So yeah. (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/oct/07/hungary-sludge-spill-reaches-danube)

Basically, an alumina plant in Hungary had a big leak and puked toxic waste all over. The scary thing is that it's hitting the Danube, and if it isn't stopped, it could be fucking over the water supply for several countries. And this is pretty hardcore melt-your-flesh-off toxic waste we're talking about.

Anyone else heard anything about this?

I heard according to the company in charge of this retention pool that under EU guidelines this stuff isn't considered toxic, despite burning people and containing large amounts of lead and other dangerous chemicals.

Clearly your topic title needs edited to its correct standard of truth!
