I'm liking what I'm seeing. The gameplay is very much a Mikami thing. It looks standard RE4 third person shooter, but with a bit more action element to it, like where he kicks through the wooden wall. The style is all Suda though, and it seems to be good Suda, not pretentious artsy Suda.
The protagonist actually looks unique. Hispanic characters are something I don't see often in video games, and I don't think I've ever seen a Hispanic protagonist. He is neither effeminate prettyboy or muscley space marine, too, which is nice.
Plot is a "Guy goes to hell to save his wife" or something thing, which has been done before, but not something I've really seen much in games, and will most likely take it in a different direction from where it has been done before.
The visual style is just fantastic, as is the music. (Music is by Akira Yamaoka, the Silent Hill guy) So yeah, I'm pretty pumped for this game.
