Ordered the Red Wii bundle today with 'New Super Mario Bros.' and 'Wii Fit' ... it also comes with 'Epic Mickey', which I'm somewhat excited about.
I bought some extra games just to prep for the Wii's arrival (is being shipped)So far my collection will be:
-Epic Mickey
-New Super Mario Bros.
-Wii Sport/fit/whatever
-Super Mario Galaxy
-The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
-Mario & Sonic at the Olympic
So let's talk about that! Which games should I start playing? What are your game recomendations?

In addition to the games you have?
No More Heroes.
Dragon Quest Swords.
Got those? Beat them?
Good. You can throw the Wii away now.
If you're willing to get Motion+, I would highly recommend Red Steel 2 (http://www.gamepad-dojo.com/?p=1157).
Also check out Okami, if you never played the PS2 version, and No More Heroes.

Mad World was pretty fun if you like over the top games.

Yeah. Mad World was pretty good. Great soundtrack, too. Only complaint was how repetitive it felt after a while. Still, worth checking out.

You like Sport games? Pro Evolution Soccer is super fun. Also Tiger Woods, and Any Tennis game on the Wii is awesome.
Just Dance 1 and 2, You should have it.
The Michael Jackson experience is out now. If you are a fan.
Xenoblade, The Last Story, Arc Rise Fantasia are coming or out there now if you like RPG's.
There is also Modern Warfare Reflex and Call of Duty Black Ops and Goldeneye for your inner shooter fan.
There is DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for your Fighting Needs and Some people seem to like the latest Naruto Shippuden Fighting games too (not my Cup of tea) also WWE Vs Smackdown 2011 is awesome too
The Sims 3 is out for the Wii also, could be worth it.
Excite Trucks and Excitebots are 2 really fun Racers. There is also the latest Need For Speed entries that are also good.
Bloombox 2 is also very awesome and relaxing to play. Sonic Colors seems to be a popular Option too...
NBA Jam is also a ton of fun if you have Friends to play with
Monster Hunter Tri is out htere if you like grinding
The LEGO Series (specially Harry Potter and Star Wars) Seem to be pretty good
You can get mos of these (except the new ones) pretty cheap if you look around a bit.

That is a super fun game that I need to make some time for.
The motion+ is apparently coming standard on newer Wiimotes, so that will be cool, probably.

Sonic Colors seems worth the money. Same goes for Donkey Kong Country Returns.
Add them to your future collection.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was pretty good. I haven't played the new Metroid, Other M, and probably never will, but I DID enjoy Metroid Prime 3.
Super Paper Mario was fun, if you're into rpg-ish stuff, although the final boss was a bit disappointing if I remember correctly.
The remade version of Pikmin is pretty fun with the wiimote controls, although the game itself can be ragequit-worthy at times. As a warning, it's not very forgiving (collect 30 ship parts in as many days or DIE HORRIBLY-- don't be surprised if you lose during your first playthrough) but it's a fun game whether you win or not.
Rayman Ravin' Rabbids is a decent party game, although some of the multiplayer stuff in the original is a little disappointing.
Super Smash Bros: Brawl isn't bad if you don't try to take it too seriously.
Trauma Center is okay if I remember correctly, but it didn't have much in the way of replayability.
If you're lookin' for Gamecube stuff, I'd recommend Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Metroid Prime, and Legend of Zelda: Windwaker.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Tell me more about Fire Emblem - I'm looking to expand my Gamecube collection but I have all the stuff you mentioned already besides this.
Actually, for Metroid Prime, just get the Metroid Trilogy thing for the Wii.

Tell me more about Fire Emblem - I'm looking to expand my Gamecube collection but I have all the stuff you mentioned already besides this.
It's a strategy game-- You recruit and command various classes of soldiers throughout the game and then lead them into battle.
There is a plot-- and Path of Radiance boasts a fairly engaging one spanning several kingdoms.
My favorite part of the Fire Emblem system is that all of your minions are unique individuals with their own backstories, personalities and motivations for joining you. Throught the course of the game you get the opportunity for those units to interact and form friendships with your main character and each other, depending on who you bring into battle and what they experience.
The downside to such characters? The game kills them off permanently if they fall in battle. So if you lose a minion because you put them somewhere stupid on the battlefield and they got shot full of arrows, they're gone forever unless you do what I do and hit the reset button on the Wii every time you lose a character you really like. The game also tends to guilt-trip you when they die: you'll get a "last words" speech from the minion who died just to make you feel worse. "Ah.... I shall never see my children again!" "I hope my younger brother will be okay all alone, now that I'm joining our murdered parents in heaven!" etc etc.
Gameplay is turn-based, with you moving your minions around a battlefield to achieve certain goals. Attacking enemy units brings you into an animated battle menu somewhat similar to Final Fantasy's random battles, wherin your minion and the enemy duke it out. You have control over what your minions do in said battle, too.
Gameplay is pretty fun and surprisingly involved. The various playable units have a rock-paper-scissors system of strengths and weaknesses against each other, and the game provides you with details on your character's chances to hit, do critical damage, or make multiple hits on their opponent before you even command them to attack, which is useful for planning which minion to hurl at which enemy.
I'm almost finished with Path of Radiance and haven't played any of the other Fire Emblem games, but I'd recommend it!

Tell me more about Fire Emblem - I'm looking to expand my Gamecube collection but I have all the stuff you mentioned already besides this.Adding to what Mauve said:
It's a tactical RPG series, emphasis on the "tactical". Besides the permadeath, you get a finite amount of resources (including experience) on a per-playthrough basis. There's no level grinding and no farming, so you'll have to make your resources count (not counting the high-risk arenas in the GBA games, and Sacred Stones in general)
The music is pretty fantastic overall, and that's really all there is to say on the matter.
While I'm on the subject, Radiant Dawn for the Wii is a direct sequel to POR, and is better in some ways, worse in others. Though most of the bad is the sort of thing you'll only notice if you're sufficiently 'into' the series. It's also much tougher than the other Fire Emblem games that made it out of Japan, so I wouldn't recommend it as your first venue into Fire Emblem.
Oh, Nique. Good question for you. I'm pretty sure you live in the states, but on the off-chance that you don't: Do you have a PAL Wii? Second question: Do you have a DS? If the answer to both questions is yes, then get Trace Memory (Another Code in PAL regions) for the DS. After you beat that, get Another Code R for the Wii, which is Trace Memory's sequel. I ask because, unfortunately, Another Code R was only release in Japan and PAL regions, and it really is an enjoyable game, assuming you like point-and-clicks. But, unless you have a PAL Wii, or a modded one, you can't play it. :(

Hey, Nique, download Sin and Punishment, then buy Sin and Punishment 2 if you thought anything like, "This would be better with non-f-tarded controls" about Sin and Punishment.
Also, totally backing up the Metroid Prime games (so, Trilogy) and Okami. Okami's really nifty, though the pop-in is a touch annoying.

A game I can only sorta kinda recommend is Fragile Dreams (http://www.gamepad-dojo.com/?p=1032), provided you change it to Japanese dub. It's one of those games that has some major flaws, but the good aspects make putting up with the flaws worth it.

I'm just gonna jump in real quick and recommend Donkey Kong Country Returns if you were a fan of the old ones back on the SNES. I've gone through the first two worlds and it's been fantastic so far.
Also the new Kirby is worth at least a rental. Awesome though it may be, it's tragically easy.
So DK and Kirby next to all the other games that'll be thrown into the pile.

Metroid Prime Trilogy is amazing (though I bought all the games over the years cause I actually had a Gamecube). Other M is ass though from what I've seen and tried.
One thing no one else mentioned is Muramasa the Demon Blade. It's a spiritual successor to Odin Sphere and is a pretty fun brawler with absolutely amazing 2D art.

Tales of Monkey Island
Dr. Mario
Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright and its sequels if you like PWAA
SNES - (Requires Classic Controller)
Breath of Fire II
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
N64 - (Requires Classic Controller)
Super Mario 64
Paper Mario
Yoshi Story
Tactics Ogre Person of Lordly Caliber

Just Dance 2

If there is any sens in you using your Wii for Party Purposes, you must have these.
Also, there is the Karaoke Games if you care to buy the Microphones... and talking about Accessories, you can buy a Gamecube Controller shapped like the Wii's Classic Controller, in case you prefer that design better.

If no one listed the Smash Bros. games, then I condemn each and every one of you.

Dokapon Kingdom is a brilliant multiplayer game. It's a combination of a party game and an RPG. It has the amazing ability to bring the subtleties of people's relationships to the forefront: i.e., if you play it with someone you sort of don't get along with, you're going to want to rip each others' throats out by one hour in, and if you play it with someone who eagerly wants to share the experiences that happen to you, you'll both have a great time. It's great for testing if someone is relationship material.
Monster Hunter Tri is an all-around fantastic action game. The learning curve is somewhat steep, but eventually things start to click, and it just feels good to play after that, like when you have that Megaman level perfectly memorized and you can run through without stopping. The online experience is great too (although the fact that you share "lives" can make you want to punch your teammates through the TV), but even the offline experience alone is enough to warrant the purchase.

I think you should start playing the New Super Mario Brothers. I borrowed it from my brother for a day and my best friend and I played the crap out of it. We pretty much could not stop until we beat it. It is a blast, but I love multiplayer games like that, and I love Mario platformers.

New Super Mario Bros Wii IS pretty damn fun, especially in multiplayer. Multiplayer is freakishly fun and often unintendedly hilarious because everything you do can have unforeseen bad consequences on your fellow "teammates." (Or maybe not so unforeseen if you're playing for the lulz. You can "accidentally" pick up fellow players and hurl them across the stage, "accidentally" steal powerups, "accidentally" use your teammate's head as a springboard to grab distant items and "accidentally" end up ruining said teammate's jump in the process, sending them off a cliff to their deaths.....) But it's a lot of fun with other people. It's a fairly difficult game, in my opinion (or maybe I just suck) but it's totally worth it.
Plus, the difficulty level is amusing in multiplayer because failure is everyone and everything's fault. As my sister so eloquently put it: "This is the only game where I can sit here and rage at the TV in a fake Mario voice and not worry about offending Player 2 in the process."
If you aren't play NSMBW as a versus game, you are playing it wrong.

It's a spiritual successor to Odin Sphere and is a pretty fun brawler with absolutely amazing 2D art.Play Muramasa with the Classic Controller. It doesn't work otherwise. However, it's a fantastic game if you can stand games that require immediate, reflex-based thought to win.

If not, skip it. If you have people, then it's an awesome, hateful experience you can't get in any other game.
Monster Hunter is another game I didn't recommend because it's hard. It takes a long time t accomplish anything at the beginning, and it takes a long time to accomplish anything important after that. However, a successful hunt against all odds gives a sense of satisfaction that you won't find in most modern games. Go for it if you want a long, long game that keeps on giving.
So, yeah, MH Tri and Muramasa are a little difficult, and Dokapon hates you, but they're all fantastic and in my library.

Definitely seconding this. While the gameplay isn't anything amazing, it's one of the most imaginative games on Wii, easily rivaling any Mario title. All the little details of the game are bursting with personality. How can you not love a game where one of the boss battles is an obese French monarch that you bounce around a field like a pinball? The soundtrack of creatively arranged classical tunes is fantastic too. I actually researched and starting listening to some old composers because of this game.
