I guess I shouldn't be too surprised - a lot of people I know interested in performing can usually dance and sing, if not act. Mr. Patinkin may be celebrated for his role as Inigo Montoya, performed very well with a very memorable line, but The Princess Bride - to me, at least - has overshadowed his other works.

He's pretty good in Evita, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvRfjxR1ovQ) I hear.

Has anyone seen anything of his? Is he good? His singing is fantastic - he's got a good falsetto.

Anyway, he was a fantastic addition to the cast of Dead Like Me (which was honestly an amazing cast regardless) and he was the only reason I ever bothered to watch Criminal Minds. Which he's not on anymore.

So fuck Criminal Minds.

I guess joking about giving him a hard time comes off as me actually being serious.

First, I was surprised that the guy was great in opera. Second, I honestly don't give Seil a hard time about any of his posts in recent memory, or almost any other time. So it was more a "wow, Seil, good post and good find" than "Dangit Seil, this is a waste of time."

See personally I would have posted something like

to make it clear that you are complimenting Seil and mocking such people as might see this thread and reflexively say "goddammit Seil", and not, yourself, saying goddammit in response to this thread by Seil.

Alternately you could go for like, eschewing capitalization and punctuation, which I find to be a more nicely understated method of indicating that a post is not meant to be taken as a sincere statement of opinion.

Alternatively, folks could realize that "jokingly" giving Seil a hard time is almost just as old as genuinely doing it.
