Yes and no. It is not really at all like South Park...though the English dub at least had plenty of cultural references. I thought it was pretty hilarious when I watched it (which was all in a row for one or two nights...I don't think it's the kind of show you watch once a week, really).

Yeah...I saw just a few minutes years ago of it and wanted to throw my TV out the window cause I refuse to accept it is anime and that is the same opinion I have on Afro-Samurai.

And this is the same reaction my friend had to it as well and she would of been throwing her laptop out of a window.

short answer, a comedy series, sub-genre gag maybe satire. Original Japanese version I'd say sitcom

Would you care to elaborate on precisely why it offended you on such a deep and personal level? I'm especially interested to know why you think it's not anime. Not enough bishies for you to ship?

Or better option, give it to me instead. Her laptop will thank her for it.
