"Destiny. Fate. Dreams. These unstoppable ideals are held deep in the heart of man. As long as there are those that seek freedom in this life, these things will not vanish from the earth"
Your crew has recently set sail on the Grand Line, the rapidly shifting and extreme weather as you travel from reverse mountain giving you your first taste of the dangers you must face. Finally a day later weather had stablized for the moment and you are on your way to your first island. Only minor damage to your ship and is easily repaired. Your ship currently has a million beri worth of treasure and full stock of food and other supplies.
However peace is a rare commodity on the Grand Line and you can spot three specks on the horizon. Slowly growing closer, and soon making it clear what they are. Pirate ships.

Dorian Soro looked out on the Grand Line from his perch on the bow of the ship. He spun around on his heel, throwing his hair back and tying his trademark bandanna down over head. With a devilish smile, he drew his cutlass, pointing it behind him to the approaching ships and hollering at the top of his lungs.
" ALLRIGHT MEN! IT LOOKS TO ME THAT WE'VE GOT SOME TROUBLE HEADED OUR WAY!......
He paused mid-order and looked back over his shoulder again. He wrinkled his nose and looked again to his crew.
"It's entirely possible that they are not here to challenge us, but are instead well-wishers here to see us off on our journey. BE THAT AS IT MAY, WE WOULDN'T WANT ANYONE TO GET THE IDEA! THAT THE LEGENDARY RED-BAND PIRATES ARE ANYTHING BUT ROUGH AND READY TO TUSSLE WITH ANYTHING THROWN AT THEM! So, keeping that in mind, ALL HANDS ON DECK!

Cyrano slowly trod the ship steadily, undisturbed by the sway and movements upon the waves. His sword was held in one hand, slung behind his back.
"What do you wish? Ward them off? Force their surrender? Loot them? Or send them to the bottom of the sea?"
The shark-man's face was mildly content, neither of the choices being more or less appealing, except for perhaps looting them.

"Oi! Captain, they've got 7 deckhands each from wha' I'm seeing here!"
Gunther looked at the flags. Having read the news, he wanted to focus on which crews might be their next target. He sneezed. His cold from the crazy weather probably wasn't going to help him too much but he'll be damned if he wore another shirt again. The story was too horrifying.
"And captain, for the last time, "The Legendary Pirates ARE Rough and Ready to Tussle! Get it right this time! "

Rugnar stood on the deck unmoving. One of the lovely things about his devil fruit power is he could stay still on moving ships, sure his body could sway about but his feet never moved. It was a silly thing to do, but Rugnar is a silly man sometimes. He did notice the ship in the distance and grinned.
"What do you wish? Ward them off? Force their surrender? Loot them? Or send them to the bottom of the sea?" Cyrano asked out loud.
Rugnar looked at the strange fishman and gave his head a shake. Ward them off and Not Loot them? Blasphemy!
"What are ya? Daft man! They be having treasure on board, We loot them then send em to the bottom of the sea! Never let treasure go to waste!"
Rugnar released his feet from the floor board and headed out to look at the ships.
"It's only 3 of em anyways, we can take em!"
If there was anything Rugnar was, Being confident topped his list. He Grinned up at the fish guy. This will be fun and he was just picturing all the loot he could take from the hold's of those ships.

Cyrano stared at Rugnar with an understanding but stern expression. To an average pirate, not looting an opposing ship was a worthless suggestion. But to him, it didn't matter where they got the loot as long as he got his share. Whether the captain wanted to attack that particular group was another matter. The money did had to come from somewhere, but not particularly from this ship.
I'm a fishman. I could swim under their ship, likely without them knowing. Punch several holes under their ship, we watch them all sink and drown, and I swim back and forth, carrying the loot back to the ship. No fight, no risk. If the captain wants to keep them alive though for ransom, interrogation, slavery or any other reason, then we'll have to use a different approach. I'm just asking how he'll want to approach this situation. It makes little difference to me as long as I get my share.
He however returned Ragnar's grin with a wry smirk. His own sword arm was ready for action and at least the crew seemed confident in their success.

Rugnar stared at Cyrano with the look of a kid who just had someone take away their favourite toy. What was wrong with this guy, did he really think he could take all the fun away from everyone? Honestly, some people are just a bunch of spoil sports.
"Hey now, Ya look here ya Crazy fishman! Ya don't be doin things like that, half the fun of looting is getting the treasure yerself. If you go out there and do that then ye'll be ruinin all the fun fer the rest of us!" Rugnar practically shouted at the fishman.
He then pointed at the ships.
"Ye'd also totally ruin the fun of combat fer the rest of us! Yer trying to steal all the glory fer yerself aren't ya? Rugnar continued. He was starting to get heated at the thought of not being able to loot the ships, or get to smack people around.

Cyrano shrugged.
"If you feel that badly about it, I could just chop off their rudders, so they can't steer. Then we can attack them one by one at our leisure without being swarmed or them escaping."

Gunther sneezed. Oi! What makes them evil? They might just be on their way to somewhere else. Or maybe they heard about us! They heard about the great aim of the greatest sniper in the world and they won't get too close...
Gunther's knees were shaking in the crows nest. He didn't like fighting hand to hand, but could do it if need be. Give him a few long range shots, he'd make it. He could only hope that they'd keep their distance.

Down below Vind had been doing a bit of cleaning. After all a dirty cooking environment was bad for both health and hedonism, good food being the type of thing made in a nearly sterile environment. He did the best he could at any rate, trying to make everything in his domain sparkle and shine so that when he did start cooking he wouldn't have to even think about it. Course everything came to a terribly screeching halt when he heard the grand yell of the captain screaming,
ALL HANDS ON DECK!
He hurriedly tried to put his cleaning supplies in their rightful place before he took off for the ladderwell up to the main deck. He caught the news late, but from what he pieced together they had seen a couple ships and were ready to do all the typical pirating business and as he was he tried to join in on the awkward moment,
"Ah-well a boarding sounds the best option if we can pull it off. We can see their crew, kill the useless, abduct what we need, and if we like the ship we can even transfer off to that one. Though that is a one at a time sort of thing, if we go with Mister Cyrano and cut the rudders of the other two they won't be able to maneuver in to aid the best one...but that is just this humble cook's opinion."
He smiled warmly, maybe a bit too warmly for someone who just volunteered the kind of plan he just did.

(assuming you are fine with letting the ship get close as long as they dont attack)
The ships didn't fire a shot and pulled up along side their own. One on each side and the third in the back. Could now easily tell each ship has seen alot of damage and repair, as if it hasn't seen a proper dock in months. Planks from the two ships were lowered and a total of 15 men boarded. Their captain wore a white great coat, with short grey hair and long hairs from his face that resembled whiskers. "Greetings, I am the captain of the white cat pirates. We've unfortunately had some difficulty navigating these waters and our supplies are running low."
Suddenly you hear the sound of guns cocking and swords being unsheathed. About 50 men total from the three ships all having their sights trained on your small ship. "So if you would please hand over all of your supplies, we'll be on our way". The captain was almost disturbingly relaxed, making it hard to read him. But clear he was confident in the advantage he had with his superior numbers.

Almost as if his plan had been spirited away to the other side they found themselves boarded from every side. Guns trained on their persons, swords drawn, and at risk for all their supplies to be taken. For Vind the feeling of the situation was perhaps far more dire than most anyone else. For if they took their supplies he would have no cleaning items, no food to prepare, no proper water to cook with, no deliciousness at all. Well they would have to trample over his dead body before he allowed them to raid his kitchen! He looked up at Dorian with a kind sort of grin on his face,
"Permission to scream sir?"
He was breathing in anyway, because no matter what he knew this crew to be a little above giving in even when the numbers were against them. Because they were stupid, prideful, and desperate for a reputation. So to hell with the good sense, a pirate life was made on bad decisions.

From the crow's nest, nothing was heard. Gunther's rifle was drawn, going for the man to the Captain's right side.
Hmmm... 50:1 odds. It was just the type of thing Gunther felt he needed. He calculated the people he would need to take out. He heard something about the White Cat crew and how they were fast. Judging from the crow's nest view, he could see them all.
Movement caught his eye from the Pirate crews' ships in tandem. Judging the wind, Gunther fired three times in quick succession, taking out the enemy sharpshooters on the ship. He barely heard the voices about supplies, having a ping register by his left ear.
Darnit, that was really lucky. He found the source of the noise, taking aim as he went for ammo in his bag for the next salvo.

Rugnar chucked as he saw the ships getting ready to board up with them. One of them would need to turn in order successfully board them so he had a plan.
"Ah, ye see that there wheel mate" Rugnar said to Cyrano as the ship neared them "I bet I can hit the wheel from 'ere, I say 100 Beli"
Before he could actually shake on it though, Rugnar created 2 larger Sticky Bomb's in his hands. Took aim and tossed it at the wheel. His aim was good and it smacked against the wheel and exploded, sending chucks with enough force around to knocked down anyone unlucky enough not to dodge and pin em to the ground with glue. He could only hope it actually stops the wheel from turning.
"Haha! Right on Target eh!" He shouted, then frowned when he realized he forgot to actually shake on the deal. He then looked around for the next thing to throw his Sticky Bomb at.

The shark's eyes scowled as they were boarded. He made it a point never to trust unfamiliar ships, for even the weak and infirm could do enough damage with numbers and guns. This unwelcome and easily avoidable stand-off already earned the captain of this crew a mental demerit in his mind. However, a contract is a contract.
Cyrano powerful sleek build darted past the men that boarded the ship, holding his massive sword up front so its wide and blunt edge would shield against any frontal bullets as he jumped explosively from the ship to one of the opposing ships. Raising his powerful sword in the air, the fishman slammed the blade viciously against the deck, intent on smashing the entire deck floor to piece, as the bodies would fall through into the next level. With them forced out of sight from his own crew, and their balance destroyed, he would simply cleave through them all and repeat for each ship.

He shook his head
"Hey now, fishboy, let's wait and see what they do, eh? no need to jump the gun, right?"
"And captain, for the last time, "The Legendary Pirates ARE Rough and Ready to Tussle! Get it right this time! "
Pulling out his pistol, he aimed it to the crows nest and growled
"ARR boy! don't correct your captain, I said what I meant and I meant what I said, if'n we're not prepared, they'll think we're layabouts, and I won't have anyone thinking anything but the best of me!"
As the Ships boarded his own, he looked to the Approaching captain.
"Greetings, I am the captain of the white cat pirates. We've unfortunately had some difficulty navigating these waters and our supplies are running low."
"Yes, and I'm the Infamous Red-Band Dorian Sorro, what can we be doin for ye?"

Dorian shook his head, then steadied his pistol torwards the be-whiskered captain
"Well that's too bad, seeing as all we've got are blades, bullets and beatings, but I'm a generous man so I'd be happy to share!"
Dorian's feet left the deck just as he squeezed his trigger, sending him flying backwards and onto the ship on the opposite side, he twisted in the air, landing foot-first on an enemy pirate's chest, and jumping high into the air, yelling out his orders.
"ALL RIGHT MEN, TAKE EM FOR ALL THEY'RE WORTH! JUST LEAVE THREE OF EM ALIVE TO TELL THE TALE!"

They all seemed to be coming to the ship now. Which was bad. Not exactly for the crew, they already knew what was happening, for them. He pulled a big breath in and started blasting them off the ship in crowds. Down in the water they weren't much of a threat, and for the most part if they tried to be they would have a fishman to tear them apart. Which really is quite nice. He wondered if the crew was against cannibalism...they probably were...well except the ones that weren't human. He might just save some anyway.
He took in another deep breath and decided to give them some psychological damage to go with all the physical damage they were receiving by sending out a massively amplified version of his personal laugh,
"Veheheheheh!"
It was his favorite thing. It rang out in waves, not big enough to knock anyone over, but you felt it in your whole body. And along with him pulling out both his rapier and his flintlock it was quite an image. He just hoped the men were prone to mutiny.

The doors from below deck slammed open once again. "Geeze, what's all this racket? It's like there's a war going... on..." Carapi stopped rubbing his neck. "Great, just what I want to wake up to."
Some cannon fodder pirate charged, cutlass leveled to run Carapi through. With a practiced grace, Carapi tucked one arm under the man's sword, one behind his neck, and swung the man head first into the deck. "Pirate Smashing Sacred Fist: Butt Hammer!" Carapi's fist came down between the man's legs, smashing him through the deck. "Oh, whoops." Carapi called out to Dorian, "Sorry! It's a reflex!"
"Just great, now he'll probably want me to fix that..." Carapi added to himself while taking a stance near the doors to go below deck. He yelled out to the attackers, "Don't attack me; I'm just a doctor," but his tone didn't sound as non-threatening as he'd hoped.

Sending the man tumbling to the ground and pinning him. Chunks scattered and slammed into a half dozen others sending them to the ground and pinning them there. He drew his Sabre.
"Come ye darn fools ye'll get whats yours!" Rugner shouted at them. "Ye got no way of surviving against the mighty Red-Band Pirates"
He formed his Gum bullets and let rip into a charging rank smacking into the leading men knocking a few of them down. He then prepared to meet the charge with his Sabre all while forming another Sticky Bomb in his hand. God how he loved his abilities!

Right as the captain was looking at the crow's nest, Gunther shot the guy right next to the captain. The fly buzzing around the captain's neck fell victim to the shot as the guy with the cutlass aiming for the captain's head also fell over.
"Right captain. Now will you watch your back or is that my job too? Me, the greatest sniper in the world?" Of course, the idiot that decided to push the men onto their small ship was the first one to fall over from a shot by Gunther's custom rifle. He liked egging the captain, because then it kept his fear from being too much. Not to mention the captain had a habit of being airheaded. Speaking of which
Hey, 200 beris says I can hit the gunpowder on the farthest ship, who's up for the challenge!? Gunther yelled, hoping to wake up even the laziest among their crew, took aim as he fiddled around with his blowtorch.

As soon as Gunther heard sound, he took out the source. If it wasn't his own crew's voice, they usually went down before they finished their sentence. Gunther sighed. They were too weak to really fight and they acted as if they had lost their soul.
I doubt they would last a week if not for their desperation as another little pirate was lost to the custom rifle, Gunther found his blowtorch for his ever crazier shot of the day.
The flaming bullet pinged around on one of the ships, causing parts to burst into flames as it penetrated. Eventually it found the gunpowder, causing damage to the hull of the ship and forcing the ship's exterior to blow up on the other side of the Red Band's ship. Gunther didn't believe it would hit their side and thanked the lucky stars that wasn't happening now.

Cyrano looked up to see several pirates swinging to the ship. He scowled at his current position away from the rest of his team-mates.
"Uggh... These ones are a waste of my time. I can come back from them later."
Selecting a particular target that was in mid-swing boarding the ship, he rocketed from his standing point and spun his body with the blade like an improvised buzzsaw. The momentum of the impact rocketed him toward to his allies' ship still spinning as he hit another soldier and bounced against another, soaring over two others before hitting a third and recoiling to ones he skipped over. Each thud of his blade landed heavily against their bodies, causing large wounds and shuddering sensations from the heavy impact as Cyrano continued to erractically thump numberous pirates in a short period of time.

Mikhail shifted uncomfortably at the silence that answered him, as his crewmates probably realized he'd been standing there doing nothing for the length of the battle.

"I bet he'd go brilliantly with a side of mashed potatoes." Mik chimed in helpfully. He disliked this White Cat Pirate's attitude. Mikhail didn't particularly care for kicking a man while he was down, but this guy was downright annoying. Besides, technically Mikhail wasn't the one doing the kicking. Verbal abuse didn't count.
"Wait till done with em, and then you can have your fun"
Mik grinned, offering his captain a salute.
"Aye sir!" he said. "That'll suit me just fine."

What a haul! A ratchet, a wrench a few nuts and bolts and a new weapon to be made. The crew would be evermore dangerous and quite frankly, the Grand Line didn't seem so tough. Of course, his bravado only went so far as his head since he couldn't stop sneezing or shaking his fists.
The captain laughed at the navigator. "your calibur? haha you cant even navigate the deck of your ship"
Luckily Gunther was near. He sneezed leaving something on his nose. He rubbed part of it on the captain's sleeve. Gah! This cold, it really sucks. But I can get over this. You? You are nothing more than a spineless git thinking he was a captain
"ARR! NOBODY insults my crewman besides me!"
Which was as good a point as any to kick the capain overboard.
Aww Cap'n, ya shoulda kept him here. We coulda glued him to his own deck... Or shot him in the leg... Or kept him as the only one on on the boat like the Davy Back Fights. That was too easy.
Gunther picked up his tools. Anyway, got the tools needed for something new. If anyone has a few ideas, lemme know. Might finally be able to make a cannon to avoid this next time.

The few survivors were loaded up on one of the ships and set adrift. The other two sunk and all of them stripped of treasure and supplies. The crew sailed off one million beries richer.
It was only a few more days before they finally reached it, the first island on the grand line. Or so they thought. Their logpose was pointing slightly to the side, meaning this was not the island it was leading them too. This island however was full of lovely greenery, blooming trees, and a wide assortment of rivers and natural wading pools

Cyrano on the deck rather impatiently, not very much impressed with nature. Towns, cities and civilization was what called to him. That and wealth for which to buy his way to happiness. Despite this, he was in a fairly good mood given the windfall of 1,000,000 beries to split between the crew which he could only hope he get a damn good piece of it.
"I don't care about this island we're coming across. Our ship's cook however might say differently depending on our supplies... Might be good to ask him before we leave this place behind."

"Not sure I like the looks of this, Captain," he warned. "Log pose seems set on pointing to somewhere else. I don't trust this at all."
He appraised the island with a raised eyebrow.
"Pretty nice spot, though. Pity." He grinned as a thought occurred to him. "Of course, if you're set on checking the place out, we could send Rugnar out as bait-- er--I mean, as a scout. You know, to make sure everything's safe. "

And the only thing I can find it in is these Potatoes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scurvy#Prevention)... Am I getting this right, doc? Gunther had barely looked at the list. Vind had been doing a typical little browsing through the cook books, trying to figure out what they actually had the supplies to eat that day that would blow their taste buds out of their mouths. He was getting nowhere fast, they had plenty of mediocre items that was just a little better than hard tack.

That is just unacceptable.

The fishman saw several pointed bits of coral, rather tall and large around the island, however the ship was already past them and currently in no danger. Otherwise there was nothing else he could spot in the area under the water.
The island was truely idealic, though perhaps abit too much for some of the crew's tastes. There was plenty of edible vegitation, a variety of fruits, berries, and veggies. Though a suprising lack of meat. Different insects but nothing larger then that. A good number of trees, almost all fruit baring and a river leading to a plateu at the center of the island with a freshwater lake that was suprisingly warm

Mikhail visibly deflated as Dorian nominated him as half the scouting party.
"Oh joy. Thank you Captain." he said flatly.
Rugnar took the opportunity at that point to suggest Mikhail find some shoes.
"Oh, fantastic idea. How kind of you to suggest it," he said through a strained, clench-jawed smile. It was rather obvious that he wasn't as pleased as he tried to appear. He disappeared below deck for a moment to find some shoes, cursing under his breath as he went. That guy was still on his hate list.
Some time later, Mikhail found himself stumbling through the island's flora, scouting the area with Gunther. The place was really rather pretty, if one overlooked the fact that traversing the island often meant kicking through tangled messes of vines and pointy sticks.
"This place isn't bad, I guess," Mikhail commented, picking burrs off of his pants leg. "Lots of fresh water and food. Vind'll like that. Awful strange you don't hear any birds, though. You'd think this place would be full of 'em, what with all the trees and fruit."
He frowned, shaking his left foot in pain.
"Damn it all, these shoes are uncomfortable!" he grumbled. "If I'm gonna go to all the trouble of stealing them from Rugnar, I'd at least expect them to be worth my time!"
He gave the shoe a tug and went back to walking.

Gunther didn't say anything. He'd been feeling queasy since he'd gotten off the boat. His bird chest didn't hide much and he did seem to like all of the fruits that were in the area. Regardless, he'd hunted before. There was nothing in the area... No fish in the lake and no birds on an otherwise pristine island.

"Fine enough for me. Now stifle we got food to gather."
Upon entry he began harvesting the vegetation to an unreasonable degree. Typically he would be carefully picking to assure the next harvest would be as bountiful, right now he just wanted to make sure they had enough to get to the next island. The keywords came in three points. Vegetables weren't absolutely awesome, but they made good filler for when the crew needed to FEEL satiated, even when they weren't. Also there were a few good for flavor. Fruit for vitamin C, some quick energy during those late nights trying to keep the ship afloat, and sweetness to any dish. Berries, which he hoarded because he was a sucker for any sort of berry based pie. He was also ungodly good at making them, so if they needed some morale it would be pie day.
There would be much rejoicing.
Though most important was potable water. He wasn't sure if the fishman could live off the seawater, but he knew most of the crew couldn't. Fresh water to drink, fresh water to boil, fresh water for damn near everything. Even more than the food you always needed some good water, or else you just dried everything out.
The end result was the cook had stuffed every available pocket he had with stuff he could find, and was rushing back and forth from the little rowboat for water skins to hit the river with.

It was all quite nice really, he would say exotic. Still it did cause him to wonder where the exotic appearance came from. Since it wasn't like a single plant developed it, it was everywhere.
He sat down a moment in the sand and picked up a bit trying to figure if there was anything in there that might be so extremely different than the typical nutrition of plantlife. He shakingly pulled himself to his feet, carefully holding his aching head. He still wasn't sure how they ended up back on the ship--it was all a blur, really, a blur with pain--but he was glad he was here and not in the sea, drowning. At least his luck got him that much.
"Well," he said. "That was.... an interesting diversion. What now?" Personally, Mik had his own idea of what to do next. It involved crawling into bed and drinking himself into unconcsciousness and forgetting that the past few hours had ever happened. But it didn't hurt to ask if the Captain had a better idea. He doubted it, but it didn't hurt to ask.

Rugner grinned wildly as everything came together, the few stragglers made it to the ship and the ship itself broke through the hole he had created, though Gunther had rudely shoved him aside and spoiled his fun with it all. HOnestly the gall of some people. He grinned as he walked over to Rugner, getting a large wooden plank in the proccess.
"Good Job eh mate," He said as he patted his back, getting glue stuck to him, "though next time ya don't need to shove so hard." He said again before giving him one final pat, this time with the plank, gluing it to his body.
He then walked over towards Mikhail, picking up two bottle's of his good stuff.before heading to him.
"'Ere ya go mate!" Rugner said as he took a drink of his own, "Ya look like ye could use this!"

Carapi left his post at the cannon. "Well, I guess I should say, 'Who needs bandages,' but none of you look all that hurt and I just woke up." Carapi yawned and made an exaggerated stretch. "So, instead I'm going to go below deck and go back to sleep. If anyone wants to tell me about what disaster we just lucked our way out of, I'll be up for night watch. Like always." Walking down the stairs, he lazily waved behind himself. "I think it's tradition on the Grand Line to hold a party after this type of thing, but I'll excuse myself. G'night." With that, the door shut behind him.

Recovered from their latest adventure the crew comes to the true target of the logpose, Gold Town. What they notice quickly is the giant pirate flag the city is flying, bearing what looks like a melted skull. Normally indication that an island is under the protection of a particularly infamous pirate. More importantly is the city seems to be thriving with a massive port full of ships and plenty of shops within.
The island itself is otherwise full of deep forests with trees that reflect the colors of fall and the weather to match. There is also a cove but it is highly guarded. However the port proper seems to have nothing to deter you from docking

"Gold Town" Mikhail said, "That certainly sounds promising." It looked like a pretty busy town, too. That was good-- big towns meant casinos, and Mikhail was quite fond of those. If his luck was good, he could make a killing at the card tables. If it was bad, he could bring one of his crewmates to play for him while he made sure his bad luck rubbed off on all the other players, and still make a killing. Mik was an old hand at this sort of thing.
"What say you, captain? Shall we pay Gold Town a visit?"

Cyrano stared greedily from where he stood toward Gold Town. I'm expecting my share of treasure by now. Fine Food. Extravagant Entertainment. Maybe browse the weapon shop if I'm feeling fancy. But traveling to big cities like this with a full wallet is the reason why I hire myself out.

A howl of sharp pain pierces the day air before anyone can even think about the island retreat.
Gunther walks straight to the doctor to get some salve.
We need to stop on the island. He mutters as everyone looks at the plank in his hand. The blood wasn't profusing too badly, but the wound was still nasty. Gunther eyed Rugner with a death stare. He couldn't throttle the bastard but oh, how he wanted to...

Rugner grinned at Gunther. He didn't want to hurt the guy, but he had ticked him off when he was pushed, rudely out of the way from the cannon, and his head hurt slightly were he hit the deck. But he knew Gunther would probably get him back at some point, it was all in good fun after all.
He then looked out across at the town,
"Aye, we need to go visit the town." He said with a bigger grin, "Could be some fun there!:
He then walked over and picked up another bottle of some booze and handed it to Gunther.
"Alcohol dulls the pain mate!" He said with a grin again.

Captain Dorian rubbed his chin thoughtfully as they neared the island.
So far, they had enjoyed rather good fortune, He saw no reason to put off their winning streak yet.
"Okay, can't say I remember that mark, but we don't want people thinking we're scared of any pirates, so we might as well drop anchor there, maybe find a place to stay for the night, now, Who's gonna watch our loot? I wonder who could be trustworthy enough...." he continued to rub his chin as he turned and walked below decks.

Carapi smacked into their captain on his way up the stairs. "Wha-? Ow... Geeze, the one time I bother to set an alarm, and you want someone to stay on board..."
Helping his captain up after his whining, he continued, "Assuming you trust me, sir. Not that I care either way; we're here until the Log Pose resets regardless."

Vind himself had resigned himself to figure if today was a good day for pie. It had been very recent that he had been able to get the ingredients so it wasn't exactly a bad choice, but at the same time he wondered if escaping the terrible maw of such a creature was that celebratory...he decided nay for his pies were that special. He was a master of desserts, and they would have to be part of something quite nice before he would devote a masterpiece to the order.
Meanwhile though there was a question of who was going into town and who was staying, and by matter of amusement he volunteered to stick around,
"I believe it is best I stay here. I don't believe anyone else in the crew could make it as obvious as myself if something has gone completely wrong. Just keep your ear open, I'll give a good hollar."

"Vind does make a good point," Mikhail said, hoping to minimize his own chances of getting stuck on guard duty. "We'd instantly know if trouble occurred, no matter where we were on the island."

I need to go and pick up some gunpowder for the ship. I'm also looking for a few tools to tinker with. The mechanical suit is almost done.
Gunther took the alcohol from Rugner, downing some and pouring a little on the wound. He hissed audibly as he looked to disinfect the bleeding part. He'd been hurt worse, but this was one he could barely reach himself, itching horribly.

Rugner grinned at Gunther. Then looked back at the Captain.
"Well, I got nothing specific I need ta do in town" He said as he took a swig of his drink, "I figure I'll tag along with Gunther and assist him in acquiring what he needs. May need a extra pair of hands, or sticky ones!"
