Dean doesn't hate love dang nabbit! He has a very very powerful bond with Filia but he feels that the bond isn't enough to be able to go on, so strength and power is how they can beat anything. He also thinks if anyone knew about the powerful bond he has with the dragon could be used against him so it's seen as a weakness to him more then an all powerful strength and to overcome that weakness is to become more powerful. That's how he views it anyways, he wouldn't admit that to anyone because he figures it would be revealing something that could be exploited.

Bit of a suicide move when he is sitting in a desk, pretty much a fortress from all flying impact attacks aside from a headshot. But yeah it is understandable, now he doesn't hate all Scots, just Scots who fit a stereotype of ignorant, fight hungry living arses. Ignorant stereotypes are anathema.

Acting like an ignorant stereotype is not the same as acting like a member of an ethnic group, even if there is overlap. This could best be shown with a venn diagram with a small circle called 'ignorant stereotype' inside a much larger circle that says 'ethnic group'.

I did dramatize it somewhat more because almost everyone else decided to be all drama crazy, so I figure if everyone else was going to Dean should as well.

Always remember that I don't hate the way you play your character. Jay does, he hates everything about him. And apparently to some people that aren't being named that looks like foe yay on top of the also not real ho yay between him and Dal.

Krogoth, Overcast, I totally get that your characters are madly in love with one another hate each other but in the future please confine your quotations to under a 100 words each, per post. I mean, god, rants are nice every once and a while but it was like reading one long run-on-story.

People don't talk like that unless they're the Professor!

Alright, I have something to say!

Writing GM Posts is hard.

I'm happy to say that not all of you seem to need this reminder, but there's a handful of you who have been complaining about how slowly I post over IM since the game started. So, here's the deal. Either you guys lay off or I'm ending the game.

Because, like, three GM posts in and this is already becoming a chore for me. That is a horrible sign.

See, writing Professor Landry is hard. Full stop. It takes me a long time to get into her headspace, and even longer to write several-page-long sequences with her jumping around, shouting and gesturing adamantly without making them sound repetitive. The current scene is, without a doubt, the hardest thing I've ever had to write for.

Basically, if you want to hurry the game along, be patient. I'm posting slowly because isn't easy!

Oh, and if you would be so kind as to post once per round (or tell me you aren't going to post), it would also help. Do I need to explain why this is?

In spite of what I said before about being patient, I hope the long delays between posts aren't too off-putting a thing. Hopefully the pace will pick up when Professor Landry isn't standing at the front of the class room talking non-stop. Hopefully!

In regards to this post, I'd like to point out that players don't need to reply to Professor Landry herself. You can react silently, or shout out something during her long, long, speech - just remember that she wouldn't have stopped talking, so keep that in mind if you do decide to react (out loud) to a specific part in the middle of her talking storm.

'course, you can always strike up a conversation in whispers to someone sitting next to you. Might be simpler!

Editing an updated map in as we speak, in case people aren't sure who's where.

Here's a map! And the key. Used different colors than Meneraker did, they're aimed more toward matching Auras than anything else.

Oh, he also put the door on the wrong side, so I just flipped the arrangement. Doesn't really change anything though.

However!

I realized that I'm not totally sure where Jay, Sao and Dal are sitting, since the door on Menarker's map was placed by the second row, instead of in front of the first one, so while Andy (according to Dante's post) would be in the first row, Sao might either be in the second or third row, depending on Riin's preference. And since Overcast didn't specify where in the first row he was sitting, I'm not totally sure which seat he picked - which makes it a little tricky to place Dal.

Anyway, the map is my best approximation of where you guys are sitting right now. Correct me if I'm wrong, kay?

AB, it's just that the other NPCs in the room don't have any time to talk. PCs always override NPCs.

Plus there'd be one more seat taken had Michael gone to class.

Well, officially, there are two more NPCs who are absent.

There might be a larger influx of NPCs added to the class after the game's first battle level, but I'll decide that later on. Plus it'll probably be a least a month before we actually cross that bridge, so don't expect new characters to join the class any time soon.

Moved Jin and Dean to the other side of the room, since they're supposed to be together.

Sorry for being a bit late. I hope this profile is alright, and I'm looking forward to joining.

Placed here since this is more active and more likely to be noticed/edited as such, etc.

Name: Shinobu Meguro

Gender: Female

Aura: Deep Orange

Appearance: Towering at 6'2", Shinobu, or Shin, is extremely tall and well-built for a girl of 17. Having more muscle than not, Shin is strong and carries herself just as expected - proudly. Her black hair is often disheveled, having only enough care to style her somewhat tall mohawk in the morning. The remaining strands don't reach past her neck and cut unevenly. Shinobu's irises are bright red with dark blue creeping up from the pupils, but hardly noticable. Her grin reveals two semi-prominent lower tusks tucked behind her lips. She has semi-fair complexion, with only a hint of any asian appearance.

Shin is often seen wearing light grey pants and a matching sleeveless top. Her favorite shirt has a bold yellow stripe down the right side. On colder days she will add a khakhi jacket, mostly dark grey with a faint orange tone to it. Her black tennis shoes have grey trimming and have seen quite some use.

In natural form Shin remains the same height, but her ogre features are prominent. Shinobu's skin is a cool red, while her eyes are ultramarine. Well above her eyes two black horns jut outwards with a slight downwards curve. Her ears are large and pointed; the unelegant cousins of elf ears. Curved tusks are clearly shown even with her mouth closed, and her jaw is boxed in the manner that would suggest her bite could rival a bulldog's. Musculature in her natural form is more pronounced, being only a little slimmer than what could be labeled as a she-hulk. Her hair is more wild as well, being extremely bushy in the mohawk area and the loose strands able to reach her shoulder line. The actual 'hawk ends somewhere between her shoulder plates. Her nails are also a little sharper, but not claws.

On rare occassions will Shin's skin and eye color reverse to align with another personality. All other appearances in this form remain the same, though this one is less likely to grin madly.


Race: Oni

Abilities: Strength Boost: Shinobu has incredible strength, enough to scare almost any human she decides to demonstrate this with. There are times she can use her muscles to, say, break a wall, but such displays are frowned upon and often will make her feel weak afterwards. She will fully recover after a brief period of rest.

Oni club: In an emergency, where her hands or ready objects fail her, Shin always has her club. The club is summonable and appears out of a quickly created cloud of condensation. The more aggressive she feels, and occassionally there will be some small strands of electricity in this makeshift cloud. They aren't very harmful, though.

Human disguise: Oni learn early on to decieve humans, and the best way to do this is through acting as one of them. Her human form appears as above and can be used at will, except for times of extreme exhaustion.

Background: Being practically kicked out of the house by her parents, Shin was enrolled in Amaranth Institute in hopes someone would teach her a lesson, hopefully while she was being educated. A rather crude and competitive girl, she enjoys being on top of the food chain, and will assert herself loudly and if brute force when she feels it is needed. Her grades are often barely passing, as she uses school more of a training ground for her athletics with some socialization mixed in. It seems she has almost always been a bit of a bully, flaunting her strength since intelligence tends to fail her. Although she has been taught that humans are not tasty snacks, on occassion an irritating individual almost transforms in her mind into a talking steak.

Her history shows that she has transferred schools many times and was sent to Amaranth as a final attempt. As such, she is not quickly attatched to anything that is not food, a method of strengthening herself or something to hurt.

Clubs: Track and field- shot put.
Wrestling

Notes: Shinobu has Multiple personality disorder, with a single personality, named Chou.

Chou is unnoticable visually unless in her natural state. Unlike Shin she is a quiet intellectual, but will not readily talk to anyone. She's also noticably more mature, and feels a couple years past her actual age. There's nothing Chou would like more than to curl up in the libary of the school and read her days away, absorbing new information. Very few lapses are made to reveal Chou. Although neither of them will talk about it, Shin's strong upbringing hints at physical abuse as a small oni, with one prominent event resulting in the split.

Both personalities are strictly carnivore. Normal food is not harmful, but just tastes bad. They both have deep hatred for soy products.


Relationships: Shinobu has a bit of trouble making close friends, being somewhat of a jerk and all. The few individuals she converses with are on track or wrestling, mostly concerning how to improve her technique. Most other conversations with her peers revolve around social events, how terrible something is or who should get hurt. None are important enough for her to even stick her neck out for. Very happy to socialize, not ready to be considerate towards others. She is more than happy to punch whoever she feels like in the face, though.

Offering her food is one way to quickly become her friend. Just make sure it isn't your finger.

Without anyone else on the team someone was sure to die between them, and the only teamwork he'd have is that they'd be working together to make the Scot's body decompose, with Jay prodding his rotting corpse in the bathtub full of acid.

You assume this isn't exactly what will happen with all three of us on the team.

Pro-tip, look up Irish mythology surrounding the Tautha, and then ponder that the Scot and the Irish have a comman gaelic ancestory.

I figure their ancestral heritage isn't really all that great since their family history includes the fae doing any number of terrible things to the humans of the Gael over their history together. Some good yeah, but it is always difficult to rule out the Redcap and similar creatures.

There's also the part where the Fae owned Ireland until the Gaelic tribes assaulted the island, and then when the two met for a treaty the Gaelic were allowed to split the island in half.

They gave the fae the half that was underground, basically banishing them there.

Tautha De Danaan means 'people of the mounds'. They are called that because they were forced to live in underground mounds.

I'm very sorry about the substantial delay between my last GM post and this one. Suffice to say, I have been extremely busy the past few weeks and it has been rather difficult to sit down and find the time to type something up. But, excuses aside, I feel the length of this post is suitable for a month of inactivity.

Don't know how many of you are still into this, but I'll keep running it under the assumption that interest remains, until it becomes clear that is doesn't! If you don't want to continue, don't feel like you have to though. I can understand if you just aren't interested, given the time between posts on my part.

Also, since I handed out a bunch of names and new characters, NPC bio time!

Name: Adeline Fletcher
Gender: Female
Aura: Dark Red
Appearance: A hazel eyed and brown haired girl, Adeline stands at 5'7 and is surprisingly athletic, despite her slim build. Her brown hair hangs down to the middle of her back, and is normally held in a long braid. While she changes her clothes daily, she always has her bright orange backpack nearby at school; most of her outfits seem designed to compliment it.

Abilities:
Miss (Mary) Sue - Professor Landry insists that Miss Sue is the most suitable name for Adeline. If that's really true, who knows what fearsome Sue-like powers Miss Fletcher can invoke! It might be better to never talk to her so you'll never find out.
Mysterious Pendant - A necklace with a shard of yellow opaque stone hanging off it. Adeline mysteriously wore it to her first day of school. Perhaps it is merely a fashion accessory! But, the amount of emphasis that's been placed on the rock makes that seem unlikely - it probably holds the fate of the world?
Orange Backpack - Who knows what's in there!? :ohdear:

Bio: The so-called Miss Sue, Adeline Fletcher is actually the daughter of a pair of extremely wealthy - and entirely mad - scientists who moved to Ansidor recently. Amaranth is the first school she's ever been to, having spent most of her life prior home schooled by highly paid tutors, so she's less then enthused about being here. Of the clubs she's joined, the one Adeline's most looking forward to is the Riding one - she is very fond of horses.

Name: Karen Amsel
Gender: Female
Aura: Light Yellow
Appearance: Stands at 6'2 - when she isn't wearing heels - with flawless alabaster skin, surprisingly pale yellow eyes, and a slim, delicate, build, Karen's one to stand out in a crowd. She seems to prefer to dress in dark colors, but beyond that, varies her outfits daily. Her hair is pale blond and surprisingly thick, though it barely passes her shoulders, and has a slight wave to it.

Abilities:
Art Teacher - Karen's most widely known position in the school is the Art Club Director; consequently, it shouldn't come as a surprise that she herself is a skilled artist. Thanks mainly to her art background, Karen's developed quite the eye for detail, and has a very sharp visual memory. In addition, she's also good at creating costumes and doing make-up; something that's often taken advantage of by the Drama Club during productions.
Shark Fighter - People are usually surprised when she tells them she runs a Shark Fighting Club in her school. But, if you've ever seen her stare down a cougar, this probably makes sense. One can assume Karen's stronger and more dangerous then her elegant and delicate appearance would lead you to believe.
Strange Smile - When she smiles, some people feel weak in the knees. Coincidence?

Bio: One of Amaranth's Club Directors, Karen Amsel has been on Sophia Amaranth's payroll for quite a long time. She doesn't have any legal teaching qualifications, so she's only employed as a Club Director, but is apparently very skilled, with or without a diploma. Karen runs the Art and Shark Fighting Clubs, and has been offered several other positions. As of the moment, she's turned them all down.

Name: Rachel Demia
Gender: Female
Aura: White
Appearance: Standing at only 5'3, Rachel's a small girl who many might consider anorexic. Her hair, a straight and dull sandy blond, extends just past her neck and is often covered by a black beret. Her eyes are a very pale shade of blue and - unless closely examined - are often mistaken for white, which can be more than a little unnerving. Nix, her dark haired cloth doll, is rarely ever far from her reach and seems to have emulated Rachel's fondness of goth-like clothing. Like Rachel, Nix also has a beret.

Abilities:
Talks to her Doll - Sometimes, its cute when little girls pretend their dolls can talk. Rachel really thinks Nix is alive though, and can sometimes be seen in animated discussions with her! It isn't creepy until you find out Rachel's at least twenty years old.
Canvas Bag - A slim light brown bag meant to be worn over one shoulder. Rachel carries a variety of colored pens, pencils and a notebook in it during the rare times she's seen outside of the art room. She seems to take art very seriously, but her beret probably told you that. Most of the pages of her notebook appeared to be scribbled over in red ink; which probably for the best.
Glowing Eyes - Sometimes, her eyes glow.

Bio: A young girl who always seems to be in the art room. There appears to be some confusion about whether or not she's even enrolled in the school, or ever leaves it. Most people avoid her, with good reason.

Name: Alphonse Shuyin
Gender: Male
Aura: Dark Red
Appearance: 5'10, slimly built, well-muscled, amber eyed and with a hint of a tan on his flawless skin, Shuyin's a good example of an adult Bishonen. His hair, which is naturally azure in color, hangs down past the small of his back and is extremely well cared for. Alphonse seems to like wearing suits, as that's what he comes dressed in nearly every day - if with some slight variation on the color and style.

Abilities:
Master of Manners - Shuyin's normally a very polite, charming and pleasant man to speak with; likely because he specializes in the area of ettiquette. Unfortunately for all of you, Professor Landry brings out the worst in this normally mild-mannered man. His fans, of course, insist that Landry starts all the fights.
Defensive Fighter - Surprisingly, Professor Shuyin has received extensive martial arts training, and has earned a black belt in at least one style. The rare times he does fight though, Shuyin rarely attacks; his preferred style mainly focuses on defense; it’s impolite to injure your assailants, especially when they're of inferior skill.
Folding Fan - Shuyin actually carries multiple folding fans, all of which are identical, bearing the design of a white crane in flight on a tangerine orange backdrop, hidden on his person. He's able to wield them effectively in battle, but seems to dislike using them so violently. It should be noted, however, that some of his fans contain hidden blades.

Bio: Alphonse Shuyin, who prefers to be called by his last name, is one of the Professors at the Amaranth Institute for the Gifted. He and Professor Landry have, through some sick twists of fate, crossed paths at nearly every stage of their lives; they grew up in the same neighbourhood, went to the same University in Europe and were both hired to work in Amaranth High in the same year. This would be good, if the two didn't seem to hate each other.

In addition to running a homeroom class, Professor Shuyin periodically attends Martial Art clubs for demonstrations, teaches ballroom dancing in the dance club, and assists in costuming and make-up for the Drama Club. It shouldn't be surprising that the school has a fan club devoted to him as well.

I thought about doing a write-up for the Grim Reaper, but decided against it. His name's Johnny Skelenbones, but I don't think I'll reveal anything else about him, his role in the classroom or whether or not he's actually the Grim Reaper. He is male though.

Other bits of information worth noting: Michael still doesn't know the blond teacher (Karen's) name, I just used it to make writing the post itself easier. Karen's accent messed with Rachel's name (called her Vachel) when she introduced her to Michael, so, feel free to play with that if you want; it isn't a typo. Landry's classroom is pretty much dark right now - so it is possible that you could have snuck out. All injuries from the lightbulbs were minor.

Beyond that, for the next few posts, I've decided to give you a lot more freedom in deciding what to do. Talk to other PCs, explore the school, or (if you can find a way) I'll allow you all to control your own NPCs for a while longer, so you can write a scene with them in it. Just keep in mind that any of them, who are students, will still be in homeroom for a little over two hours.

Could always text them? Or skip straight to lunch, that's fine too. Timelines won't be in perfect sync here.

If there's any players who want to write a scene in an area I haven't described yet, but don't want to cut your post in half (or a quarter, or something) waiting for me to reply and describe the setting, PM me where you want to go and I'll give you the details. This might also be an important step when creating a new teacher for your NPCs.

Oh, I'll also be sending out a few PMs with Non-General Knowledge to players (things their characters would know, but I haven't mentioned) as it becomes important. Please don't share these - I'm using PMs for a reason.

How exactly does the school schedule work?

Its purposely meant to be confusing!

Simple Schedule:

9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Homeroom Class
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: Free Period (Lunch)
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Club Time(s)

To explain a little, Homeroom Class is a combination of what the school considers core subjects, like math, history, current events and 'practical' skills. The homeroom teacher is able to modify this curriculum - to a point. Most just add their own specialties to it. Homeroom doesn't always start at nine and doesn't always last until noon, but it is expected that students will attend it - unless they've made arrangements otherwise.

The free period is traditionally thought of as lunch, but there's no requirement to eat or anything. Most teachers do that though, some clubs are closed in this time period consequently. Students can, in theory, go home without penalty at this point as well.

Clubs are a little more confusing. Club Heads (or whatever title they like) typically stay in their room all day (save at lunch) in case some students decide to skip homeroom and come work independently. Club times are just times in the schedule when 'scheduled' clubs run - ones like the Shark Fighting Club that require teacher supervision or student run fan clubs - and when students are encouraged to attend at least one of their registered groups.

Note that every student must spend a minimum of an hour a week in all their registered clubs. They are encouraged to be there for more than that, as most clubs have work they'll need to do and the club heads are happy to help (not to mention the clubs are suspiciously well supplied), but there's no compulsion beyond that.

I'll send out some PMs to give out more information on what kind of schedules your clubs have. Should have it before the weekend.

Is everyone on the same page?

Students would have been sent handbooks with this kind of information in it, though not in as concise form. The first homeroom is normally meant to fix this, but Professor Landry ended her's before you got to these issues.

Clubs have been sent out, please ask questions if you've got some. I have a list of all the clubs I've created too, so if someone wants a copy, ask.

In addition, I'll outline the general functions of some of the building's used in the school. The layout generally places letters of the alphabet together. Note that student dorms are, for the moment, going to be left located ambiguously. They may receive a building assignment eventually, or they might just be a stand alone numbered complex.

A - The Principle's Office is located here - it's also in the center of the school grounds. Faculty have a lunchroom here as well. Its generally the place to look for teachers who aren't in their usual rooms.

C - The school's hockey complex, designed like a commercial arena, it contains a handful of restaurants and four floors of seats. Also does ice dancing shows and the like. Its very high class. The seats are separated from the ice by plastic and heated - they're more like restaurants than bleachers. Surprisingly popular place to study.

D - The main cafeteria. Students eat for free.

F - The computer clubs meet here. There's free Wi-Fi and spare machines for students to use, even if they are a year or two old.

G - the sports complex. It contains the practice rooms for sports teams that don't need particularly specialized areas, as well as indoor courts for things like tennis and racket ball. If you're looking for a club that does physical things, this is usually the place to start.

H - the pool complex. There are several pools here. Students swim for free!

J - Baseball Field, its a entirely outdoor, so more a designated area than a building.

L - The Library. Most the rooms in this building are made by strategically arranged bookshelves. It can be easy to get lost here. Only the first three floors have books, the fourth is protected by a locked door.

M - A strange, three story, slab of stone topped by a garden. People avoid it for some reason. Near Building A.

Y - A field reserved for the track and field team. It has some tracks and some fields.

Z - the animal building. Most clubs that deal with animals meet here, most notably the riding club.

Misc - there are two tracks surrounding the school. A small one, for students to run on, and a larger one reserved for horses. How wonderful!

Will also post sometime soon, today or tomorrow, to respond to the responses I've gotten. Unless there's a lot more posts first, I suppose.

For Overcast, I didn't reply to your post because nothing interesting will be happening in the Choir Room today, so it would be a waste of my time to set a scene in there. You may assume the class was exactly what you expected! Your character's currently in time-skip land, so, for your next post, just give an exert from Jay's day? Maybe talk to some of his friends, or something to that effect. If you have questions about what a specific area looks like, ask. But it might be easier if you just gloss over specific area descriptions.

Dante and Armored Bishoujo are in similar situations; ball's still in your courts. Write whatever scene you want using your NPCs, I'll reply if I see a need for GM action.

For Bard! Don't worry, I haven't forgotten you. Professor Landry's just dealing with the other students before she gets to Sean - I'll leave it up to you to figure out what to post next. Perhaps come to the desk and talk to someone while you wait?

I believe that should cover any issues I didn't address in my post. Did I miss anything?

Which will be played as a flashback for Jay before he went to bed. So as the choices go, singing it up in choir, actin a fool in drama, or contemplating the mysteries of the universe at the big ass slab a rock.

I just made an official timeskip and moved the game ahead several hours. The current (official) time is 6:17 pm. To players who had scenes going that I just aborted (mainly Krogoth, Arhra and Bard), if you want to continue going solo, that's totally your call.

Anyway, that's two scenes I started. Don't feel pressured to join in and interact, but I thought I'd make them and let players decide what they want to do. Adeline's on the Field of Honor and Shin's in the main Cafeteria. Either way, I'd like to know what your character's doing at 6:17 - even if its a scene of entirely your own characters.

@Krogoth, I'll give you permission to take your Dragon out for a stroll, if you want. In the last several hours, it is entirely feasible that Dean got permission! Probable even. Oh, and by the way, if you're wondering, the Illusionary World is basically a copy of the Scottish Countryside. Not much to do there, really. Good training place, I guess?

And, as a question was posed by one of the players regarding this, the Cafeteria does have Cold Dishes as well as Warm ones. I only mentioned warm ones because I thought there would be more interest in them. But, since Frost Giants and other Ice People go there, their menus contain a surprisingly variety. Some Supernaturals have interesting dietary limitations.

So, just go ahead and assume that they have anything (within reason - keep cost of ingredients in mind) for you to eat.

A while back, I told Teal I might join this game. Now that I have a semi-viable means of internet usage, that time has finally come. Thus:

Name: Kohana Akecheta

Gender: Male

Aura: Green. Just Green.

Age: 19

Appearance: Kohana has straight, long black hair, like most Native Americans. He wears a bandana that covers the top and sides of his head; the cloth is white and covered in various patterns. His skin is darkly tanned; this is very clear because he almost always refuses to wear a shirt. At best, he can be seen wearing a brown, western-style duster. He wears black, fingerless gloves on his hands, and his legs are covered in black, cloth pants. These, like his bandana, are covered in patterns, stylized in white ink. His feet, when he bothers to wear shoes, are protected by black sandals.
Kohana also has several tattoos. These are mostly comprised of similar patterns to the ones found on his bandana and pants, and cover his back, legs, and forearms.

Around his waist, there is always, -always- a very furry black belt.

Race: Non-human; Wolf-spirit’s Vessel

Abilities: Shirahadori – taught to Kohana by a wanderer who stumbled upon his village in the plains, the shirahadori is a Flash Action allows Kohana to nullify any attack he can fit his hands around. Not even nullify, really. More like... a catch. Just... a -really- fast one. That works on sharp things. Naturally, this sort of thing is impossible in anything more than a one-on-one fight, and is likewise impossible to do several times in rapid succession. It is also impossible for Kohana to disarm an opponent with the shirahadori.

An ability that summons Kohana's guardian Wolf Spirit, though because it relies on Kohana's spiritual power on this side, it can only manifest as a puppy. Like most summon animals, it's unusually tough and in good shape, but is still, well, a puppy. Not very threatening. It does, however, project a weak magic deadening shield, which can weaken supernatural abilities inside of its area of influence. Because Kohana doesn't have a grasp of how to control when the Puppy manifests, it's a Black Ability, for now.

Now You See Me – an ability granted to Kohana by his merger with the trickster wolf spirit. When active Kohana’s aura and scent are deaded, as are any sounds he makes. He is not invisible when using the technique, he’s just really really sneaky.

Because Now You See Me… wasn't very useful, this is a continuity shift of that ability. Through Shaman training, Kohana has obtained the ability to draw out the spirits possessing objects, people or locations, and force them into physical form. After that, he can, well, kick them – or something. Also works on items gifted with artificial intelligence, including AIs in Computers. Requires physical contact. Has a secondary effect of letting Kohana sense when a spirit is near; they make his tail bristle. He can also smell them.

Flash Step – when all else fails, run like hell away.

Background: Born into a small group of mystics, Kohana’s lived on a reservation in the Midwest all of his life. Despite what is governmentally “regulated,” he and a select few of his village manage to “poach” enough of the remaining bison population to keep their group fed and clothed without causing much disturbance.

More noticeable is the theft of petty goods and cash from nearby, non-Native American towns.

Upon reaching adulthood, Kohana, like all other good members of his group, submitted to going on a spiritual journey to discover the spirit that would guide his life. Instead, he found himself the vessel for the trickster spirit Abyssal Wolf. The physical manifestation of this merger of souls gave Kohana black wolf’s ears and a furry black tail, both of which he hides rather adeptly.

The merger also opened up a whole new world to Kohana; one he travels done at the behest of his village elder, who’s taught him most of what he knows. Now, Kohana is instructed to attend the Amaranth Institue for the Gigted in order to further develop his powers, and maybe cool his jets.
Kohana is a hand-to-hand fighter, learning to brawl in his dealing with the law and order in various towns around his home. He favors grappling and takedowns, though his legs are something to note, and his fists hurt as much as the next guy’s.

Kickboxing Club
Wrestling Team (Lightweight Division)

Notes: Kohana is a horrible flirt and womanizer. He also likes to drink and cause trouble, but he’s rumored to be very reliable when it comes down to it. Which could be a total lie.

Relationships: Sieglind Tressel – How exactly Kohana and Sieg no each other is no mystery. Sieg’s older sister Katherine ran a tavern/bar back near Kohana’s home reservation, which Kohana frequented. However, upon the news of Kohana’s moving to and attending Amaranth, the brother and sister packed up shop and set up a new place near the school, which Sieg now also attends. Sieg has the maddening power to know exactly when Kohana is up to something, and the even more annoying habit of telling someone, who then promptly intercepts Kohana.

Katherine Tressel – Katherine is Sieg’s older sister, and a crack shot with a rifle. Don’t ask Kohana how he met her, all you’ll get is a glare and a growl, and maybe worse depending on his mood.

Twitchy – A mysterious character from Kohana’s home, Twitchy keeps an eye on the boy to make sure he doesn’t cause too much trouble. He’s usually found watching birds, or acting like one. Covered head to foot with a wide brimmed hat, glasses, and a poncho, Twitchy is a sort of walking scarecrow that never fails to stop Kohana’s mischief before it starts.

Hie Coyote – Kohana’s cousin, and a fellow vessel. Hie likes to pick at her cousin whenever opportunity presents itself, and to date he’s never gotten the better of her. The two act like kids when they’re going at it, much to the chagrin of everyone around them. Outside of her dealing with Kohana, Hie is a pleasant person and is generally well-liked. She shares her cousin’s temper; do not ever bring this up.

Since you designed Hie Coyote (in the RP where SinrXIII's characters were originally from - on another forum) could I get some input from you on her power-set, bio, costume and all that other stuff? Control of her's a little in question too - we (Sin, you and I) will have to work something out, I think.

Speaking of that, for players, the general rule I've settled on is that Mentor Figures, Faculty Members and Parents* will be controlled by me when they do enter the game in some regard, and the Student Characters in your relationships will remain under your control unless I say otherwise. You may get PM'd an abbreviated character sheet for them as well if they have powers.

Right now, the only non-parent NPCs I'll be controlling off your relationship sheets are Krylo's Morrigan, Dante's Sophia Andrews and maybe SinrXIII's Sieglind Tressel (I'm not sure yet, but leaning toward controlling him). There's a handful of others I'm considering taking control of, but I'd prefer to wait until they appear in the game at least once first, so I can get a better feel for their personalities.

If either of you (Krylo and Dante) would like to use them in a scene, just contact me via IM or PM or something like that.

*Nephthys Whitewrap is an exception for now, I'd like to see what Bishoujo has in mind for her Personality first.

I ended up not doing that, and forgot again. Since Michael got isolated I kinda got bored, but if he was thrown back into the mix I'd be more inclined to post.

Edit - I should point out that I have not been reading along, and a quick glimpse of the discussion says I've missed stuff.

Edit 2 - Depending on when you do your next time skip, I could throw in a post about how Michael had to paint for hours before the lunch thing, then just him getting lunch and possibly reactions or something. If it's not by tonight I could get that out.

Otherwise, if he doesn't come to tomorrow's homeroom, we'll work something else out.

She's a member of the Archery, Botany and Pottery clubs, and is placed in the Advanced Section of each.

It is, alas, far more likely that I will be the one to slow my own game down. Don't worry your pretty little head Riin.

I believe the game's scenes are beginning to wrap up as we speak - so the Field of Honor's timeskip is anywhere between a few days to two weeks away, if my estimation is accurate. Since I'll be timeskiping a little under twenty-four-hour's worth of time, I'd like you all to consider what your characters will be doing in the meantime. Any off-screen actions that you want to have some implication on tomorrow's duel will need to be submitted to me in advance.

I'll send out some PMs of my own to ask what you all did during the timeskip when the scenes end, so you've got until then to lay out your sinister plans. Just remember that they may not work/may backfire!

Also there may be some private Real-Time-RPing involved. Depends on the actions submitted.

Appearance: Kain has straight white-blonde hair that hangs just past his ears, and piercing grey-blue eyes. Kain is tall and thin with a very muscular build coming in at around 6’1” (yeah… no Canada Conversion for you, Wer-er-Teal, because this is America. And we speak American) 150lbs (approx 68kg). Kain wears an electronic collar used as a tracking device and steel bands around his wrist. He wears black leather pants and black boots with buckles right where the ankle bends. He has a blue leather jacket with white sleeves normally rolled up to his elbows and he wears no-finger gloves. Kain wears a blue hat matching his jacket with a white patch across the front. He has a large tattoo of a hawk with a serpent clutched in its talons on his back from shoulder to shoulder.

Personality: Very gentle and easy-going. He’s quite passive unless provoked or sticking up for someone (or himself). Kain wants to put his past behind him and move on. He’s trying to live a new life and make up for the time that he is lost. He’s very bright, and quite out-going when comfortable.

Background: Kain is an ex-con. Kain had been charged with the murder of his two parents in a small town in the western United States. He was sentenced to death in a Texas Penitentiary. He spent two years in jail. On the day of his death by electrocution, he was entirely unharmed by the electric chair. He was released shortly after the attempted electrocution on a mistrial that found him not guilty. He began honing his electrokinetic skills after being discovered by a magical organization and was shortly enrolled into the institute.

Abilities: Charge palm strike (lvl 1) Kain delivers a punishing palm strike charged with electricity to any unlucky opponent. It sends a wave of electricity through an opponent’s body. Mildly draining to Kain.
Electricity resistance. Self-explanatory. The reason he didn’t cook like a bird in the chair.

Psionic Shield (lvl 1) : A 6ft by 3ft (roughly 2m by 1m) near invisible shield created by the mind. Effective for a period of time against most physical attacks.

Clubs: Kick-boxing, Kendo, History.

Most of the character's fine, but no relationships? I know he was in jail, but one assumes he'd at least have a minder or something watching him. Mistrial or not, he was a suspect for a reason.

Anyway, I'm afraid I'm I'll be too busy for the next week to Timeskip to a battle scene without making the game entirely stall-out in the meantime. So, I'll schedule the time skip for next Saturday (or early Sunday Morning). Until that time, please feel free to continue your scenes - or just wait if you can.

@Ironmajesty, you'll have to wait until the Field of Honor stuff starts to post in the game - a new character entering at the end of a scene would make it start again, and it would (probably) be better to work toward ending those right now. 'course, you aren't approved yet, so it may not matter.

Relationships: Kurt Basan. "Twin of Kain" actually, a friend. He manipulates fire. He's almost identical to Kain except he has red hair and brown eyes. He's an inch shorter than Kain and has a completely different personality.

Neimi. Kain's extremely attractive probation officer who has taken quite the liking to Kain but must remain professional. Her gold blonde hair spills past her alabaster shoulders like springs of honey mead. Her full ample breasts are barely covered by... Wait... Wrong show... She's stacked. And about 5'10" with glasses. Smokin'.
