Hello everybody. I'm thinking of running a game again and would like to see what people are interested in doing. I have four options I'm considering so please take a look.
Demons, Samurai and Peaches, oh my!
More than a little inspired by Raiden's Soldiers of Light games of many moons ago. A motley group of adventurous sorts running around feudal Japan to save the land, and a band of demons and evil minded sorts out to stop them.
You see, a century ago a demon caused havoc by sneaking into heaven, gorging on the celestial peaches and burning down the peach grove. The gods cast him down from the heavens and dropped a mountain on him, as gods do.
The problem is those peaches are needed to sustain the gods' immortal existence, so things have steadily gotten worse since then. The plan is to collect various items that will allow the heroes to get to the buried demon king and remove the peach stones lodged in his gut to restore the heavens and bring in a new age of prosperity.
Project CITYFIGHT
You must defeat an entire city to win the game.
Something of a sequel to Project MOONBATTLE.
This is not a terribly serious game. It's set in a dream-like world filled with gods and spirits and the unquiet ghost of Alice In Wonderland, where anyone can be a hero.
Trains, spiders, snakes, demons, doctors, princesses, teachers, policemen, angels.
You will have to defeat (and possibly fight) all of them.
The Secrecy Ruse Was A Distraction
Shadowy government agencies have been in a secret war for decades with alien infiltrators.
You are the aliens.
Eclipse Phase
Eclipse Phase is essentially higher tech cyberpunk in space. I will be running it mainly freeform because the chargen is a nightmare.
Years in the past (but not too many), the world ended. It was the classic story. Man builds computer. Computer becomes self aware. Computer hates man. Computer wages war of extermination (?) with man. Man dies. Man flees to space. Computer disappears. Alien mindvirus is possibly behind it all.
In the aftermath of the TITANs, humanity was left to rebuild. This involves a lot of cloning/building robots and loading the stored backups of dead people into cyborgs/robots/computers/roborgs. Mars is semi-terraformed and humanity's spread across the Solar System. Earth is a quarantine zone.
In this particular game, the players will be working in the exciting field of asset retrieval. And by 'asset' I mean 'a thing that exists' and by 'retrieval' I mean 'taking it away from someone else'.
