Just the Manga though but this means the Anime coming back out is not too out of view. Anyone else nearly destroy their mother's ears two rooms away with their scream of joy?

Yeah, BSSM is the show that got me fully hooked into Anime. ^_^

Now, I hope you guys know I'm not the type to post in threads and be all like, "I don't like this; this is dumb," but I'm posting this as not that big a fan of Sailor Moon. Like, I know basically what went down, I watched it on Toonami, all that, but I never watched the show all the way through.

With that out of the way, you know this is just a reprinting of the existing comics, right? Apparently, with stuff cut out, since it's cut down by six books and all. Why be excited about partial redraws to a comic that wasn't that artistically stunning* to begin with?

*I'm calling it ugly there, by the way. I've read shoujo comics, but then there's Sailor Moon. The cartoon looks better, and that's never good.

It's ugly now, yes... but... by in it's own period, wasn't it the norm? Dragonball is sure as hell not the best thing drawn on paper either, and i know at least half a dozen more mangas that look, simply, poorly drawn by today's standards

yea but if I'm not mistaken DBZ Kai was strictly the anime and the reason they did it was that what people hated most about it, was that it was padded to hell and back.

You know, I went and read a few chapters (well, I looked at the pictures, anyway). I was unfairly judging the art on the awful covers. The inside, while a little heavy on tones ('cause what shoujo comic isn't?) is really nothing especially bad.

Okay, I think you misunderstand phil. They are rereleasing the whole Manga with some updated drawing and compressing it into fewer volumes. On top of that they are releasing for the first time the manga that launched Sailor Moon; Codename Sailor V...which is the prequel to Sailor Moon.

Sailor Moon was not padded and filled to death as an anime thankfully and the only multi-episode fights were towards the end of seasons. Rumors were flying last year that Funimation was going to redub ahd release the whole series again, including the 5th Season that never came stateside. NOw, for those not in the know...the reason why was that three of the characters were men who transformed into women as Senshi (Naoko stated that only females can be Senshi so it's canon). This is also in the Manga but I think they let up with the Manga. Also, one of the Starlights attacks was "Star Gentle Uterus"...so yeah this wouldn't of flown well on TV stateside during the late 90's, early 2000's. Tokyopop re-editted it to be "Star Gentle Creator" instead to not offend parents or conservatives.
