In (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/01/rick-sanchez-jon-stewart-_n_746764.html) case you missed the debacle last week. And The Daily Show's Monday response (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/05/jon-stewart-rick-sanchez-daily-show-video_n_750396.html).
Basically Rick Sanchez belives that the Daily Show/ Colbert Report occasional jabs at him are caused by their inherit racism towards his ethnicity instead of his constant bumbling. Also he says some anti-semetic stuff that he probably doesn't believe.
Rick Sanchez - Racist, or Moron?
Karrrrrrrrrrrresche

Moron.
As far as I'm learned on the situation, a self obsessed, persecution complex bearing moron.

Gotta agree. From what I can see, this dude's a moron. And a whiner. And a dolt.
I could give a fuck less what happens to anyone on CNN, MSNBC, or Fox News, honestly. I like to make up my own mind about issues. Even so, this guy's an asshat among the highest caliber.

Moron, he picked up the Asshat of CNN Award after Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck left the channel.

Having watched Rick's List everyday after work for like, a year, I can say in complete knowledge the man is one of the most annoying anchors on daytime news, especially CNN.
Give me Don Lemon any day of the week. Sweet, sweet Don Lemon. Give me the news with your dulcet tones. Soothe my brainwaves while informing me of murders, Donny.

I think there is more than just this going on. CNN isn't going to fire someone for comments made on a Sirius Radio Show and he was given his own show to BE opinionated.
Nope, we got something more beneath the surface.

man, somebody do something about this, please?

There's "being opinionated" and then there's outright stating that Jon Stewart poking fun at him is part of a global effort against him and hispanics in general perpetrated by the Jew-controlled media. Which is what he did.
It is very much the sort of thing that gets you fired from TV shows.

Eh?
Also is anyone else seeing Mormon -dot - org ads in this thread. Not seeing the connection, google ads. :/
EDIT: Ok for reals if that has anything to do with using the word 'Moron', that is pretty messed up.

You can't spell Moroni without moron!
And also, you can't spell Moron (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moron_%28Book_of_Mormon%29) without moron either, I guess.

What's great is, if his comments weren't completely detached from reality, they'd just like... be really fucking stupid to say.
EDIT: Thinking about it, I wonder if this wasn't s'much Sanchez being inexplicably stupid as him just putting in for a job at Fox News.

I'm not going to give him credit for being savvy enough to have intended for that, but my first thought when hearing about it is that Fox would probably be happy to take him and make a big deal about how he got screwed over by the lib'rul lame stream media.
They hired Ollie North and Geraldo Rivera. I can't imagine that they feel Rick Sanchez is somehow beneath them.

They're going to make him their go-to guy for saying how anyone who criticizes Israel is anti-semitic.

anyone who criticises anyone ever is anti-semetic. Also homophobic and possibly sexist.
This is a thing now, that we have to deal with.

Kinda figure at some point Fox is gonna hit the arrogant douchebag anchor/talking head critical mass. But I think they've passed that point and are now spraying out dick ions causing Tea Party brain cancer amongst the idiots in the US.

Sanchez was already on his way out. CNN had been advertising the heck out of the upcoming Spitzer & somebody else show. His rant was just a good reason to ditch him early.

You're only saying that because of your anti-anti-semetic prejudice.

Also I'd just like to mention that despite his last name the last thing I ever though Rick Sanchez was a Hispanic. That'd be like me thinking Gordon Freeman was black just because his last name is Freeman, like Morgan Freeman or something. Like if you asked me my opinion on his race I'd have said I figured he had some ancestor who was Hispanic or Spanish before reading this and it was just a family name or something.
I mean seriously I just never acknowledged even in even a minor way in my brain, even subconsciously, that Rick Sanchez was Hispanic, until I read this thread. I have a hard time believing that anybody would pick on Rick Sanchez for being Hispanic when I never even subconsciously realized he was Hispanic.
Like nothing about this guy invites Hispanic stereotypes or racist insults or anything. He's just some white dude with a Hispanic last name. To even have thought that somebody was being prejudiced against him because he was Hispanic seems entirely impossible, unless you are Rick Sanchez, I guess.

I'm sure this is somehow totally offensive but this was pretty much my thought.

To be fair, he used to have a REALLY (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Sanchez) Hispanic name.

Sanchez and his wife, Suzanne, have three sons and one daughter: Ricky Jr.; Robby; Remington; and Savannah.

I think he's a Hispanic dude who twigged real fast that the best way to get ahead in this country is to be as white as a human being can possibly be, which makes his :argh: JEW MEDIA :argh: outburst even more hilarious.

Fifth, stop being a race-baiter, that's not true anymore, we have a black president now! you're as bad as Rick Sanchez!

"Ricardo León "Rick" Sánchez de Reinaldo"
See if the guy had this name maybe somebody would realize he's Hispanic and hate on him for that instead of for just being a dork.

There will never be a day when I don't think back on Stewart's delivery of that line and giggle like a stoned 8-year-old.

I'd watch his show if he kept his name. 'Rick's List' sounds douchey. 'Ricardo Leon's Hot Picks of the Week' sounds exciting!
There will never be a day when I don't think back on Stewart's delivery of that line and giggle like a stoned 8-year-old.
I was hoping someone would pick up on that. Lines like this this are why I wish they would release 'The Daily Show' on DVD.

One problem with a Daily Show DVD is it is so topical that watching old episodes of it would be even worse than watching old episodes of say, South Park, whose topics seem outdated nowadays, but are still watchable due to South Parky-things in them that aren't just references to celebrities or pop culture or politics of the time period.
What could work is a Best of The Daily Show skit DVD that has skits and stories and so on that they did that withstand the test of time.
