So Steam has a big sale going on. It's essentially a Boxing Day sale, but not on Boxing Day.

This makes me pretty mad because I more or less avoid buying much on Steam, saving up for great Boxing Day savings. All these bargains, though, argh!

My damage so far:

Deus Ex: GOTY
Max Payne
Max Payne 2
Titan Quest Gold Edition
X3 Gold Edition
Tropico 3: Absolute Power Expansion

And this is only a week or two after buying Oblivion GOTY when it was $7.50.

So, what's your damage?

So many I want but I have no money at all at the moment. Man, L4D was really cheap earlier.

Sales when you're broke are just tragic.

Just got Thief: Deadly Shadows, because I've heard good things about the series. That's something.

Dawn of War 2, and Chaos Rising.

Didn't they have a sale not too long ago as well?

I just got Darwinia, Multiwinia, Uplink and DEFCON (NonCon? No, DEFCON!) for the bargain price of €5,-

Even if all of them suck, I've spent nothing more than I'd otherwise spend on fast-food, so...

This is the murderous thing about these sales for me. Most of the time my internal thought process is like "Meh, you know, I'd probably spend around this much on drinks or a chicken burger tonight anyway!"

Multiplied by every day for the entire length of the sale, except those two crappy days they've had.

I guess the difference between you and me is, I really couldn't care less for anything else because I know the bigger games on sale won't run (well) on my PC anyway.
MONEY SAVED BY NOT BEING INTERESTED!
Those I bought, I know will run decently, since they're not big games in the first place.

Yeah, I got that too. I had played Defcon before, and had recently heard people praising Uplink. I've had fun with both. Can't really comment on the -winias.

Other than that, I got Legendary, The Witcher, Project Aftermath, Sid Meier's Pirates!, Space Rangers 2: Reboot...and...uh...man, I'm sure there is something else.

Really, the worst part about these sales is seeing the games I both in the last few months be much cheaper now. Utterly depressing.

Darwinia is... weird-ish, but not bad. Haven't played Multiwinia, but considering the name it's multi-player (correction if I'm wrong, please). Won't touch that before I finish Darwinia, and even then it's doubtful.

DEFCON... I suck hard at it, but mostly because I play WAY too defensively, and I have a hard time managing the planes and stuff. Fun enough game, though.

Uplink is the jewel of my purchase, and strangely enough the only one I hadn't previously heard of. I'm in love with that game.
