I wonder if keanu is going to be in this? I mean if he was it would draw unnessassary attention to his being an immortal and unaging abomination.

Dude! Keanu Reeves confirms to The Independent that the script for "Bill and Ted 3" is finished. “Yeah, we have a script,” Reeves told the British paper. "We’re trying to put it together. It’s a good script too.” Reeves’ co-star in time-traveling misadventure, Alex Winter, tweeted the good news on Sunday: “Script done? Check. We love it? Check. Green light? Working on it!”

And also this

It’s been around nine months now since we last heard anything vaguely concrete about the mooted third movie in the Bill & Ted series. The last news was that a script had been penned by Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson, but there’s been no progress since. So, what’s been happening?

“In all frankness”, Alex Winter has now told IndieWire, “it’s just a slow universe. It took us fifteen years to come up with an idea that we thought we’d want to do”.

In the new interview, he said that “the script only got finished two months ago and it’s really green. It’s the beginning of what could be nothing, frankly.”

He added that, “There's hooplah because frickin' Reeves keeps blathering about it. Every time he's interviewed he talks about it and he's one of my closest friends and I love him dearly but I think he's got a very post-modern sense of humor. I think he's doing it partially just to fuck with people. Because if he says it, everyone goes crazy and I think he just goes 'Muah ha ha'."

"[But] we wrote a script, we like it, we don't really even have the rights. We kinda have the rights. There's a long road of crap we have to deal with before it ever, if it ever, becomes a movie.”

Winter said that if the film didn’t get made, he’d put the script for it online. And he also dismissed reports that Werner Herzog was up for directing the film. “Herzog said yes, not knowing anything about it. Jokingly”, said Winter. “No one asked him officially”.

I'm telling it right now, if this pops up on the big screen, i'm going just to see what Keanu Reeves doing a comedy looks like in this day and age!

Opening day.

EDIT: If it's awful i will write keanu a letter saying I'm sorry it didn't work out but I know he meant well and I'm still glad that he tried.

Opening day.

Despite the adult in me going "No. Don't."

The ADHD riddled child in me is running around the room whooping in excitement.

Heaven help me, the second movie was one of my favorite movies as a child.

I've always felt that the nonexistence of a canon Bill and Ted/Doctor Who crossover was one of Earth's greatest disappointments.

These movies were pretty trippy to a five-year-old, let me tell you. Especially challenging Death to a game of Twister to get out of hell (he wanted to play chess, but Bill and Ted weren't having none of that Seventh Seal shenanigans!). But I'm kinda reacting the same way I have to all the other lapsed, near-two-decade-old properties they are bringing back, with quite a bit of disinterest.

How can you not like it, it is THE stoner movie. Though I wouldn't see it in theaters, nor would I get it on DVD, look for it on youtube, no no. This is the kind of thing you randomly find on Comedy Central when you are bored. That is how you properly watch Bill and Ted
