So um I hit the post button for this thread (http://www.nuklearforums.com/showthread.php?t=38894) and my post disappeared into nowhere somehow.

That doesn't give me a lot to go on but I will see what I can find out?

It's obvious, you somehow observed the post's precise velocity, at which point its location became completely indeterminate.
Duh.

Yeah, really. You have three posts in that thread as it is. What vanished? When did it happen? Did you really post? Did you see any message about what you posted and then get sent back to the thread? etc.

Yeah sorry about that. The last post is kind of a reconstruction of what I tried to post just before that. I didn't save a copy of it or anything so I can't like show it to you. What happened was I wrote up the post, hit preview post like I always do to check for replies, then hit submit reply. Then I'm pretty sure the thread came up again right before I closed the tab accidentally but I could be wrong. Then I refreshed the thread and the post just wasn't there. It's not like I posted and it appeared and then disappeared. It's like it never existed in the first place. I'm 99% sure I hit submit reply but I could be wrong. It's not a huge deal just something I though you might want to be aware of.

With just one post in question, it's also possible that the tab was closed before the post was actually sent and saved on the server in the database. If you had posted and then it loaded the thread like it does [well, I guess some users set it to go back to the forum you posted in and not the thread?] and seen no post, that's certainly a problem! I guess the only thing we can do, unless this is recreatable easily, is just keep our eyes out, as a forum community, for posts not posting as potential evidence of a server issue or connection problems, perhaps.

You wrote up the post, were about to post it, realized that you really really needed a bowl of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese-Flavoured Product and closed your browser and went to go make it, erasing the post which you believed you had posted but, in fact, never had.
