Seriously. Go see it. Its awesome.

Best way I can think to describe it is that its sort of the same kind of movie as Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but with Westerns instead of Film Noir and cartoon characters.

I had mixed feelings when I saw previews, it looked good, but I was so worried they'd do something to screw it up

I haven't heard anything in particular about the movie that makes it sound any good, except the lone fact that Johnny Depp is playing a major role, and I honestly believe that warrants watching it even if its bad.

It's definitely not a movie for small children-- there's some jokes that aren't quite appropriate, some intense scenes that might be a bit scary to small kids (Rattlesnake Jake, the Spanish Daggers, and also the dream sequences), and a variety of small animals damning each other to hell.

That being said, this movie has some od the most gorgeous animation I have seen in a very long time. Oddly enough, it's probably the best WESTERN movie I've seen in a long time, too. I'd see it again in theatres.

EDIT: There's also a pretty awesome Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas reference, which earns points in my book.
