Like I know this is pretty late to the game but I just have to agree with The Sevenshot Kid's prognosis that the new Batman was pretty damn awesome. I haven't enjoyed comic books this much in a long while.

Also the new Batman & Robin is equally engrossing. In fact I think it is better than Batman which is saying a lot since Batman is pretty amazing.

The other Batman books are...eh. Pretty average. This statement includes Catwoman, Nightwing, etc, too. Been reading most of them and they're not really must reads. In fact I kind of dislike Detective Comics which is surprising since it is the other main Batman comic. The most recent issue made me want to continue, though, so we'll see.

I've been kind of meh about all the other books in the New 52, especially since I've only been really following about 15 of the series. All-Star Western is pretty good. The Flash is good. The main Justice League is sort of okay.

Superman is pretty terrible, actually. Just have to say. Quite terrible. Action Comics is only slightly better, replete with pretty terrible new origins for some of the villains. Chubby, out of shape Lex Luthor is kind of lame. Unless they're going for a long-game thing where he like, starts pumping iron because of his intense jealousy of Superman. That would be interesting. Not sure if they're clever enough to do this.

Aquaman is terrible. Every issue is about how everybody thinks Aquaman sucks, even when he proves that he doesn't suck. He then complains to his girlfriend that he is depressed that everybody thinks he sucks. This was funny for one issue--now it's just terrible. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

So they canceled Hawk and Dove. I saw that coming. They then gave Rob Liefeld Deathstroke to draw. So I guess we can expect that comic to not only be written badly, but terribly, terribly drawn. God bless you, Mr. Liefeld. You make my day sunnier with the hilarious stuff coming out of your portfolio.

If we're talking DC again, Batgirl is the most disappointing read since ever, as is most of the other new 52s.

Still mad that they canceled Batman Beyond.

I'm struggling to remember the current plotline of Batgirl, so suffice it to say I did not find it enthralling, either. Pretty sure she defeated Mirror then there was something else going on, blah blah. Not really interesting.

Still mad that they canceled Batman Beyond.

They're bringing Batman Beyond back and it should start up right where issue 8 (9? Whichever one had the origin of Inque) left off. The first run is going to be collected in TPB as Batman Beyond: Industrial Revolution, with the new series starting up in March or something.

I think it's going to be called Batman Beyond Unlimited or something, though. But it's going to have the same writing/art team. I'm glad because it was indeed one of my favorite comics right before the reboot.

EDIT:

Here's the page (http://www.dccomics.com/dccomics/comics/?cm=21090):

Written by ADAM BEECHEN, DEREK FRIDOLFS and DUSTIN NGUYEN; Art by NORM BREYFOGLE, DUSTIN NGUYEN and DEREK FRIDOLFS; Cover by DUSTIN NGUYEN
A new era begins with the debut of the oversized, monthly BATMAN BEYOND UNLIMITED, featuring the print debut of the new Justice League Beyond!

In the Batman Beyond chapter, legendary Batman artist Norm Breyfogle returns to draw the Dark Knight of the future with best-selling writer Adam Beechen. In "10,000 Clowns," an onslaught of new Jokerz is plaguing Gotham City – and the implications of this chaotic clown menace could have disastrous consequences for Terry McGinnis and Bruce Wayne!

And the debut of the Justice League Beyond is here, courtesy of the BATMAN: STREETS OF GOTHAM art team of Dustin Nguyen and Derek Fridolfs, as the first two digital-first chapters are available in print for the first time! Batman Beyond is a new recruit in the mighty Justice League, but the team will be immediately tested by a very Neo Gotham-related enemy! How will the team work together to combat this threat?

So pretty much two comics in one! I'm excited.

I concur on Batman and Robin, I gave up on Detective Comics, but, as an Aquaman fan, I love the new series. And Action Comics is actually one of my favorites. Albeit, this is post-Grounded. If this were simply post-New Krypton then I might feel differently because New Krypton was the pinnacle of Superman in an ongoing. The Flash is one of my favorites out of the New 52.

Back to Batman, holy shit #5 was so fucking great! And then #6 was great too! It's all great!

Aquaman's plot is...okay I guess (insofar as you can create plots revolving around fighting sea monsters, WHOOPS I STEREOTYPED AQUAMAN, SEE HE CAN TAKE DOWN A VAN OF GANGSTERS...RIGHT BEFORE HE FIGHTS SEA MONSTERS FOR FIVE ISSUES WHICH WAS WHAT HAPPENED), but man how can you stand them beating that "Everyone thinks Aquaman sucks" pop culture/internet meme to death every comic? It's such a niche meme, too. I mean, it only applies to people 1. familiar enough with comics to know who Aquaman is but 2. unfamiliar enough with comics to believe it, people who are probably not actually reading Aquaman.

Like I said, first issue it was funny, now it's just not funny.
