If you dont know why Megas XLR should be discussed, I pity you more then any other person on this forum. The member with no arms or legs? His life is still superior to yours because he has seen this show.

As for the topic at hand I wanted to share something I discovered. Coop's battle theme has a lyrical version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsIQ-Hl2Ba0), and like most things having to do with this show I found it pretty awesome

Well, I, you, and chicks dig giant robots.

^This is objectively false, though it might be pretty cool if it were true.

Thread made me do some googling, and I found this thread with links to all the Megas XLR buttons (http://www.narutoforums.com/showthread.php?t=520497). I will now be busy smiling for the rest of the day.

Love it, IHMN! Thanks!

So, I forgot to drop some golden nuggets of musical awesome here last time. Seriously, music was one of this series' strongest points. Which is odd when you're talking about a show that's about two slackers and a female space marine riding in a giant robot with a sports car instead of a head!

(Note: all of these but the actual opening put up on YouTube by a guy I don't know, and are of the same make as Aerozoid's first link; the guy's page is here (http://www.youtube.com/user/Danthepest1#g/u), and I'd recommend creating a playlist of Megas music just to enjoy for a short time; I just found and listened to a few of these quickly, and they're fun, some I don't really remember, but there you go)
Main theme (full) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-kYiDbG39s)
The Actual Opening (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDAPGLO-r4s)
"Final Verdict (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZmQkWm1yn0)"
"Here We Go (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hq-Yjfe4rUs)"
"Unidentified Flying Objects (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gmRTqM6ZS0)"
"Ska'd 4 Life (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssrE1Mwhb3w&feature=related)"
"Viper Room Rumble (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBiL6B3OatU&feature=related)"

E: just to clarify, I don't claim these are (subjectively or objectively) the best or even most representative examples or anything, they were just nifty as I came across them.

I rewatched a lot of the series recently, and I started noticing a lot of the little nods to various robot/sci-fi animes of old. Aside from some of the more noticeable ones, like the V-shaped fins that are fairly universal to Gundams, there are characters from older series such as Chirico Cuvie (http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/1/16201/1681547-chirico_3_large.jpg) standing in a crowd of people during the Sailor Moon parody episode, and the Space Battleship Yamato (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_gWQaU40PH24/TRFVXitkT1I/AAAAAAAAJ9w/nO45HgBdeE0/s1600/yamato%255B1%255D.jpg) is used when Coop pushes the big button in the first episode.

Not to mention things like T-Bot (Mr. T if he WAS A ROBOT), the S-Force (Voltron/PowerRangers parody with the greatest combination sequence of all time. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cl5Mg2SiYqk)

Can also see Grape Ape in episode 2.

So I decided to rewatch the episodes again and with my nephew. After we finished the first one he asked if that was all I had, when I told him no he said "I want to watch them all"

*sniff* so proud
