Just looking if there is any interest in running a long term DnD campaign chatbased (all my normal players are literally half a world away).
I'd be happy to DM a 3.5ed campaign (because I've done that lots and know it well) or play a 4th ed if people wanted that( I'm not as familiar with 4hed).
If anyone wants to learn how o play I'm also happy to teach them beforehand.
I'm on Britain times though (GMT or GMT+1) so probably won't work for Americans unless they on bizarro schedules. Would probably be looking either weeknights or some time morning-afternoonish weekend depending on when people are free.

I'm an American on a bizarro schedule! I kinda know how to play. I have done so before, but it was some time ago.

Normally I'd totally jump on this (and it actually kind of matches my completely messed up sleep schedule) but I am actually trying to retrain myself to a normal schedule so my commute isn't a living hell. Also, I have about a metric crap ton of literature to read and the real homework hasn't even started yet.

What time is bizzaro time to you?

I do like D&D and I'm in a close enough timezone. Consider me tentatively interested. Never done the online RPing thing though.

I'd prefer 4E, I could even DM a 4E campaign but I can tell you right away chat only isn't going to cut it for combat, you do need some sort of visual representation in that system.

Hey, I'm square GMT and interested! I'm not picky about 3.5 or 4e either, though 3.5's the one I have experience with.

Yeah I haven't done any online rp before either so if anybody more experienced has suggestions/watns to organise that'll be awesome. My thought was that'll it be just like tabletop but can't see each other which is pretty naive probably.

I'll have a look at systems over the weekend is my plan.

Bizarro time is like normal time +6-8 hours? it would depend on what time is good for anyone.

Probably be easier if people state what kind of times that would be free and what role they want to play-
I'm free pretty much all nights from 7pm till early and weekends from like 10-5pm normally (though I'm pretty flexible) (all times are GMT+1).
I'm good with either DMing or playing, I far more experienced at DM but I quite like playing as well. 3.5ed is my pref but I'm ok with 4th if people don't mind.

Colour me interested. I only have a small bit of knowledge of 3.5

If I had to guess I'd say major problems could be how to prevent everyone typing at once, and of course the map thing. I hear maptools is pretty good for the latter at least and can accomodate different systems, might want to look into that.

Anyway I'm in GMT+1, I could easily make evenings Monday-Thursday but no weekends at all.

Yeah, I guess I should say I have only played 3.5. And your timezone won't affect me too much. I might be dead tired sometimes, but I have friends in Italy and France that I communicate with regularly. I have a friend in Germany, but he is annoyed that I keep putting off my study abroad.
