So, as I'm sure you're all aware, the post-reboot Inspector Spacetime is six episodes into its third season, and frankly, I'm loving it, but I think Reggie is holding the show back. Don't get me wrong, Wigglesworth is a fantastic Cohort (Hell, I'd say he's up there with Lisa-Marie Lakes!), but it's time to move on. He had great chemistry with IX, but truly, after Spacetime Refreshed into X, it's just not the same. With any luck, this will be his last season.

On that note, I'm a little worried. I appreciate that the Blorgons have been an icon of terror since 1962, but that's just it. They're a little... dated. While I understand catering to nostalgia, they just aren't the same anymore. It doesn't help that they're so overused as to basically be a joke. Where are the Mendroids! The Lirusians? I'm calling it now, we're just gonna have another OH NO BLORGONS ERADICATING HUMANITY season finale, and we'll all be disappointed. On the plus side, next season is TLD's last year as head writer. I'm pretty excited that Toffee's taking over, even if he is going to be bringing along a new Inspector. Everything he's leaked about the Noise seems pretty damn exciting! Aliens that place themselves into your memories just to fuck with you? It'll be like Bleach, but less sucky!

So, how do you all feel about this season? And please, don't just let this turn into another Landlord vs Cooker debate. We all know that every Inspector is the best.

I for one appreciate the Community reference and the time and work put into it.

I am definitely okay with making fun of Dr. Who.

So after the great joke first post, can we make this a Community thread?

I am awaiting season 3's Australian premiere with great envy. I mean this season has John Goodman and Michael K Williams from The FUCKING Wire in it. Best comedy on TV right now, it's made me like Chevy Chase as an actor whereas prior to this show I only found him irritating.

Britta is also a favourite, she's consistently a terrible person and her actress does an amazing job conveying it.

Actually what I was hoping for.

The Dean's okay, I guess, but comes nowhere near Abed's brilliance.

Digging the hell out of this season; the only episode I felt was weak was 3.03, but rewatching it knowing it was supposed to come after 3.04 helped a little.

Look I'm sorry but everyone knows that being the Inspector is a younger man's game, but with this latest run of... well okay Harcourt was acceptable, sort of on the line there, but now you've got this codger Rixby running all over time and well I SAY running, it's more of a semi-brisk walk except he has to stop every couple of minutes to make sure he hasn't broken a hip.

I feel bad admitting to this, but...

I watched Season 1 of Community. And not a single episode since.

So everybody's favourite episode? Advanced Dungeons and Dragons here. Also probably a good place to jump into the series if you're interested.

Physical Education is by far my favourite episode. The entire Abed sidestory is hilarious, and it culminates in that awesome game of pool with "Werewolves of London" cranked in the background. Every part of that episode is wonderful.

Runner up is "Beginner Pottery," just for that awesome scene where Jeff sings that Righteous Brother's song and the pottery teacher loses his mind.
