View Full Version : What happened to the Order of the Stick thread?

I have noticed in the past few months that the OOTS thread has mysteriously disappeared from media consumption. Has it been moved somewhere else? Anyways, if it has simply vanished, I would like to officially restart the thread dedicated to a web comic that I have enjoyed just about as much as 8-Bit Theater.
Boy, Tarquin is really starting to show just how evil he is, and yet Elan is still having trouble catching on. I wonder if they will ever find that gate that they were looking for?
I dunno. I like Order of the Stick, but I just don't feel as attached to it as I used to. *shrug* It's good, but it's just that thing I check out of habit anymore.

I really adored how in the previous strip, Elan interposed himself between the two, and stopped the fight so that someone could explain what was going on.
That kind of thing is so rare that it's a delight to see our heroes actually trying to improve communications.

You guys just haven't posted in it recently.
It's still here. (http://www.nuklearforums.com/showthread.php?t=35072)
If you are not seeing it in the Media Consumption forum section, then you have your Thread Age Cutoff setting too low. You can change this by logging into your User CP, selecting "Edit Options", and scrolling down to the "Thread Display Options" section and selecting a different cutoff. I personally just use all threads.
I don't recall if this also affects the threads shown when performing a search in the forum.

I've just been using the "when a webcomic updates and..." thread since there doesn't seem to be much demand for any continuous, individual comic threads besides Homestuck these days.

I always assumed it was more because they update so rarely. Odd to have a thread for something that updates twice a month
Though I think even Elan is starting to put two and two together

We have a Warbot thread too.
also the last 6-7 comics mostly came out within no more than four days of each other, excluding an oversized one, but then there was only one day between the latest two.

I was saying why the old thread died. I also suspect sudden pick up is related to resurfacing interest

I read the latest comic,
freaked when I read the name "Tyranaria",
was amused by the "red" joke,
Re-read the guy's name,
re-read the "red" joke,
and proceeded to flip. out.

Also, I think the other guy is her uncle or something.

Her uncle?
When did he come into the picture?
And Locke, you weren't the only one.

on the upside, atleast that did the trick.

I don't want to laugh but...

Welp, I'm pretty certain Elan gets it now. 200-foot-tall flaming letters and all that.
It's kinda tragic, though. Tarquin seems to really love Elan, but he's still an outright asshole to literally everyone else.

He should then proceed to run the Legion (which I assume is some sort of evil world-controlling group in that game's 'verse, which I know nothing about) and use it to take over every government.
Covertly.

thats more independent. While you can work covertly to undermind the other factions the game kind of forces you to reveal yourself at the end as the one behind this the entire time.

Is it wrong I hear "Exquisite" being read in Raul Julia's voice?

I am now rather convinced that his class, primarily, is also bard.

A Bard-Warrior/Blackguard?
Wonder how well THAT can get played in an actual game.

as a PC, not so sure, but using your bard skills to subtly manipulate people would probably be pretty good skill.

seems he is more then just a bard, and actually the same build. This makes it all the better

So are we going to have two threads about OOTS after having no thread for a couple months? It is ok with me. Tarquin looks to be as significant an opponent as Nale, maybe even more so since he does not seem to get caught up in convoluted plans. He really is Lawful Evil. Chaotic Good Elan is in for tough time, and I wonder what Tarquin has planned for the rest of the Order.

I feel a little disappointed in myself that I had to look up foil to understand the joke.
