And the next attempt has arrived, two choices are up in the air for everybody this time one of which I have tried before. One I saw tried before but that never left the ground. Both will have minor hiatus after the choice for me to reread the material in such depth that nothing could pass my hawk eyes, and to fish out a proper storyline. Either way we have two things.
Don't Rest Your Head (http://www.evilhat.com/home/dryh/), REDUX: This time I'm probably not going to let in anyone who doesn't already have a copy worth staring at mostly because a lot of stuff petered out from people not knowing what they were getting into. Even me. So with a better idea of where I would like to lead the story, and those participating with a better idea of how to build their person we can have some grand happiness playing Insomniacs with Superpowers!
Minor Explanation for those in the need: Don't Rest Your Head is a game of madness and insomnia. Inside of it you will be playing a resident of an ambiguous city and you haven't slept for quite some time. Long enough that you've crossed some kind of threshold and are starting to see doorways to another world, known as The Mad City. A place where Nightmares are real and they have a certain craving for you, and the only means to fight back are through powers fueled by exhaustion and insanity. Where thoughts and emotions can be made to have form and bought and sold by these odd residents. Where people no longer HAVE a job but ARE their job. It is where you will go, to find some solution to whatever is kept you up so long to find this place, or just to escape the problems entirely. Until you find it you can only survive, the nightmares slowly creeping into your reality till there is nowhere to hide. In the end there is only one rule, Stay Awake, Don't Rest Your Head.
Genius: The Transgression (http://sites.google.com/site/moochava/genius): On the other side of madness we get Genius, a fan made system meant to be in the same world as the New World of Darkness games by White Wolf. Within it you will be one of many Geniuses, people who have within them the ability to create magnificent wonders of science that defy the rules of reality, but crumble in the face of actual science. The why is debated, things like there actually being rules in the universe and you having the ability to overcome them, or that there have been groups who established these truths in the masses for the exact purpose of making your personal skills turn to ashes and that the whole world is capable of being turned to the truth and malleability of the universe. Either way the constant inspiration to create and whatever catalyst that started it pushes you ever onward in your mad science. Because, maybe one day you'll finally show them all.
Anyway show off the interest, I know the explanations are more ramble than clear, but that comes from my rusty memories of the systems themselves. Genius may be significantly easier for all simply because it is available for free, but both options are open for anyone willing to toss their hat in. So with that, lets see what we get.
EDIT, hurry only eight people have...oh hey. One more thing I felt like tagging on that I've just been afraid to run for a while.
Band RP: I like the idea of a music RP, I swear I do. And I got ideas, loads just in directing one. Though I've only ever seen them DIE. This'll be my non-stat oriented RP in the choice matters and it comes with multiple start points that I will update the interest thread to include if it turns out that this one becomes the winner. Because as I said I've been wanting to do this for EVER but I've just been scared of the possibility of failing. Bad.
