Together they fight evil, so unbelievable! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtlHz9PZS-8)
After years and years of trying, The Aquabats! have their own TV show on The Hub. Chronicling their adventures in their battle tram, The Aquabats! save the world and Saturdays from boredom and evil.
Mixing live-action monster-of-the-week antics and animated segments, the show evokes Saturday morning shows of old while managing to still be fresh for the five-second attention span audience. It manages to straddle the fine line between being knowingly lame, rolling its eyes long with you, and revelling in its own charming silliness.
Overall, a surprisingly fun show that manages to appeal to an older audience while still succeeding in its original goals.
I still can't believe they finally managed to get their own show! After managing Yo Gabba Gabba, I had sort of suspected they'd cut their losses and be happy with that, but it just goes to show that you can't stop The Aquabats! from going for the gold. I haven't gotten to watch the show yet, but it's definitely something I'm looking forward to; they've been one of my favorites since high school.

Oh, and the people they get to appear on the show is great too: Mega64 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJAFxaJYC6Q) made some fake adverts for the show, John Hader (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYwxyJuxFjg) shows up for a lazer guitar duel and Matt Chapman of Homestar Runner writes and directs episodes.
I still want to know is what the hell is with the uniforms changing from Charge!!-era blue to Hi-Five Soup!-era purple in the title sequence.

That's so funny! I watched half an episode, and I was like, "Man, this is that Limozeen cartoon that Strongbad was watching!"

Dammit Bobbeh. I bought an episode off iTunes after you mentioned it and now I'm totally addicted to this. It's so delightfully cornball!!
I blame you entirely.
