So MTV's been looking to revive the show Punk'd. And they got themselves a new host. (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/us_bieber)

Frankly, I think the show was only moderately entertaining on occasion while Ashton Kutcher was pulling the strings. Now they have this little maggot (http://www.motifake.com/image/demotivational-poster/small/1002/justin-bieber-justin-bieber-demotivational-poster-1265981646.jpg) as the face of the show?

I think I'm gonna swear off MTV... I could've sworn they wanted more entertaining programming, but I guess I should've realized that wasn't the case when they took Beavis and Butthead off the air.

remember when Music Television used to play music?

Didn't they take that off the air back in the mid-90s? (Talking about B&B)

Then again, I'm of the mindset that they started to suck by the time they realized "Real World" was more popular then it's music videos.

Forgive me for not giving a damn, but so the hell what? When Ashton Kutcher was on board, it was because he was popular at the time, or so I was led to believe. So, they're reviving the show, and they're going to pick someone who *gasp* is popular now. Shock and horror.

I take it you haven't heard the news? (http://www.nypost.com/p/entertainment/tv/they_re_back_PZVN8lcKHQYVIYx3xAJRtM)

That's the best damn news I've heard all year.

You know, it's funny. Just this morning I was thinking to myself, "God I wish MTV would go ahead, and bring back Punk'd. Hey wouldn't it be awesome if Justin Bieber hosted it?"

Seriously, I give that kid three years before they find him in an alleyway somewhere strung out on meth, and dumpster diving for his next meal in a hookers underpants.

And they're returning to their roots too? Well that's interesting.

That's what I said in an earlier thread; if you're going to do a *shudder* biography of the little twerp, at least wait until AFTER the drug and hooker phase. That's the most interesting part.

Luckily, Bieber's being the new host should bring in a whole new legion of fans to watch MTV: Chickenhawks.

Honestly, I think everything Denis Leary ever said about Hanson is true for this guy only worse, because at least (and I can NOT believe I am about to say this) Hanson had at least some musical talent. Has anyone seen Bieber pick up a musical instrument. How about LOOK at one?

The only way this will be good is if they've aged in realtime.

EDIT: I can't believe that anyone anywhere seriously thinks that Beavis and Butthead Are Dead did not hit the exact mark of the precise amount of exactly as much Beavis and Butthead as ever needed to exist in the world.

He plays an acoustic guitar. He use to post videos of his songs and himself playing long before some dead beat producer on the verge of being fired pluck him from Canada simply because his videos had high views (or something along that line). So he does have talent and can sing pretty decently. He's just suffering from Fan Dumb right now. (being over hyped to ridicules levels because of his appearance)

Yeah, I was kind of just making a joke earlier about the chickenhawks but his appearance does seem to cater directly to 1. teenage girls (boys?) interested in yaoi and 2. chickenhawks. It doesn't exactly speak "Punk'd" to me on any level (nor musical aptitude but I guess he must have it?)

I mean Kutcher was/is an asshat but at least he kind of fit the bill of what I could maybe guess a host of "Punk'd" as being, which is an asshat.

Of course, if I am reading the topic title correctly, MTV is punking us the audience by saying that Bieber will be the host when in fact he will not. This seems to be the only sane option (well, besides not ever bringing back "Punk'd" at all since it and all the other shows are horrible horrible excuses for "shows".)

After watching the VMAs this year I'd say he's ok at playing the drums too.

Ok, this is not the 'we love Bieber thread' so let's all get back to the topic at hand, of not loving Bieber, and instead talking about how stupid Punk'd and it's hosts are.

Actually I liked Punk'd most of the time. Some of the setups weren't great, but the show wasn't bad. And who loves Bieber? I just don't hate him.
