Posting in the RP thread feels so strange. It's like I had done it a long time ago...how mysterious...

I'm trying to resolve a small issue with Menarker regarding the pictures, so here's a strange video in the meantime.

(Kirie was also forgotten too but she's an brawler type NPC, so she probably wouldn't have contributed to very much, although she might have had some insight from her interactions with the other Kimonos.) *Shrugs*

Quite an unfortunate characteristic for a PC! Totally like wallpaper, and not exciting one at that! (No offense to your character Dante, but it's just a running gag that has been going on, even outside of canon, like the first sprite comic where you were not listed in the list of guys.)

Also, Honmyrr's currencies are weirdly diverse. Renny being paid in Poke-dollars, Cyril saying that Burkmont wouldn't pay a single Yen for her safety and such. :3 Not that that's bad (and it fit given how the yen is worth less than the dollar and Burkmont wouldn't even pay the tiniest amount) but it was just unusual to note. ^^

I have a theory in the back of my head that the Chroma imprints on the first person that finds it (Elliot in this case) since it would be odd for it to respond to only him from the start, especially if it was around before Elliot was ever born.
Of course, if such an idea is true, it would make me wonder if there are more undiscovered Chroma which could find new imprints (motivation for those who would use them for dark purposes) or if they are all linked together like a hive mind of sort...

I wonder about that too.

I think of Chroma as some sort of artifact McGuffin like a gem which atunes to and empowers things but otherwise isn't sentient, while Primal Exist is like a sentient program.

If Faynoc cloned the Chroma Fragments (Primal Exist) for experiemental use, where did he get the orignal ones? Back in Renny's sidequest, the Kimonos said that the Primal Exist was under the Fahngrest Ruins where they were stationed. Aside from the fact that the Prideguard have been attacking the Kimonos there...

Been working on the NPC lists. It's slow going, but hopefully I'll have some sort of result to show you later on.

Looking further in the same thread, Idolus gathered some of the shards from Tri-Scar Canyon. Given how Idolus and that poison general Graxs communicated with each other and how Granxs seemed to be working in conjuction with Faynoc, it's possible that Idolus was a provider for some of the fragments.

However, I don't like that theory completely because PATCA now has a tentative truce with Idolus, who could have informed them about the location of Millenium House if did have contact with Faynoc before (unless they met in some other location, but Granx knows the location obviously since we just encountered him inside, so we can presume Idolus knows...)

Assuming that we don't kill him for real that is. Haven't managed to kill a Ruin General for good yet. Phantomere is a shadow of his former self, and the 4 of the Ruin Generals are in a truce with PATCA, 3 of which are selectable destroyers.

And he certainly didn't win any points with him trying to kill us and all that.

Besides, he's a walking poison death cloud. We couldn't keep safely keep him in headquarters or in the battlefield unless we wore gas masks 24/7 or so. Kinda of a big liability...

I mean, suppose you've been to Route 126 once or twice, but, because every fucking route from somewhere to somewhere else is a dumbass number, the only way you'd know that Route 126 is that seawatery area around Sootopolis City is either if you're really good at remembering that shit (doubtful) or if you have a map function on your Pokedex.

Now, thanks to the Pokedex, the game creators really didn't need to give the routes actual names because if you need to know where Route 126 is, fuck, just open the Pokedex and move the cursor around until you find it, but if the route has a name that helps you know where the hell it is just by its obvious and simple name...

It is a weird name, however, it does make a tiny bit of sense. The town is situated inside a hollowed out mountain (perhaps a dead volcano?) where the roof is open. The mountain is basically one big chimney, hence Soot-opolis.

I said drastically, not completely. Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense as opposed to another character. There still need some sort of shred of identity to them to make the omakes work. Also, it doesn't work for every character (at least not all the time)

EDIT: I notice a distinct lack of suspcious pauses and such in Impact's speech when AB controls him. :3 Although this may be because he's in his element as a soldier as opposed to trying to chat up with people.

AB, a question here for the sake of in-story context/depth.

Does PATCA pays well? You know, enough to get a decent living and benefits, pay for food, housing and some personal luxuries? Do some of those things get subsidies or so, since the employees are effectively soldiers and trained experts risking their lives and such? Also, are they paid regular salaries where they have duties even outside of specific missions or is it unreliable part time job where they are only paid on the basis of each mission

I was just wondering because Moon has a business on the side (extra job) and several of the other characters either were already wealthy or had jobs or professions before joining PATCA, hence I was wondering if working for PATCA alone is enough to pay the bills. I thought it might be an interesting thought regarding how the PCs and NPCs operate, especially outside of PATCA missions.

Unless she was given away for adoption at some point (you honestly believe Faynoc could put off his work to raise a child) and that's where it all started or something. But then, one wonders why Faynoc killed her adoptive parents in the first place, unless they were acting against his scientific interests. It's not like he would have cared where she was or what anyone was doing to her.


Of course, I could just be overthinking it and it's merely just PLOTHOLE or Moera talking shit in the middle of combat (although it seems like a weird thing to lie about since she seemed so very proud of the fact).

Well, yeah, but she isn't behaving Loony Toons batshit insane. She can still lead a coherent conversation and have an agenda which she attempts to carry out.

So to me, it's less a question about her sanity and more about clarifying the context of what happened back then. If Faynoc really did save her from abusive parents, then at least there is a understandable if misguided motivation for her wanting to serve him. Faynoc being her father would still be a feasible motivation if she sought his approval, but the nature of the relationship would be quite different from if she viewed him as her personal savior. Additionally, the reason why this distinction is important is because her expressed anger at her sexually abusive parents makes it exclusively seperate from the idea that Faynoc could be her father, except under some very specific circumstances or at least a very flexible defination of "parents".

That said, with all sorts of medical experimentations going on, her mind being warped is a distinct possibility, but that's more of a compounding factor on an existing theory than a seperate explaination.

Maybe I should actually have Renny say something along that line though. :3

Let's see... on top of Lola being the main target, Whitney is the other target for a love partner, AB suggested Moera as an unwanted harem member if I ask too many questions, Drac remarked that Elizabeth would try to corrupt Renny as well as "introduce him" to Leprihare, AB said that Fujiko has a taste for shota, and that's assuming that no one else appears or develops affection for Renny.

On a total side note, I read that pokeballs operate in a manner similar to this.

When trying to capture a pokemon, the pokeball attempts to trigger and exploit the pokemon's instinctive urge to protect themselves in a manner similar to a fetal position (since their form gets captured into a condensed and ball shaped form like the fetal form). The more a pokemon is weakened and affected by status condition, ideally the more likely the pokemon stops fighting back and just goes fetal trying to protect itself, where in it gets caught because it stops resisting. Of course, stronger pokemons are less likely to succumb to this instinct and will violently fight until they can't fight anymore.

I think that's implied as an end result of a successful capture. They are your best buds no matter how heated the battle to capture them was. Even after a half hour pokemon battle after 60+ Ultra Balls and tons of status affliction and whittling their health down.

Well, for some reason, I can't seem to find the thread where we discussed our battle formation. So I guess I'm writing it down here and their roles... and what we need.

I think that's implied as an end result of a successful capture. They are your best buds no matter how heated the battle to capture them was. Even after a half hour pokemon battle after 60+ Ultra Balls and tons of status affliction and whittling their health down.

Although, now I'm wondering if Jeanette is a destroyer after all. She carries pokemons as well. I don't think a destroyer class is compatible with a trainer class on the same character...

We know that Melanie is available since she's a redundant medic, but unless I'm mistaken, it's likely that Elizabeth and/or Violet would also appear around the same time as Pierce will, making them viable choices too. Jeanette might also be a choice if she ends up not being a destroyer. I'll take one of the remaining ones that you don't choose.

Also, to ask again, what is Violet's second and third form?

Additionally, does Jeanette have a full team of pokemons (IE: more than her 2 pokemons Grodon and Kyogre) or is she just possessing those two in particular?

If I remember correctly, I think the idea was that Ricewood was a Destroyer (she had a large weapon) but before the teams reunited, it gets broken, changing Jeanette's class to...I'm not sure anymore. Dracorion should have it all now.

If he don't, I guess I'll just have to recreate them, which wouldn't be much of a bother. But Jeanette does have a full party of Pokemon.
