance to post.

But yeah, current plan is to knock out all the other pokemons and pokebrids so there is less in total to fight or force the Light and Dark to send out their other pokemons to fill in the spaces, which means they'll likely all have the same typing and easier to knock out and deal with.

I can see the end of this RP. Impact and Pierce in a sword fight on board a runaway train speeding towards a cliff during a freak thunderstorm, fighting to the death over who gets to be the villain in the sequel and kill Renny.

Wait, what'm I saying? That will mostly likely happen after Renny's sidequest.

Impact: "Yeah, we're jus' goin' out for a quick smoke break."
Pierce: "Won't be long, we promise."
And then the winner returns to Renny's house will blood all over his clothes and sword and everyone's like "What the hell happened to you?"
Victor: "Oh, I just...fell down some stairs is all. By the way, the guy who isn't me isn't coming back. He resigned...forever. Muah ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaagh!"
Everybody Else: "...Oh-effin'-well."

And I am stupid. And Wobbuffet is stupid. I'm not putting his stupid ass in the RP again. No wonder Team Rocket kept on losing. Did they even use him once?

The Claydol Pokebrid and his sixth Pokemon aren't targets on the Ally Phase yet. Solrock and Lunatone already used his moves up. It's like how, during the Enemy Phase when an ally's Pokemon is defeated, that character doesn't just deploy another one until the next Ally Phase. They sort gain phase immunity and can't be attacked until their next phase.

As for Explosion, in my guide it says two foes and one ally.

And for Maria, you can go ahead and decide what she does as far as healing before the next Ally Phase kicks off. She's going to be acting more or less between turns, directed by you.

Now for that stuff about Seed Flare's attack versus Milotic, it's not quite as possible to hit 'em exactly the way you want to. Those Pokemon are going to be real bastards. Those are Pokemon Alphas. They're a lot like Rogue Pokemon (the ones that start as Rogues, not ones you have to fight off when you kill their trainer) and Renny's Pokemon after he becomes a Breeder. Though I don't think Renny will use drugs 'n' shit to make his the way The Dark and The Light made theirs.

EDIT 1: That's how Medical Specialists and Non-Combatant Item Users like Maria will work. You've got Maria and Lola on one side and Dormond and Rachel on the other. As the team captain (Renny and Impact or Pierce), you look at the results of the Enemy Phase and designate which items those characters use on what targets. This happens between that Enemy Phase and the next Ally Phase. For the Pokebrids, if they've taken an action on the Ally Phase before (like Lola's Sexy Party), they only get to use one item at that time. Same goes for when Maria uses Sexy Party (no, not really). Those items are then used before the next Ally Phase starts and then we proceed as normal.

Just my way of putting the power in the actual people.

1: In regards to Team Rocket, they did use him quite a few times, mostly in the same way that you tried to use him (Hoping they directly attacked Wobbuffet and hoping they guessed with move to use) although Wobbuffet was better as in he could actually step in front of his trainers or fellow pokemon in a manner similar to the move Follow Me. Almost none of the good guys have any poison pokemon or tried to use any sleep tactics, focusing more on brute force tactic.

The way that most "clever" people raise him is to raise him from his baby form Wyanut which gives a few moves like Encore which forces the pokemon to use one move only repeatably, taking out the guesswork from whether to use Counter or Mirror Reflect. Given his very VERY high hitpoints, he was almost sure to always knock out one pokemon or two before he went down.
Although, the reason he was banned in touraments was because of his ability Shadow Tag... You can't retreat with that. Can you imagine what happens if two Wobbuffets tried battling? Let me list the factors...
A: Neither one can retreat.
B: Trainers of Wobbuffet tend to ALWAYS give them leftovers which combos well with their very very high hitpoints.
C: Neither of them have offensive moves, even when raised as a baby.
E: Almost all their attacks got like 15 PP at least.
E: They got piss poor attack stat, so stuggle does so little damage, which would end up being regenerated by leftovers.

The end result is that the battle would never end unless a Wobbuffet got 30 criticals in a row or so. This changed with the new generations of games which made stuggle do a recoil damage of 25% of your total hitpoints, but still... it became a long metapod battle of sort.

Long story short, Wobbuffet is one of those pokemons who is a monster in 1 VS 1, but crappy in a setting like this. He doesn't seem that useful because most of the storyline involves you having to fight multiple trainers in a row to fight, whether you're traveling from town to town, or just having to endure an onslaught of Elite 4 pokemons. Wobbuffet is useful strictly for duels where there are fewer pokemons to deal with, such as the typical one shot online pokemon battles.

2: The Pokemon Alpha thing is interesting to note and sounds awesome that Renny's pokemon will be like that. And nope, no drugs and that sort of thing. ^^

3: Good to note about the Item user thing. I'll keep that in mind from now all.

EDIT: Edited my plan to fit AB's comments.

Maria heals up Lanturn to fighting shape. A plan is in the making!

Lola uses Heal Bell to restore all status conditions such as sleep. (Darkrai's ability would hurt sleeping pokemon). Shaymin and Latias are back in action
Harriette use water bullet on Houndoom again, this time boosted by the Rain Dance.
Evangaleen uses Luxray's Thunder on Milotic, STAB super effective damage. 100% accuracy due to Rain Dance. (And it's still weakened) Luxray Intimidate kicks in. All foes, including hopefully Darkrai and Cresselia have their attack drop by 1 stage.
Matthias use Sunny Day. Water moves are weaken (Sucks for Cresselia's water attacks), some grass moves pumped and all fire move damage boosted.
Kirie's Entei use Eruption on both bug pokemon for 150 attack that get STAB and Sunny Day boosted. One of them is already weakened and they SHOULD have crappy defensive stats. ^^;

It's all pretty much shit I came up with on the fly to make this whole system work better.

Actually, I pretty much come up with everything on the fly here. I guess I just come home, down a grape soda, and suddenly feel inspired. "Hey, let's make those Pokemon tougher to kill! Hey, let's make Lexhur's body impenetrable until some of his other parts are destroyed! Hey, let's have Kirie make her entrance! Hey, let's have Pierce discover a discarded (but in still great shape) Snorlax costume behind a shrubbery! Hey, let's have Impact and Pierce (while in the Snorlax costume) convince Lexhur to find a train track that ends at a cliff to speed down with both of them standing on him and fighting to the death with swords to become the antagonist in the sequel! Hey, whatever happened to Pokegeddon? Hey, where all the white womens at? Hey, how let da dawgs out?"

It's just ridiculous.

Yeah, kinda sucks that there's only so many colors. Evangaleen's color is Lemon Chiffon but unless you look really fuckin' close, you can't tell that it's colored at all, even when I type it in bold.

I guess I'll make Kirie Sea Green from now on. That way she'll be different from Whitney without using Shannon's color. Too many damn characters. At least when the DSS comes out, the number of characters will be limited to the point where only one character should end up using a text color each mission.

... I just had a weird thought of Lexhur starring as one of those trains in "Thomas The Tank Engine", the kid's TV show about trains. ^^;

Weird what I think about, no?

You guys on the other side are all weird, talking to trains as if they were alive. :3:

As soon as Lexhur reaches critical health after his Umbral Awakening, Pierce is doing a "little engine that could" joke.

And if you steal this from me, I swear to God, no amount of pleading or standing agreements or whatever will stop me from making you pay.

Who would stop you? Hell, I encourage it... except try not to actually kill him. You guys are just trying to convince him you're powerful enough to side with and earn his trust. He might not actually do an Umbral Awakening since that's suicidal, destroying one's own body or so.

Hey AB, are the Electric and Water Absorbers susceptible to Overload and Short, respectively?

Also, I forgot to link Nagarai's profile to Pierce's profile so you can check her stats for the purposes of damage calculation and whatnot. I did that now. And I also linked Enmakki's profile.

Anyway. Gem, I'm thinking once the Absorbers are back online, we should dedicate Nagarai and Allegion or Rachel to Overloading them. All of them. See, we know that Lexhur can use different elemental types. If we Overload the Fire and Dark Absorbers (and the Steel one too if somehow we don't destroy it this turn), we can neutralize some of his attack types, or at least make him waste some actions to destroy the Absorbers.

Y'know, Bard's post got me wondering. Do the Absorbers take the element they absorb? Like, is the Dragon Absorber Dragon-type and takes double damage from Dragon and Ice? Similarly, does the Steel Absorber take all of Steel's resistances? I'm not sure they do. Because it'd be rather stupid for the Dragon Absorber to take double damage from Dragon if it's purpose is specifically to soak up Dragon attacks.

I don't like it, but it'll become necessary, won't it? Yeah, sure. Let's dedicate Nagrai. Allegion too, for as long as it lasts, but I'm hoping it dies quickly. I want Applesauce.

And I'd imagine the Absorbers simply resist the type they're supposed to absorb, without weaknesses. Like Slayers, with just one armor type.

Oh, and after Impact's sidequest he could totally have a mental battle with Enmakki over Pierce's mind.

Yeah, I want Applesauce too. But I don't know how things will turn out. We may need Allegion to keep the Dragon Absorber locked down permanently with Thunder Crush. We don't really know how much it takes to Overload an Absorber.

Plus, Pierce told Dormond to heal Allegion.

Hm. If we make someone retreat, can we have Shizuka enter the battle as well as keep Allegion on the field? Of course, then there's the matter of who to pull back. Dormond, maybe? Or Kiyomi, but then we may want her Signature Sequence with Mika.

Oh, and after Impact's sidequest he could totally have a mental battle with Enmakki over Pierce's mind.

Oh, Enmakki doesn't really have mind control. It may be able to plant suggestions in people's heads without them knowing, but nothing outright. That'd be too easy.

Still, I imagine it could at least prevent Impact from controlling Pierce.

There isn't going to be any Electric and Water Absorbers, but if they were ever deployed, they'd still be affected so long as they couldn't absorb it.

The Absorbers aren't Pokemon, so they aren't affected by type advantages and whatnot.

And you can have someone else open a vacancy so Shizuka could fight directly.

Maybe I'll take the whole force-deployment system away. It just doesn't seem like a good idea anymore.

It makes sense, thematically... Though it really does decrease our versatility. I think it's allright for trainers, but maybe give the Kimonos the ability to keep their mons confined. That'd be easily explained by, y'know, kimonos are half-demons. And when the rest of us goes half-demon, we could abandon force-deploying altogether. Let's have... Dormond retreat. After he's used his uber-technique.

Still, I imagine it could at least prevent Impact from controlling Pierce.

Armored Bishoujo Presents...

Behind the Scenes At Pokemon Umbral

*Creator and Director of Pokemon Umbral, Armored Bishoujo discusses various changes to the scripts. Seriously, this is like what, the twentieth goddamned time she's changed it? This one seems to be about requests...very strong requests made by the main characters*
Armored Bishoujo: "Let's start with you, Lola. Pierce demands that your miniskirt be shortened by at least six inches."
Lola: "What the? There's plenty of upskirts with me."
Armored Bishoujo: "Yeah, but I think he wants an eternal upskirt."
Lola: "That's absurd. Six inches? I might as well not even wear one."
Armored Bishoujo: "I think that's the conclusion he wanted you to reach and comply with."
Lola: "What else does that pencil-prick want from me? He better not have requested anything regarding my top. We've already got it so damn tight you can see my pulse."
Armored Bishoujo: "Ummm...Pierce also demands that you carry around a large syringe."
Lola: "A large syringe? How large?"
Armored Bishoujo: "Looks like it's about five feet long with a foot and a half long in width."
Lola: "What the hell?"
Armored Bishoujo: "Seems like anime-style nurses usually have this giant syringe thing going on."
Lola: "Fine, we can do the syringe thing."
Armored Bishoujo: "Good, I'm glad you approve."
Lola: "I'll take that fucking syringe and shove it right up his-"

Armored Bishoujo: "Moving right along to you, Rayleen."
Rayleen: "Oh God, here it comes."
Armored Bishoujo: "Impact's request is for there to be some modifications to your prosthetic arm."
Rayleen: "Oh? That sounds surprisingly not terrible. What kind of modifications?"
Armored Bishoujo: "Let's see...advanced cushioning in the palm and on the inside of the digits that can secrete lubrication, an internal rotor of some kind that will make your hand vibrate and-"
Rayleen: "I goddamn knew it."
Armored Bishoujo: "An internal engine that will allow you move your hand up and down approximately 368.6 times per minute."
Rayleen: "Wow, he's gotta be really strong down there to-wait, what'm I saying!?"
Armored Bishoujo: "In the sequel, Impact will be able to make you do a...ahem, 'certain something' for him when he says the following phrase: time to go polish my Dragon Slave.'"
Rayleen: "...Y'know, when I first got this fist, I knew that Impact's face was one of the first places I wanted to put it."
Armored Bishoujo: "Anyways, on to-"
Rayleen: "Repeatedly."

Armored Bishoujo: "Anyways, on to you, Shannon."
Shannon: "I couldn't just have a quiet, relaxing romance with Moon, could I?"
Armored Bishoujo: "Charlotte requests that you put this on."
Shannon: "Clothes, huh-what the fuck is that!?"
Lola: "Damn, and I thought I exposed too much skin."
Armored Bishoujo: "This is a bondage slave outfit."
Shannon: "I thought Charlotte hated me. Why does she want me to be her lover?"
Armored Bishoujo: "Charlotte does hate you. Bondage slave outfits don't symbolize love except in only very extreme stretches of the term."
Shannon: "Either way, I'm pretty much fucked."
Armored Bishoujo: "Anyways, there's now an S&M chamber underneath the agency. Frequently...very frequently...in fact, I think Charlotte will stop going on missions just for this...anyways, Charlotte's going to chain you up."
Shannon: "And whip me senseless, right?"
Armored Bishoujo: "Mostly. Then on occassions...uhhh, with her dog Pokemon-"
Shannon: "Fuck it, I'm gone. I don't even want my final check."

Armored Bishoujo: "Let's see here...Whitney, you're up next for listening to some of this bullshit."
Whitney: "They love me, they really love me!"
Armored Bishoujo: "We've got this extra scene at the end of the sidequest where you and Lola get monumentally drunk and end up in Renny's bedroom, hot on each other, while you are Paradigm Shifted as a Gardevoir and Lola is Paradigm Shifted as a Lopunny."
Whitney: "This request comes from Renny?"
Armored Bishoujo: "Is that your final answer?"
Whitney: "I thought Pierce was the beast-banging freak."
Armored Bishoujo: "You were entirely human once."
Whitney: "Huh. Well, I guess I wouldn't really mind. Lola, what do you think?"
Lola: "I think I'm going to go find some Lopunny ears and go tell Kiyomi about this. I've seen Kiyomi checking you out, so she'd probably be all for it."
Armored Bishoujo: "Not for the second, third, fourth, and fifth parts."
Whitney: "Wait, why're we discussing this one? Renny is sixteen years old, isn't he?"
Armored Bishoujo: "It's his sidequest, he can do what he wants...rather, he can attempt to do what he wants."

Armored Bishoujo: "I think that's about it. Oh, one more thing."
Lola: "They're still not done with these absurd requests?"
Armored Bishoujo: "Just draw a strip of paper from this hat."
Lola: "This isn't gonna be good. Who wants to draw?"
Rayleen: "Hell, I'll do it. I'm supposed to be the bravest one here."
*Rayleen draws a strip of paper out of the offered hat*
Rayleen: "Huh?"
Whitney: "What's it say?"
Rayleen: "It says 'cotton candy'."
Armored Bishoujo: "Cotton candy, it is."
Rayleen: "Wait, what happens involving cotton candy!?"
Armored Bishoujo: "Here's a general rundown of the sidequest's final event. You girls talk about romance, you girls have a pillow fight, and then you have a sensual nekkid wrestling match."
Rayleen: "What's so sensual about wre-oh, I get it. The cotton candy!"
Lola: "So we're going to be wrestling in a large vat of cotton candy? That's kinda sticky. What other options were there?"
*Harliette, who's been silent all this time, starts feeling through the hat.*
Harliette: "Mud. Rose petals. $100 bills. A powerful aphrodisiac. Chicken broth? What, medical waste!?"
Armored Bishoujo: "Charlotte probably submitted that last one."

Hey Gem, here's a question: Do we want Dormond to Paradigm Shift and use Snap Trap straightaway, or do we have him spend the first couple of turns attacking and then Snap Trap?

The second one is more efficient, of course, but it means we gotta wait that much longer for Applesauce.

Geminex
05-06-2010, 08:43 PM
Humm.
Not a bad question, really. Once Shizuka starts using her techniques, the slot certainly won't be free again anytime soon.

But I think that, as boss battles go, this one'll be pretty quick. If we go with the second option, we'd get long-term efficiency, but we don't really need that if the battle's over by turn 4.
So yeah, if anything, let's go with the first option.

Though why have him open up with Snap Trap at all? Eliminate absorbers?

Dracorion
05-06-2010, 08:58 PM
Well, yeah.

We don't know how much damage the Absorbers can take, except that we probably Overkilled them just now.

We can either spend a few turns finding out their exact damage threshold, or take them out of the equation with moves like Thunder Crush and Snap Trap. The rest we can Overload.

Although I see your point. The only Absorbers we really need to remove are Dragon and perhaps Steel. We can just have Allegion spam Thunder Crush on them, or free up Allegion for one turn by having Dormond Snap Trap on one of them.

Geminex

That's pretty much what I meant. We don't need more than Allegion, and maybe Nagrai. We can save Dormond, keep him in reserve. If it looks like we really, really need to paralyze Lexhur for a turn or two, we can get him out of reserve. Maybe we can persuade AB that Snap Trap+Thunder Crush+Some other electric attack=enough to stop Lexhur for a turn.

So, really, all snap trap/thunder crush are good for is cock-blocking his Absorbers? Allright.

And why would be smuggle penis? That raises so many questions. What motivation would we have? Smuggling is the act of bringing something across a border, usually to sell it on the other end. So why would there be a market for penis across the border? Would a country have outlawed penis? Why would they do that? And besides, where would we get them? How would we smuggle them?

^^' Back from work. Had some weird thoughts about the pokemon world and how it works.

Do people even eat eggs like we do? I mean, it looks like pokemon lay eggs one at a time (or at least in games although the anime says otherwise for some species...) I know that some pokemons are eaten, like Farfetch'd which has nearly been eaten to extinction and Slowpoke which regrows its tail and it's considered a delicacy.

And I read from Bulbapedia that pokemon apparently believe in re-incarnation. Pokemon eat and hunt each other, but they aren't wasteful when they hunt, so that when the bones are picked clean of meat and the bones are left to the earth where their species live, it sparks a rein-carnation cycle or something. (Explaining the rarity of Farfetch'd if the bones are never returned to their natural resting place but thrown in the trash-bin of some fancy french resturants.)

^^; The above then led me to thinking of a dirty joke.. that I might have Dominic say as a result of being drunk...

"What is the unluckiest thing in the world?"
*Random guesses or silence*
"An egg! A chicken (Blaziken) egg to be exact. It is only laid once, only eaten once, comes in a box with 11 other eggs, takes 11 minutes to get hard and the only thing to sit on its face is its mom!"

*Half expect Pierce's Blaziken to pop out of the pokeball in fury*

I'm working on the post now. Well, I've been working on it for a little while.

Anyways, as for the Back Lawn, I'm ending the action halfway through the Ally Phase.

Basically, what happened was that some but not all of the characters were used to destroy the Dragon and Steel Absorbers. I didn't think you wanted to bother with the others, so I had Rachel drop Magnet Crush at that point and Lexhur's body is now opened up in the middle of the Ally Phase. Impact, Charlotte, Pierce, Nagarai, and Buck still have their actions available.

If you didn't want it that way, I'll change it according to how you really want it, no problem.

Almost all the characters have been compared using Renny as the measuring scale, measure pokemon's personality by how they would react if Renny hugged them, numberous gags about killing him or otherwise negating him, seducing his mom with a Snorlax suit, a huge wildfire argument sparking from him being selected as leader by Rayleen and probably a bunch of other stuff too.

^^ This character ranks up to one of my most memorable characters ever made in an RP, when compared to Ark from the Final Fantasy RP who is min-maxed to a laughable degree, Mero from Magical Fracas who apparently caused quite a stir from Phil and Teal Mage and a few others you guys would not know of from my past RP experiences. :3

Hey, y'guys wanna do a mission I just came up with?

I'll start creating some optional missions that you can just go "hey, I like that idea, let's do that one!" and we can do them in between plot missions. If we accept them, I'll use them to accomplish some of the plot-related things I can't seem to fit in yet, like certain Ruin General fights and whatnot.

Here's some of these Optional Missions:

Strange Journey - The main characters live their fantasies in some nice dream world, but it isn't long before the happy dream turns into a horrifying nightmare. And what the hell're you all doing in the same dream? And how come you can't wake up?

Rescue the Hamlet! - A quiet little hamlet of people who live in tandem with Pokemon and nature comes under attack by a militant group of anti-Pokemon activists new to the region and their manmade monsters, the Evolith.

Battle In the Arena! - Originally set to be Mission 4 (to bring the beach mission closer and for you guys to decide when you really want to fight each other), this mission allows you guys to flex your fury against each other. We'll discuss this mission beforehand to decide stuff like rules in battle to get the proper balance.

Those are neat. ^^

"Strange Journey" seems the best to me by a long shot, followed somewhat by "Battle in the Arena" perhaps (although I got a bit of an unfair advantage in that I already got my 6th pokemon with legendary stats). Rescue the Hamlet... doesn't seem that interesting and making up yet another monster type seems odd.

Plus we would FINALLY see a bit into Matthias' mind if we saw his dreams (or how he interacts in the dream world). Learn more about his character. :3:

One thing I would like to see more of, maybe in a future mission? I wanna see a bit more of exploration or puzzle-solving stuff like in the first mission. We had to decide tactically how to attack the bank to save hostages, dealing with overwhelming numbers, how not to get hit by snipers, deal with a time limit, that sort of thing. It rewarded the use of HMs (I used Rock Climb to ambush the rooftop guys!) and it was great discussion both OOC and IC. Would be neat if we had the chance to do underwater missions or something to use those HMs. Maybe a ship with ambassadors is hijacked or hit a reef and we gotta save them, defuse a bad situation and all that. Also divide up pokemon movesets between combat moves and utility moves like Dig or Teleport or other such moves and other such things.

Basically, it was quite FUN when we acted like a swat team and not just a rag-tag team of mercenaries to save the world. (Although that's awesome too.) Not saying we got to do it all the time, but once or twice more would be neat!

^^ That's ok. Renny has gotten to be QUITE the iconic character.

Well, every character's iconic, really. And I think you just miiiight be overestimating Renny's importance. There's lots of potential examples of why Renny's iconic, but, hell, I could make an equally convincing argument for Impact, Pierce, Charlotte, even Matt!
So yeah. This RP has 5 characters. They're all iconic. Renny's nothing special.

Edit:
And I like all of those, really. Strange Journey or Rescue the Hamlet would let me do a lot with Impact. Arena battle? If we still get a chance to PvP during the party, there'll be no need for that.
Also, I don't think there actually would have been sniper fire in the first mission.

Gem? Your PM box is fully filled up and I can't send you any PMs due to that.

FIX IT!

And I said iconic, not important. Renny isn't exactly a driving force in the plot, or at least not yet, at least compared to Pierce's backstory which may end up being related to Faynoc or Impact's future political plans which may spell doom for us all. He just gets mentioned a WHOLE LOT for a whole variety of topics. To the point that even I accidently think of myself as Renny, not Menarker. :3:
I personally just find it amusing, but it's not anything to be proud about aside from making me smile a little. ^^
Renny is like the moogle or chocobo on a Final Fantasy box. Everyone thinks and knows of them whenever Final Fantasy is brought up, but it isn't always a key factor.

Anyhow, I'm off to bed. Gem, I hope your PM box is tidied up a little so I can send you my messages soon! :3:

My inbox has been tidied. Stupid 100-pm limit. Now let us continue our conversation regarding puppies and candy and NO WORLD DOMINATION AT ALL, NOPE.

And fair enough. Iconic, if not important.
Though my competitive side still wants to compare Impact's iconicness to Renny's and come out ahead. Ah well. Perhaps after his side-quest.

God, my connection to this site is really slow, for whatever reason. I'll have that post finished shortly. Jus' gotta decide enemy actions for the Front Lawn now that they're recovered from their losses.

(Explaining the rarity of Farfetch'd if the bones are never returned to their natural resting place but thrown in the trash-bin of some fancy french resturants.)

Oh God.

I'm imagining a freaky Farfetch'd mutant being born out of a trash bin.

I'm for Strange Journey and Battle Arena.

AB, I can't believe you made the "over nine-thousand" joke. You should burn in hell for that.

Okay, I'm not sure what we should hit. The Flamethrower obviously deals Fire damage, so we should ignore it. I'm guessing the Artillery Cannon deals Steel type damage, or maybe Fighting (I mean, if a rifle can do it...). I say we concentrate on one of the Recoilless Cannons and one of the Missile Racks.

Renny isn't exactly a driving force in the plot, or at least not yet, at least compared to Pierce's backstory which may end up being related to Faynoc

Faynoc is Pierce's father!

Geminex

I'd imagine that it's the recoilless cannons that deal fighting damage... Perhaps the artillery can hit multiple targets? But considering the amount of firepower we have available, we probably wouldn't manage to take out the artillery. Focus fire on the port recoilless cannon.

And I demand that in some later mission we all get to ride on Lexhur while barreling through a swath of helpless foes, calling out targets for him. In fact, can we do mission three that way? Break up the riot by killing everyone?

Oh, and I agree with the point Menarker made regarding mission set-up. A bit more freedom might be fun. We're pretty much limiting ourselves to what you could do in the game, but this doesn't have to use game logic. Rules, yes, but not logic.

So, do I get next turn?

Dracorion

I like to think of this turn as a continuation of last turn, since we're really just doing the attacks that would've gone to the Absorbers. So I get this turn.

And you get next turn, so you get to take credit for getting Shizuka into the fight.

AB: Is Kirie's weapon typeless like Shizuka's katana or just normal? I did my post assuming that it was normal, and thus used Foresight on both ghost pokemons, but Kirie is capable of hitting Sableye and Spiritomb without Foresight's help, I'll edit the post so that Matthias and Lola can do something better with their time.

We've just found out that Geminex and Menarker have been exchanging PMs, and we all know nothing good can come of that and most likely we're all screwed.

So, as punishment, I demand that AB ignore the next ten (serious) requests and questions to come from either of them.

Don't worry Gem, you can just tell me your requests and I'll post 'em as mine. Y'know, if I want to.

Also, Gem, a couple of suggestions: I don't think you should use Shizuka's Applesauce straight away. You might want to save it for Lexhur's main body, the radiator, or whichever one of it's parts deals the most damage.

And don't bother using Allegion's Thunder Crush next turn. Fire and Dark aren't any of our attacking types. I'm pretty sure it'll take high-power Electric moves like Thunder to Overload the Absorbers.

Of course, you could just put Allegion and Nagarai to use Zap Cannon and Thunder on the Fire and Dark Absorbers, then.

I'd really like to do the mission that way, mainly because it's so goddamned epic, but we really need for it to make sense.

First point, sure Lexhur will become a major help, but there's a huge difference between trusting characters like Shannon to work alongside you immediately following the mission where she was an enemy and trusting a goddamn train engine on tank treads who is a fucking Ruin General to work with us without being a little nervous about it.

Secondly, Mission 3 is going to be a rather large scale religious gathering breaking down into a riot. Innocent bystanders 'n' shit and chaos will be all over the place.

Then here comes Impact and Pierce on the PATCAmobile, shelling artillery on the screaming crowd and grinding people under its massive tank treads. Faynoc freaks and Paradigm Shifts into a Lugia and takes flight and tries to flee, which leads to a high speed chase through the city. Cars and people are getting knocked aside or crushed as you two and Lexhur destroy numerous buildings and other shit trying to hit Faynoc until it ends in an epic battle with his personal bodyguard Mio when she jumps onto the train.

So, after Renny's sidequest, we've gotta focus on two problems with that. First, we've gotta get Rayleen to okay that notion.

...You may wanna bring some of that wine from Renny's house. Actually, a lot of that wine. Then maybe...

Impact: "So can we take Lexhur with us to go kick the shit out of Faynoc?"
Rayleen: "I'm the King of France!"
Impact: "So I can take that as a yes?"
Rayleen: "Oh, Pierce! I want your cock!"
Pierce: "Well, I'd give you Blaziken but I think I'm going to really need him this time."
Impact: "That's not what she means."
Rayleen: "I want my baby back baby back baby back baby back baby back ribs..."
Impact: "Huh. I guess that is what she means."

Secondly, and more importantly, we've gotta make certain there won't be innocents who can die in horrible, horrible death because of your actions. In other words, if somebody else were to sign some sort of contract...

Pierce: "Renny, we need to talk about something."
Renny: "Not right now, Pierce. My Mollesk's Pokeball is missing."
Pierce: "Uhh, Renny. Look over here."
Renny: "Oh my god! Impact, get that gun away from Mollesk's head!"
Pierce: "I'll call 'im off...just as soon as you sign this little piece of paper."
Renny: "Sign? Wait, what is this?"
Impact: *starts to squeeze the trigger*
Renny: "Wah! No, please! I'll sign it, I'll sign it!"
*Renny signs the form and Pierce takes it.*
Pierce: "This all seems to be in order. Impact."
Impact: "Got it."
*Impact shoots Mollesk dead and then shoots Renny dead.*
Renny: "Ugh...tell Lola...that I stole a pair of her lacey panties..."
Pierce: "Impact, you were supposed to release Mollesk."
Impact: "Your definition of 'release' must differ wildly from mine."
Pierce: "Why'd you kill Renny?"
Impact: "Why do you fucking think?"
Pierce: "Yeah, that was pretty rheutorical, wasn't it? Well, let's go get Lexhur and head on out. Oh, do you think we can take a few detours?"
Impact: "Eh, why not."

*At Renny's house*

Pierce: "Oh, fuck!"
Impact: "What is it, this time?"
Pierce: "I came here to take those panties Renny stole from Lola for myself, but then I just remembered that Renny's MILF is here and I forgot the Snorlax costume."
Impact: "Forget about her, man. We've got fucking Lexhur. We're gonna be hookin' bitches up like Voltron 'n' shit."
Pierce: "I guess."

*At a McPoke's Drive-Thru*

Gardevoir: "Welcome to McPoke's! Could I interest you in a-what the fuck is that thing!?"
Impact: "I want some waffle fries for free, bitch!"
*They drive off, laughing maniacally*
Manager Alphonsine: "Who the devil were they?"
Gardevoir: "What I'm more concerned about is how they somehow got underneath those eight 'n' a half foot tall clearings on that monster. Wait, how did they even get into the drive-thru lane to begin with?"

Armored Bishoujo: "Then it more or less becomes like the Night at the Roxberry where Impact and Pierce are riding along, banging their heads to 'What Is Love?' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsCXZczTQXo) by Haddaway."

Is that all that stands between us and ridin' on Lexhur? That's easy! Let's get to work, Gem! You grab Mollesk, I'll get the wine.

Also, AB, fair warning about Strange Journey: you're talking about putting everyone in a dream world, and Enmakki owns dreams. It'd most likely manipulate Pierce's dream into it's version of Pierce's perfect dream world. And perhaps also screw with Impact a bit, but that's something I have to talk about with Impact.

Y'know, unless whatever puts us in the dream world is stronger than Enmakki.

Astral Harmony

The Psychic Ruin General, Marionata? Yeah, I think she's more powerful than Enmekki.

As for Menarker's question, Kirie's Weapon Shifting allows her to turn that oversized sword into almost any other kind of weapon. Thus, chances are she can turn that weapon into something that deals type damage, or at least something that can hit ghost types.

Experiment with Kirie. Like all of the other Kimonos, she's got a lot of potential in the right person's hands.

AB: Regarding Kirie's attack, I got a question regarding her special ability.

Arsenal Assault: A highly destructive flurry of assaults combined with Weapon Shift, Kirie unleashes all hell on random unworthy opponents, dealing random, but usually good damage to all enemy targets. Let it burn, Kirie. Let it burn.

Does this mean she's constantly changing weapon types and thus will hit all foes that have a weakpoint for Super Effective STAB damage?

Astral Harmony
05-07-2010, 04:10 PM
It's probably be a lotta bit 'o' both. I'm gonna get back at all you assholes for filling discussion threads. And Marionata will carry out your death sentence. Just like Phantomere, Marionata is a little...over the top.

As for Kirie, super effective but no STAB. She has no type to do STAB. But with her angel-fueled strength, she doesn't really need STAB.

Well, all the foes my group is fighting now has a weakpoint (unless the Pokebrid's Paradigm Shift removed that) so Kirie can switch to Fighting, Ground, Dark, Electric or whatever to get the job done. I'll ASSUMING that Kirie knows her pokemon elemental table so she won't do something like use Fire on a water pokemon.

Unless you want me to actively select the elements yourself? I figured that I would give you the creative freedom to choose the weapons for style. Maybe she'll harpoon a water pokemon with something like a Thunder Javelin, then Steel Hammer crush Amalado and what not.

That's a biiiiiiig if. I was under the impression that Kirie's a bit of a meathead.

With regards to the Love Hotel mission, can I at least use Enmakki to make Pierce aware of the fact that something is terribly wrong and he's sharing a dream with everyone? Maybe even reveal that it's a Ruin General doing it. Because, see, I'm trying to sell this whole thing about Enmakki being a powerful telepath, and screwin' up a Ruin General's plans a little bit is a great way to show that.

Well, no one in the group really has any reason to know what her abilities are! I can't really justify Renny shouting for her to change her weapon element if he doesn't even know her weapon can shift. :3:

Besides, she fights a hell of a lot, so she probably knows the element tables if she's used to switching weapons, if not memorize hundreds of pokemon moves.

Odd. I thought in Tsubasa's case, it was because she joined up just when the battle was over and the group had time in between battle to discuss.

I'll edit the post a bit and AB can work the very specific details out.

EDIT: There. Put the desired elements that each foe is hit with in the attack result summary. AB can decide whether Kirie is smart enough to know which one to use, or if Renny finds out in the middle of her attacks and he coachs her on the elements or whatever.

Sorry for not getting back sooner. I had left for work.

Anyhow, I was slightly under a different impression since Tsubasa's Signature technique was able to hit multiple zombies (killing 2 and injuring 4) during the fight with Phantomere. Granted, it was a somewhat different technique which injured all those that attacked physically, but it kinda fits in the same vein since they both promise large numbers of victims.

Also, the technique is random itself based on the description. I just posted what would be the ideal situation. AB can decide if it had the full effect or what not. :3 If it hits everyone, sweet! If not, AB can decide who it hits, or can ask me to clarify it further.

Meh. I'd still submit to the more recent evidence that points otherwise. And Tsubasa's Wire Web was entirely different from Kirie's. In fact, I'm pretty sure the only thing they have in common is that they hurt baddies, but they go about it in different ways.

Also, the technique is random itself based on the description. I just posted what would be the ideal situation. AB can decide if it had the full effect or what not. :3 If it hits everyone, sweet! If not, AB can decide who it hits, or can ask me to clarify it further.

Arsenal Assault's description says it "usually deals good damage to all targets". We know the "all targets" part can't be true and it only just hits three targets. It probably just hits three random (if perhaps adjacent) targets for random damage.
