Searching for The Bard's Song (Studio) by Blind Guardian

I'm a fan of the band Blind Guardian.

One of my favorite songs by them is "The Bard's Song - In the Forest". Often it's only referred to as "The Bard's Song".

I recently came across a re-release of it on youtube.

I have the old "normal" version of the song, but the new release sounds much better to me. The newer one is called "Bard's Song (Studio)" or "(New Studio Version)" or some such.

I've searched high and low on mp3 websites (The legit kind, I don't pirate). I can not seem to find it. I have looked for the disc which it's supposed to be on, but I have had no luck there either.

Anyone that knows where to find the new version or that can point me in the right direction?

Aye, I've seen that animation before. It uses the original version of the song.
I'm trying to find the studio version. From what I can tell of the youtube video, the newer studio version has some subtle audio differences.

Okay, as far as I can piece it together, Bard's Song was originally released on Somewhere Far Beyond in 1992, which was remastered and re-released in 2007, and in 2003 there was a single (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bard%27s_Song_%28In_the_Forest%29) with a "New Studio Version" of the song. You can get the single used on amazon, but it'll cost ya (http://www.amazon.com/Bards-Song-Blind-Guardian/dp/B0000953T1/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1275900021&sr=8-1), and anyway either of the two may or may not be the version from the youtube video - the 30 second sample on amazon of the single version sounded a bit different to me, but listen for yourself. Might just be the compression.

Personally though, from the way the video is set up I'm inclined to believe that what you have there is a version specially recorded for a TV show that may never have been released as a pure audio track. You might want to try and do some crowdsourcing at the Blind Guardian forums (http://www.blind-guardian.com/forum/index.php) to find out where the video's from.

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the Blind Guardian's forums.

After a bit of rummaging around there I discovered that indeed the version I linked earlier was made specifically for a music show. It is not in pure-audio form.
Also, the disc with the multiple versions of "The Bard's Song" was released in limited quantities, hence the higher than average cost.

I'll see if I can save some change here and there and get a copy. The versions on it are still of higher quality than the album I got a few years ago.
