I thought she didn't return Finn's feelings, but I just saw a preview that implies Bubblegum isn't too happy about Flame Princess being in his life! What's gonna happen?! Also Marceline is gonna be in it / the second story, so that's terrific too.

I love that a wacky, goofball show like this is so great!

The vibe I'm getting from the promos that I've seen is that Bubblegum has other reasons and Jake is blowing it out of proportion because he's a ridiculous gossip.

Either way I'm sure it'll be a masterful episode, like most of them. Sons of Mars was perfect.

Equally likely!!

So this episode indeed was super good.

Tuggin' at my heart guts somethin' fierce. I hope Bubblegum comes around and starts looking for a way to help Finn and Flame Princess be together instead of trying to keep them apart.

I loved this episode.

Princess Bubblegum has her fucking priorities in check. "Petty love triangle" is right.

Surprising number of people got mad at her for caring about saving the world. Fandom be crazy.

Oh, no doubt, keeping Flame Princess from accidentally destroying the world is the biggest thing. I just wonder if that has to take the form of locking her up.

ok if her dad knew this, agreed with it, why'd he go
"oh you want to date my daughter that could destroy the planet if she falls in love? SURE"

Maybe PB didn't tell him what was up? I kinda wondered myself.

Or maybe it's Adventure Time and people do all sorts of shit just 'cause they felt like it.

I was kind of under the assumption that the king was sort of evil himself.

Like, pawning the princess off to another kingdom so she wouldn't be his responsibility anymore.

Or maybe he's not evil, and genuinely thought that Finn was talented enough prince to handle FP.

To be fair I remember him making the trials a pretty big pain in the ass. I'm sure he thought anybody who could get through them could deal with a little meltdown here and there.

you know what, screw that plot hole

wasn't it adorable how they were using the rock to indirectly kiss?

So fucking adorable oh my gosh.

Also it came to me how much the Fire King would care about the whole world... getting engulfed in fire.
