Hey ya. Sorry to bug you guys again.

I have seen several instances of this in the past few months, where I would try to use the [IMG] Tags on an image that I host on Photobucket or link from someplace like TVTropes. However, whenever I try to do something like that, the picture "disappear" (or better to say, it never appears, without a trace). It doesn't even take up the space needed for the pic to appear.

As this is something that has been going on for a long time and is REALLY starting to annoy me now, I'm hoping if one of you fine gentlemen can explain how it happened or what is going wrong.

Thank you kindly in advance for any assistance.

That's because Photobucket sucks, and 90% of the time fails to load images anyway.

Ah. Is there a particular webhost that you would recommend instead?

Also, I'm starting to think it might not be Photobucket all the time, because I have these problems even when I'm directly linking to the image itself from another page, such as a picture on one of the topics in TVtropes...

Sometimes places put up blocks to prevent hotlinking.

As for webhosts... for single-pics, I use sadpanda.us. No need for an account or anything, and it's pretty reliable.

Yeah, a block for hotlinking sounds likely. Unless TV Tropes has an explicit "sure, go ahead" policy? I don't know. Photobucket on the other hand, I think they're all about hosting images to link on forums or somewhere.

Could you try to put up an image here, the same way you usually do? Just so we can look at the code.

e: imageshack.us is the one I usually go with and it always served me well. Maybe 5 or 6 times over the past few years that an image wouldn't load, and never for very long.

No, hotlinking from TVTropes is definitely forbidden.

I second imageshack.

I (again) propose Dropbox (https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTIzODMzNjg5)'s public folder.

Edit: I also second Mondt's recommendation of imgur.com
