It's come to my attention that some (and therefore presumably most) of NPF has not watched or even heard of some of the most fundamental and also outstanding experiences the Internet has to offer.

So in the interest of spreading the fun let me show you two worlds of wonder:

Sakupen (http://www.sakupen.com/movies.htm)'s Flash movies are kind of like Leonardo da Vinci's paintings in that there's not a lot of them. But they're well worth a watch. Five million watches according to Newgrounds. Dad's Home and its sequel remains some the the purest and most tightly paced absurdity I've ever seen, just for a start.

And then we have Nightmare City (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/355421) and its sequel (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/355430) by the little known Clairvoyance group, featuring epic battles and adventures with some kind of cute cat people as well as strange music by the Engrish rock band 403. It has inspired quite (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53qW-iFVRP4) a (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dAzA9aeVnA) few (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/315482) parodies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYxlSDJZbn0) too to enrichen our lives and make the colors more vivid and shit. May be a bit crude and offensive but I hesitate to call any of them NSFW.

Soo post your reactions I guess to give the thread some merit. Or if there's any short films by Flash or otherwise that you like to watch over and over for year after year and that you know are hugely popular yet unknown to NPF, we might talk about them too.

I'm gonna go ahead and say that Nightmare City is indeed something everyone should watch. I've seen it a while ago and almost forgot about it. Until now.

I never heard of that Sakupen person though. (Hearing that name is in progress, though)

When it comes to flash, as cool people already know, weebl (http://www.weebls-stuff.com/) is a goldmine. If you can't look at this (http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/aaaaaaaaaaaaahaha/) for an hour straight we can never be friends. weebl's most well known animation is probably Amazing Horse (http://www.weebls-stuff.com/songs/Amazing+Horse/).

Another flash animation everyone has probably already seen is The End Of The World (http://www.endofworld.net/endofworld.swf).

Will you just pretend to not know them for my sake? Please? Anyone?

Yeah, Nightmare City is great. It's like, an entire anime series condensed into five minutes. You can pretty much figure out the entire story just based on archetypes and imagery.

Fun fact about the End of Ze World video- I got a kid in trouble for watching that in the school library in 8th grade.

That was 6-7 years ago.
