That is to say the air waves with Syfy's latest original movie SHARKTOPUS! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK2bBfuepKk&feature=player_embedded)
Now I know there are movies that are so bad they're good, but why does Syfy keep trying to make them? Have fun discussing your favorite horrible syfy original movies, like Dinocroc Vs. Supergator or Mansquito or Mega Piranha.

And Mechanical Limbs!
Laser Beams, Sharp pointy teeth and Mechanical Limbs...
You know what, someone should make a fucking Horror movie concerning the god damn Killer Rabbit!

Sharktopus is an old idea, a horrible movie called "Devilfish" was made some time ago, and later lampooned on MST3K.;)

SyFy has to do something with it's budget when not producing series (which in my mind, the only ones worth mentioning as being good are Eureka, Warehouse 13, and Sanctuary). Why not just make us all squirm in horror from bad made for cable television Sci-fi B-movies?
On the note of the topic...there was this one about Bikers in a forest in Northern Minnesota having to fight off a serial killer and a forest fire. That was just horrid...but this will probably be even worse and poor Eric Roberts. He's probably having to pay a bill with this movie.

This movie seems... watchable just from being so insane.

The best SyFy original movie wasn't even on SyFy
Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=js5VEjGhHcs&feature=related) premiered on ABC.
Second place wasn't on SyFy either: Y2K: The Movie (http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/wed-november-17-1999/y2k--the-movie) premiered on NBC.
Okay, I know, those aren't REAL SyFy movies, but frankly I think they're worse because they were put out by major studios, watched by millions of people, and aren't simple harmless fantasy but idiotic attempts to maximize profit on some of the most overblown "threats" to humanity ever conceived.
Although I guess on that scale 2012 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hz86TsGx3fc) would be at the top of the list...but it had some damn class.

if these movies have taught me anything its. Human + anything = unstoppable monster. You can splice human DNA with bunny rabbits and they will be homocidal engines of destruction

I can see it. Hybrid bunny man monster reproduces at alarming rate, eats all vegetation in sight like huge pack of locusts, soon all vegetation on earth will be devoured, leaving it a lifeless desert. Only a rogue scientist and a spunky rookie cop on the edge can put a stop to HOMO LAGOMORPHUS.

Kind of reminds me of those Bunnicula books I read when I was a kid, too (it's a vampire bunny that sucks the life from vegetables. He had almost nothing to do with the plot whatsoever, it was a cat and a dog for the most part).

Getting into killer ducks is probably outside the purview of even SyFy's wildest film ideas.
Probably.

I suppose SyFy could remake some other MST3K classics such as: Killer Shrews, The Horrors of Spider Island, The Brain that wouldn't Die, The Beginning of the End, The Giant Spider Invasion, The Screaming Skull, The Touch of Satan, Teenagers From Outer Space, Prince of Space (an updated Krankor would be horrible and wonderful at the same time), Pod People, and of course Hobgoblins. God help us all if ever this should happen. :ohdear:

Honestly, I'm kinda surprised they haven't shown this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_of_the_Dolphin) (a.k.a. the movie where scientists train dolphins to speak English and assassinate the President.) It would still probably be better than most of the stuff they show on SyFy.
And I actually wouldn't mind a Bunnicula movie. I remember enjoying those books as a kid.

They'd just remake it as a Made For SyFy Original because no one would remember the original movie.

Could Megashark and Giant Octopus have made up, fallen in love, and than had a kid name Sharktopus?

This might bare a connection to both those movies. May even be a twisted what if movie.
