Dancing with the stars is really the only reality show that I like to watch. It is fun to see celebrities who have never danced become really good dancers. The problem, however, is that it at times becomes a popularity contest, where less well-known contestants who are clearly very good get eliminated simply because they are less well-known (see Petra this week). Meanwhile, very popular celebrities can sometimes coast to the finals regardless of the lack of talent they may actually have (see Donnie Osmond a couple of years ago). Luckily, they usually get it right (Nichole Shirzinger and Jennifer Grey last year, though Brandy should have made it to the finals last season), but it gets frustrating when a really talented contestant like Petra gets eliminated while a less talented but very popular one, like Kirsti Ally, gets to coast.

That is my rant, feel free to vent about shows that you love and hate at the same time. :raise:

Uh, jeez, dude. Can't you at least watch Top Shot to get your reality show fix? Or at least not say that you're watching Dancing with the Stars?

Top Shot is kind of dumb btw I mean seriously why are they still voting when they just keep voting for that guy they don't like? It should just be the two crappiest people go to elimination every week when they get to where there are no teams. Oh, well, it's almost over for the season, maybe next year.

Dude, the ladies like someone who knows how to dance. Therefore, watching dancing with the stars is a noble pursuit.

My thoughts exactly. ;)

I think it is more that ladies like guys who will let them watch Dancing With The Stars on their TV instead of hogging the remote. So I guess it works out pretty well either way.

Plus there is a lot of eye-candy among the pro dancers: such as Lacy, Karina, Anna, Kim, Cheryl, Chelsie, as well as Brooke Burke as one of the hosts. I wish Edyta would come back, I always looked forward to seeing more of her. :D

Man, I keep trying to give walker ways out of this by bringing up the "don't really want to watch it but I do it for the ladies" scenario but clearly he is hopeless!

In the reality show vein, me and my coworkers newest guilty pleasure is watching Hoarders: Buried Alive and then talking about it the next day in hushed and horrified tones.

But, see, I actually don't watch it. You see, I have an aunt and her husband who are basically just like those people, but like a hundred times worse, so I just tell them real stories about them and they think I'm somehow seeing episodes they're missing out on.

There's no reason for me to watch it, I watch it and literally go, "Man, that's not that bad. I need to call these people so they can exploit my crazy aunt and uncle." But I don't think they could really help. We've tried to help them a thousand times but they just enjoy sleeping on the floor, surrounded by newspapers and car parts.

I am hopeless on so many levels, it is scary. Believe me, you do not want to plumb the depths about just how much of a sad little person I really am.
