So I just discovered Scout Crossing (http://scoutcrossing.net/that-time-when/) and it seems just like Scott Pilgrim, which is to say hipsters fighting each other in rather grandiose fashions.

So to those who've read it, is that it? Is it a good read?

That looks like the most terrible comic I have ever seen.

Hipster?
According to this review (http://webcomicoverlook.com/2010/11/10/the-webcomic-overlook-142-scout-crossing/) (which, for all the words it spews can't make this sound like anything other than an inferior Scott Pilgrim) the series actually focuses on scenesters. Which is probably for the best, as nobody has been able to come up with a workable definition of hipster for awhile (cf. Seil's description of Scott Pilgrim).

But good lord is that artwork way too busy. I know O'Malley got some guff from people who had trouble telling the character's apart, but I'll take cartoonish and simplified over LOOK AT ALL THIS DRAWING any day of the week.

I would be amazed if anything managed to be more Scott Pilgrim "Lite" than Scott Pilgrim already was.
