So now Mr. L. Jackson has announced the cast of the Avengers movie... (http://www.cbs8.com/Global/story.asp?S=12866107) Anyone surprised at some of the choises? I'm not 100% sure about my opinion myself, as I'm not really sped up as to who everyone is.

Although I like how the article mentions "Surprise Guest Robert Downey Jr" like it was a big shocker. Might've been pretty obvious for those who watched past the credits in Iron Man 1 that he'd be in The Avengers...

And thoughts?

Jeremy Renner was the only choice for Hawkeye so its great that they've got him. Not sure about Ruffalo because I really liked Norton as Banner.

I thought we already knew all of this? Well except for Hawkeye, didn't know anything about him.

And yeah, I'm dissapointed Norton's not returning as Banner. Poor Hulk keeps getting shafted and recast in every movie recently.

Word has it that Norton got dropped off because either he was being a dick or because the executive branch behind the movies were being Dicks TO him. Not really sure which one is true.

So, they have one mighty cast there... now it's just a matter to see if they will be able to balance the proper movie time between all the starts and the action

No Wasp? A third different actor playing the Hulk in as many movies?

I'm not as thrilled by this as I might have been.

You can't have Janet without Hank so I'm guessing we won't see her in a big role until Ant-Man rolls around.

Is anyone getting an Ultimates feel from this? As much as I liked the first series, not all of the characterizations were appropriate so this has got me a bit worried.

entirely possible there was an equal amount of dickishness from both parties
