Kate Beaton is fantastic (http://www.harkavagrant.com/index.php?id=311).
Good talk, end of talk.

I mean Hark a Vagrant has done some pretty great stuff over the years but Strong Female Characters is like a new pinnacle of excellence, pretty much every single part of it is fantastic in a completely brilliant way.

I think Carly Monardo and Meredith Gran deserve some credit for co-creating these wonderful ladies, who might I say are spectacular role models for young ladies and incredibly appealing to us male readers to boot.

Yes! Carly's been posting some wonderful (http://tickledfancy.tumblr.com/post/7001645078/georgia-oqueefes-devastating-bullet-breast) things (http://tickledfancy.tumblr.com/post/7036503984/ive-drawn-some-more-comics-featuring-our) to her Tumblr.
And Meredith designed the t-shirt (http://twitpic.com/5hwm17)!
Finding stuff like this is basically why I have a Twitter.

I dunno, this one didn't really do it for me. I usually love Hark! A Vagrant though.

I only browse Hark! A Vagrant occasionally, but I'm never disappointed when I do.

Hark! a Vagrant is either stupendously awesome or just regular awesome; there's never any bad comics. Also she references Canada (http://www.harkavagrant.com/index.php?id=8) a lot, which makes me feel special.

Three greatest Canadians in history, in no particular order:
-Pierre Trudeau.
-Nathan Fillion.
-Kate Beaton.
Like, I don't follow Hark! A Vagrant as it updates, but every time I stumble upon the page I'm stuck hitting the random button for hours. It's just beautifully clever.

Hark! A Vagrant is one of the few webcomics that goes straight to my RSS reader.

I had initially thought that Kate Beaton's wonderfulness was something that went without saying; but now that you've brought it up, I'm glad we have a venue for conversation on this clearly vital subject.

My three greatest Canadians in history:
1. Kate Beaton
2. Alex Trebek
3. I don't know any other Canadians, I think it is telling I have no idea who those other two you listed are.
HOWEVER this comic has introduced me to several historical Canadians, if I remember correctly. I just don't remember them, which means I should go read it some more to try and remember them!

Well Jefferson had a whole scad of truths that were self-evident but still felt he had to write them down because apparently some people like to lie to themselves. Like people who say they don't like Kate Beaton.

Jim Carrey, Mike Myers and Steve Perry are all born in Canada, and some of the greatest comedians alive if you're into that sort of thing.
But yeah everything Beaton does is pretty much so amazing I can only stand it in small infrequent doses. I don't want to get used to her.

Kate Beaton does a lot of historical Canadian comics so I will undoubtedly catch up eventually.

I thought Kate Beaton made a pretty good case for Mike Pearson!

Hey, I had a Canadian history class in high middle school.
Just anything interesting happened when they were a British colony or during the War of 1812. Seriously, it got up to like 1814 and then it was like "they later became sort of independent but not totally. In fact they had some rebellions similar to the American revolution but lost instead of winning. Canada has a parliament and a prime minister instead of a congress and a president. Canada fought in World War II. Canada today is a multifaceted nation. It's main exports are lumber, minerals, and the half of Hollywood that isn't Jewish." Okay I threw in that last part. That would have been an interesting thing to write. Instead I had to learn all the provinces. Except some of them are called territories. I don't remember if they are actually provinces that are just called territories, though.
Just pretty boring all around. Canadian Bacon was a cool movie, though, I kind of wish that had actually happened. Also I will read more Kate Beaton to try and expand my knowledge of Canadian history.
EDIT: Oh, hey, according to the mostly fake plot of The Untouchables the RCMP helped catch Al Capone. Hopefully that part was true.

Are you saying that Lester Mike Pearson is a better person than Pierre "Just Watch Me (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7_a2wa2dd4&feature=player_detailpage#t=345s)" Trudeau, Nathan "Guess I'm Just A Good Man (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uMAKtXlXf4&feature=player_detailpage#t=40s)" Fillion, or Kate "Ooh Mr Darcy (http://www.harkavagrant.com/index.php?id=120)" Beaton?
And Magus if you want me to I can correct you on all of the falsehoods they apparently taught you in middle school Canadian History.

So you're saying its not a multifaceted nation? Okay, I kind of figured that was puffery on their part.

You kidding? Each and every single one of us is basically Bob and/or Doug MacKenzie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACApP94ei14).
