So yeah, another discussion because you people can really fill up a thread. I decided to give you guys a break and hopefully motivate you guys into moving as well.

...
I'd make a comment about how we spend hours discussing tactics only for the DM to solve our problem with a huge explosion, but fuck it. I should have known better.
And I totally came out on top that time! Well, sorta.
And next time, I'll be able to plan Phil's actions better. Wheras Pete's sorta revealed his hand. Hey, this might not be so bad!

You wanted to sit around and wait, we wanted to leave.
How did you come out on top?
Your bio says something about Pete being good and science and engineering, but he hasn't shown much of that, yet. I'm sure he will to some degree, but I still have a sneaking suspicion that others are better at it, both the engineering and the science.
Dude, go fuck yourself. I'm an engineering major. What exactly do you want me to showcase my engineering knowledge on in a room with a couch and some snacks?
Wildneress survival is another thing... Collin knows about it, and it sure as hell is gonna be useful later.
Pete grew up in the wilderness. He can hike, fish, hunt, build a fire, etc, whatever.
Bard's good with Rifles and Fire. Both will be useful in time. I mean, yeah, Pete has played airsoft. But Airsoft gives you good aim, at most. But even if your aim's pretty good, you need to know how to maintain a gun, handle and load it as well as fire it. People who've owned and have been firing actual guns would be better at that than you, even though Pete's experience would probably make him way better at it than, say, Phil is.
I have handled rifles. I know how to maintain, load, and fire them, although I may take a moment to learn the specific operations of a particular rifle I am not familiar with. Maybe Bard is a better shot or something than me, but why you would want to use a rifle anyway with fast zombies is beyond me. Good luck aiming for the head and hitting in close quarters (the only time you would need to shoot a zombie anyway). You don't need to aim as much with a shotgun and it would do more damage.
Krogo has computer skills, which will definitely help us while we're still near civilization.
Can do.
Pete has a good skill set, but unless you're saying he can do everything we can do, he certainly could use our help!
Pete can do a solid majority of what everyone else can do, and even for what he can't do, he feels the drawbacks outweigh the benefits. And you may have noticed he's somewhat of a loner? Anti-social? If I were playing this straight I'd probably ditch all or most of you guys, but I'm trying to keep at least MOST of the players together and playing this how I would if I for some reason needed to stay with the group.
Not saying some of the group wouldn't be perfectly well off in the apocalypse, but still.

I would post, but it'd be too short.
Assume Bard is following in begrudging silence.

Okay, dude, before you tell me to go fuck myself (not that it's necessary to tell me, but anyway), take a good solid look at Pete's bio. It says nothing about being an engineering major, nothing about wilderness survival skills, nothing about computers (except for some vague 'technical knowlege'), nothing about being able to maintain shotguns or rifles. It's nice that you have all those skills, but your character most definitely does not.
And insulting me for going by the stuff that you put in your bio? Yeah, no. That shit? Doesn't fly. I'm not sure how serious you were, but y'know what? Whether or not you meant it, doesn't really matter right now. Shut up with the insults until
a) I deserve it
or
b) we know each other better.
Neither is currently the case, just as an FYI.
And hey, all I know is that you somehow thought that the gas was still in the room, when it was pretty obvious, from scientific deduction, that this was probably not the case. From that I extrapolated to your engineering knowlege, perhaps wrongly so. We'll see. :)
Okay well it doesn't say on your sheet that you speak english so I'm going to assume you don't speak english, kay? The basis of the game was "your character is yourself". I posted MAJOR skills as I thought everyone did. I hardly see it as relevant to post every little thing I might be good at.
Unless the gas somehow phases through the floor or is sentient and purposefully seeks out living creatures, it is still present in the air, likely in small amounts.
Sorry, did you become a mod when I wasn't looking? I think I'll tell you to go fuck yourself if I damn well feel like it.

It said post skills you are really good at. I'm not saying that you're bad at Engineering or science or whatever field you're in, but I think Gem is right, you should have included that.
Really, if we are supposed to be our characters, neither of you are doing much to compliment for your image IC or OOC.

Yes. The basis was 'the character is yourself'. That's why you were supposed to add your own skills to your character sheet. I thought that was sorta the point of a skill list, so everyone has an overview over what everyone else can do.
And that comparison is stupid. There's certain basics, of course. Everyday stuff, that we can do, that's taken for granted. Language, for one. Reading. Basic atheltic ability.
And then there's skills.
(These are things you are noticably good at. Don't list things that you are average at, just things that you can do that you don't expect average joe to be able to do)
Yeah. If you're noticabley good at it, beyond average, you list it. You don't list it, it's not a skill of yours. That's sorta the way I interpreted this whole thing.
Of course you don't post every little thing. But 'Wilderness survival skills', 'The ability to clean and maintain guns' or 'an engineering major' doesn't really count as minor stuff. You mentioned vaguely that you're good at science and engineering and like to build stuff, but that really doesn't amount to nearly the kind of professional expertise you're suddenly claiming.
Not to mention that Pete's 18. Unless he's some kind of prodigy, I really don't think he'd have an engineering major by now. Or even be done with the first year of college.
Unless the gas somehow phases through the floor or is sentient and purposefully seeks out living creatures, it is still present in the air, likely in small amounts.
Yeah, small amounts. Amounts small enough that we can't percieve them. Since it seemed to take a perceptible amount of gas to cause that reaction in us, it's sorta void in the context of the argument, since you were claiming that, since the gas was still around us and we weren't being affected, we were immune. Whether the gas is absent, or just present in miniscule amounts doesn't really matter. And yeah, like I said. I did chemistry for half a year, and I know that. I really don't see you, or, in extension, Pete, having that much scientific knowlege.
Which is fine, I mean you can't do everything. Though it seems that you'd like to.
Sorry, did you become a mod when I wasn't looking? I think I'll tell you to go fuck yourself if I damn well feel like it.
Please don't. I feel really hurt. :)

TDK, Geminex, drop it. NOW. End of discussion of this line. I'll handle it from here, and I don't want to see anyone get worked up over anyone else's character sheets. You have a problem, pm me.
